Not even a simple hello?
Edit 1: Wow we are trending. Anyway I also added this to answer a recurring question I am getting and I know that the characters talked during the vanilla campaign but not afterwards. How can people not talk after 2 years. That is the reason I made this and before you guys say they would need to get the 6 voice actors back to do more voices I know but I mean in a literal aspect how can someone go 2 years without talking?

3 AntwortenDoes link ever talk in Zelda? I don't remember anymore. Loved those games and honestly I only remember link saying "hiya" "ugh" "eh" "heeeeya" lmfao still loved that game to death <3 I guess I just got acclimated to RPG styles that didn't have your character constantly talking. Anyways in retrospect I wish link used the many chances he had to make some jojo bizarre-esque lines.

It's pretty obvious actually. At first he/she was dead. Then, they were revived by the ghost. Our guardians have dead person breath and try to speak as minimally as possible.

No. School. Duh. Idk

How have you not learned to turn off your caps lock?

Strong silent type.

5 AntwortenDestiny has poor storytelling and character depth. I don't feel inclined to even safe the Last City because I don't even know what it looks like. Destiny fails in the aspect that you ever feel like you're in real danger even though the premise is being on your last leg to push the darkness back. TTK had great storytelling, but due to there being a lack of more after a few cutscenes it easily went the route of grimoire. Compare Destiny to Halo because well we can and should. Halo had/has an amazing story (thought it derailed after Halo 3) and Destiny started with an amazing story but is handed to us like some 2yr old drawing on paper with broken crayons. Sorry Bungie, even your voice actors admit your game lacks genuine depth to story and characters.

Because Destinys story sucks

Like to think of myself more a man of actions then words

21 AntwortenComing to Eververse. Guardian speech emotes! Make your guardian talk by purchasing one of four actual speech lines. We've got: Hey there gorgeous I am so tired of the crucible Yyyaaaaaawwnnnn ~Cozmo Do I make you thorny bby Get them separately for 500 silver each, or buy he pack for $19.99! Sure we know that $19 is the cost of an entire DLC complete with a full raid and gear and weapons and patrols and missions and stuff. But that's how much we value our content.
we just want your money
Stop by today!

Because they've never been to school, and most have only been alive and kicking for like 2-4 weeks total.

Obviously believes in the Silent Bob approach.....don't talk unless it's necessary as just constantly talking can make you seem like an idiot
-
Probably because the ghost is mouthy enough for both of you. Especially ever since they ditched dinklebot.

1 AntwortenHe speaks I think twice in cinematics

A better question might be, "After two years of silence, why would you expect otherwise?"
-
Because Bungie doesn't really know what type of approach they want to use to tell Destiny's story. Most games, more specifically RPG's fall into 2 groups; 1st person story telling where the protagonist is silent because the developer wants the player to role play as the protagonist. In these games the protagonist is always silent and has little or no personality, the working theory is that the protagonist should be a blank slate. 3rd person storytelling is where the player is being told a story but it isn't meant to be 'our story'. The protagonist always has a strongly defined personality and they always have spoken/written dialogue. The issue with Destiny is Bungie wants Destiny to be the former, but all the negative feedback regarding Destiny's weak story telling is forcing Bungie to dabble with the latter. The cold hard reality is that the Destiny Universe ( with its unique blend of Sci-Fi and Fantasy ) has a lot potential for a lot of interesting stories to be told and the IP will never live up to its full potential until it fully embraces the latter.

1 AntwortenI'm sure they would would say something like... "Giving your guardians a voice would be forcing a personality onto your guardian and we don't want that. Your guardian should be whoever you want him/her to be."
-
1 AntwortenIm also annoyed that you're just called "the guardian" as if you're the only one. When saladin makes you "iron lord...guardian" I cringed. I admit i don't know how to resolve it without giving your character an actual name, but its so generic its annoying.
-
People already talk too much. Last thing I wanna hear is our characters rambling on.
-
2 AntwortenSeriously when the ghost was talking about year 1 etc in the khostov questline im like seriously my guardian is just gonna stay quiet
-
I dunno. I don't care. I kinda prefer games where the Protag doesn't talk because usually they say some shit I wouldn't say. I actually do wish the character had more generic gameplay chatter though. Not in the cutscenes, but during the battle. Like I wouldn't mind choosing a voice, and then while fighting hearing "me" shooting something like, "Arc Blades are hot!" or "Captain sighted!" Sorta like callouts. I think the characters in Borderlands did that. The majors called "Badasses" would enter the field and the character would say "Incoming Badass!" But as for story voice, 1). That would require more cutscene story, and 2). I don't really want to hear my character say things other than generic responses anyway. Too much personal input from the character and he stops being "you".

They had one line in the second mission. What can I do to help, or something.

"Wow we are trending" stop that is pretty annoying, and litterally everyone says that same stupid edit. There is no we just you
