Truth be told I'm not against SBMM system but ...
Do you try to force players into a 50% win/loss ratio?
Nope. As we’ve stated, your personal performance is a factor in the Guardians you end up confronting in battle, but we do nothing to artificially influence win streaks or alter individual player statistics
Ummmm 😒
Yea, I'm a bit skeptical
RNGesus blesses you with a competent team that doesn't try to cap three points...
BREAK IT UP
RnGesus curses you with suicidal shotgun warriors that took an oath to not touch a primary...
BREAK IT UP
I seriously can't think of any reason that mechanic exists OTHER than to try to artificially manipulate your win/loss
It doesn't speed up matchmaking
It's not finding a better connection
It is ONLY trying to make the matches closer
And even then it screws that up
I've had it kick me from a team, put me in a match that's in the process of getting mercy ruled, lose, break that team up, place me in another match that's almost over, lose, break that up...
How is that helpful to anyone?
I'm calling BS on Bungie's newest explanation.
Breaking up teams is definitely placing SBMM over all other factors.
Like I said, I'm not against SBMM in general.
Just don't fart in the room and blame it on the dog. I can feel the vibration through the couch for Christ sake.

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von Dano2point0: 11/21/2016 8:36:22 PMThis is how I've understood the matchmaking fine tuning: 1) I get matched up against a boss team based on connection as a priority 2) They proceed to kick my ass all over Crucible 3) Matchmaking recognizes the skill gap and adjusts for the next match 4) I'm left super salty with no chance at redemption which given the previous match results wasn't going to happen anyways. Honestly, this is a good thing. Imagine facing the same team several matches in a row because the connection was great.

35 AntwortenSuch a dumb post... Have you ever been on a team that just gets absolutely stomped??? They break up the teams for the LOSERS and not the winners... The winners are essentially collateral damage of the mechanic that makes it so that if you get stomped you will not continue to get stomped or mercied for the next five games... If you want to run as a squad then use this brand new mechanic called
A mother-blam!-ing fireteam!!!!
Otherwise shut the -blam!- up about this issue when you only are seeing the winners POV and not the losers POV... Even though we have all been there getting mercied before.. Use your brain not your gaming epeen......

when you join a match halfway and end up number one on your team...

Agreed. Another thing that seems to happen to me alot is matches where im in a team of 4 v 6. Whats that all about?

Tried solo queuing, got 4 in progress matches, already with heavy, died to rockets, super, machine gun, rockets and another super. One spawn put me directly in front of a stormcaller to die. Thanks Bungie! Looks like I had a great chance to win that engagement. Played 3 more games, put on losing teams in a similar situation. I think I'm moving on to other games for a while. Also, clever dragon with high cal has absolutely ruined this meta. I'd rather walk over hot coals for 30 minutes than endure these teams of 6 teamshotting with that godforsaken thing. What happened to this game?

9 AntwortenBearbeitet von Black Howling: 11/19/2016 1:13:06 PMIf you do too well as a solo player the game will punish you. I can confirm this after all my time soloing in the Crucible. You'll normally be throw into an unwinnable match that's not far from being over, and/or be put on a team of legally registered zombies against SIRBA (Sweaty International Red Bar Association). You'll likely be thrown into a string of matches like this until things 'even out'.

2 AntwortenCrucible is just no fun anymore for me. This micro-managing of it has just made connections feel/actually worse, and Bungie's idea of fun is winning a game, then losing, then having a close game that you lose, then maybe a winning game, and then another horrible loss, and so on. Just give me a random match for -blam!-'s sake. As long as there's good connection and no lag, I don't fuggin care if I get pubstomped here and there. I'm good enough (or was) to hold my own and don't need this matchmaking babysitting. Make it like CoD, or Halo, or i dont give a -blam!-. Random would be nice imo.

If you see that after a win, run like hell because the next game is going to be a shit fest. Better match my ass.

1 AntwortenSo I keep hearing about these incompetent players who never play the objective and/or only use a shotgun no matter what. But where are they? Because according to EVERYONE on the forums, they all use their primary all the time and constantly go for the objective. Did it ever occur to you whiners that maybe YOU are the incompetent one and the reason why your team loses?
inb4 "I finish on the top of my team every game" comments
Bearbeitet von SolarCerberuS: 11/21/2016 4:05:06 AMBeing placed into a match in progress is caused by shit c*nt match bailers the more it goes on unpunished the worse it will be. Some of it is Bungies fault take IB 5 medallion garbage for example auto cash in that shit even at a decreased rep amount and there will be less bailing going on. The amount of bailing that goes on in IB is horrible and -blam!-s up the connection and experience of other players and its then blamed on SBMM by people who have no idea.

