DISCLAIMER: THIS IS MY OPINION: Read the whole post and THEN tell me what you think :)
Just read the weekly update and my god it is embarrassing. I feel like i am being patronised by the people that sort out matchmaking and the crucible. When we say "I want to chill with my friends" you replied with "Well play private matches"!!!! What?!?! Well what if I want to chill by myself and I don't have friends online? "Well that's your fault for not having many friends?" Are you going to tell me that next? The whole problem is this element of skill based matchmaking. Having to put us in a pool of players that have equal skill makes the game very sweaty. Not to mention that not having PURE connection based matchmaking ruins any sort of consistency of certain weapons such as Hand Cannons, Auto rifles, and Shotguns in regards to hit detection. When we say we want to go into control with our friends, it means we don't want to have to try like it is a million dollar tournament to even have a chance. FIX THIS
Ok so reading through some of these comments has made me realise that I wasn't clear enough. So my solution is That here should be 2 different playlists.
1. A ranked playlist where if we want to compete in a focused environment so we can hone our skills for the better. This playlist offers rewards for doing well and offers the best chances for good rolls on weapons.
2. A casual playlist where if we want to chill and not have to try every game. This would have the current reward system that we have in place now.
I do understand that people want to improve and I am right behind you on that. But if we want to compete in a focused environment the we should be able to and not sweat like it is a $1000000 tournament. Hopefully this made my statement more clear. I love this game and I want it to be better and I have loads of respect for Bungie but they need to get this game right, so D2/3/4 and beyond can succeed.
PS: Anyone that who wants to see if im a noob. Get 2 or 3 friends and message vsoiitude on xbox and I WILL TRY and get 2 or 3 of my friends and we'll play a series. This is not to boost my ego. This is to prove i have some sort of weight backing my answer and people saying im a noob

5 AntwortenYou know what happens with a casual playlist? Try-hards, who want to fluff their KD stats, come in a stomp the crowd. Much like the people who play control or rift to get kills instead of play objective. Tell me how you would keep that from happening in your "casual" play list?

3 AntwortenThe biggest problem is that ranked playlists gradually become populated by crickets. So.... most players eventually wind up in the more/most popular SBMM casual playlist.

And for the inconsistency of hand cannons, shotguns and auto rifles, I personally don't agree with this, I mean I hear about phantom bullets a lot but I don't personally see it as often as people make it. Shotguns are very effective and I've seen barely any not kill me at the appropriate range. I love autos so my opinion is biased on those. Even though I don't really care for the separate playlists for ranked/casual am not against it, as my gameplay or enjoyment will not be effected

There aren't enough people for 2 playlists and it would not work out as you expect Cbmm would be elitists trying to stomp so everyone else would stay away Sbmm would be below average players Average players could choose between being stomped or sbmm People have asked for cbmm so they can lay with friends of different skill level. The lower skilled people will still get stomped because no one of low skill will play on a cbmm playlist unless they like watching their own respawn animation every few seconds

3 AntwortenWhile I agree with you on your point about private matches SBMM IS NOT THE PROBLEM. In my opinion, the real problem isn't sbmm, it's the lag in the crucible. Once bungie fixes that they should create a power matters, ranked Playlist with a ranking system similar to Overwatch's SR system.

Just a bunch of hypocrites. Also no one realizes people who do benefit from SBMM, if it was gotten rid of, would have to contend with [b][u]THE exact same thing you don't want to contend with.[/u][/b] so hypocritical and selfish. It's different if you make connection [b][u]your main focus.[/u][/b] But a majority of people whining about SBMM have connections has an afterthought at best.

Still can't take this community seriously. Pvp is for competition. If you wanna chill and play then chill and play nobody is forcing you to go sweaty because only [b]you[/b] care about your kd. And honestly they aren't wrong, if you wanna chill and play, play with your friends in private if not then nut up and play regular pvp. And before someone comes out and says well you have a low k.d you aren't affected by sbmm/ your opinion is invalid. Let me tell you something you can check if you take a minute of your time. The past few games I've had, the opposing team had higher k.ds than 1 not only today either it happens everyday and everytime I play. To some degree you do get grouped with people around your level but most of the time I play against people wayyyyy better than me. This myth that low kds only get paired with low kds is -blam!-ing retarded.

I'm not great at PVP, painfully average at best, sometimes I do well, other times not so much. I like the close games, and honestly i don't even really mind when I get placed with a bunch of randoms playing Clash when the game mode is supremacy. I would just like there to be less lag for everyone.

PvP needs to have a level of skill based match making i cant understand how the top players feel like they need to stroke there ego with a good pub stomp on a regular basis. Why are you playing pvp if your not looking for a good game with some level of challenge. I agree connections can still be an issue and could use some work but removing skill base MM hurts the other 90% of players thats not worth your ego boast

Do what ever