Amen. Bungie are liars.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von DoomAmplified: 11/20/2016 11:47:31 PMIt breaks you up because you won well and matches you against cheats and redbars instead. It doesn't work if you back out of matchmaking every time it tries to shaft you with that.

2 AntwortenDude I want to say this but have a friend who just started deatiny an go into pvp make sure he's your team leader it will match you up with people who suck but are relatively good. How do I kno this I was helping a friend before banner was over he was leader me an him kept getting put into a match an I would literally dominate everyone why because I'm not good I'm decent my friend sucks ass an I steam rolled everyone. Now I kno what anyone who reads this is thinking you scrub punkass f.ucking cheating prick useing your friends shitty skill to do that. Well in truth I didn't use him I was playing fallout 4 he invited me to chat an he kept complaining about it an I said f.uck it might as well I jumped in with him an made him realize how much he sucks along putting down anyone who came across me worst part was I was useing a striker titan when I main a hunter. So I'll let you decide what to do cause going against people who play this game none stop an kill everyone without falling will never make you good an going against people who suck more then you do never make you good but they make you feel better but going against people on you lvl makes you better an bungie can't match shit. Bungies Matchmakeing is like matching a bear against a dragon the dragon will win every time.

Do people even believe what Bungie even says nowadays? Lol

1 AntwortenI think it should separate the teams from each other, but not send everyone back to a new solo queue. Chances are that you'll end up with other solo players and then end up against a team of 6 and get stomped. Keep the winning team together and put them up against another winning team. Then take the losing team and put then up against another losing team. The winning team might be a group of solo players, but if they did well together, they will have a better chance if they come across a full team of 6. The full team of 6 usually has better odds of winning in my experience, so the losing group of solo players will go up against other losing solo players more often than they would go against a full team of 6. Playing with the same team over and over again promotes better coordination, is usually more fun as you get used to your teammates, and also promotes actually sending friend requests to other players. Its much rarer to see people sending a friend request to their teammates after only one game, bit after a few in a row, it would be more likely that someone in the team starts a party and a fireteam. So stop break in up teams into a new solo queue, and keep the teams together. Just send one team one way, and the other team another way.
-
I love, oh a fire team of 6 just mercy ruled you. No worries. We're breaking that match up..... To give you the exact same lobby again for the next bleeping 4-5 matches. I even backed out waited 5 minutes and was put back into the same game but this time it was already in progress :(

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von WulfPak666: 11/20/2016 12:44:08 AMThia whole 50/50 win loss system does not exist for me. Literally lost about 8-10 games in a row on IB even after the "broke up teams" twice. Only reason I finally pulled a win was because we finally got a team with all good connections and they actually played the objective. If SBMM really is in this game, why does everyone on my team have to be like the absolute worst people, while the other team is stacked with players who literally get to mercy the living piss out of me? Skill means equal players on both teams... 🤔

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Willakkuma: 11/20/2016 8:00:51 PMLong story short - of course breaking up the teams following a rout plays into sbmm. What else would it be? It's not rocket science. We're all placed into lobbies where folks are like-skilled. We're all seen matches where stats were similar top to bottom on your team. From my perspective and anyone else playing almost 100% random match made, I can see differences that fire team regulars most likely cannot. But what about the matches where you're expected to bear most of the weight/carry your team? I've never bothered to look up my team mate's stats.......but there are LOTS of times where I'm the only one on the crew with a positive k/d, sometimes by quite a bit as well as other productivity (like objectives in Control). A lot of times in those type matches I'll see the other side had one dominant player with the other 5 falling way off as well. Don't get me wrong, the match making system is what it is and it works fine. I'm just curious whether or not a more skilled player is sometimes a "guest" in a lower bracket players and vice versa (accounting for those drubbings you take now and then).

1 AntwortenI went to the doctor and he gave me 2 months to live. So I shot him. Judge gave me 30 years.

Bungo have some wierd matchmaking algorithms. You'll get maybe 1 top player on each side that has to carry the team then rest are blueberries. aka sometimes im the one that has to carry or i turn into a blueberry lol
-
It stops being fun when you're finding yourself sweating in control against people with 2.0 K/Ds

It normally happens to group(my experience) when we do well.
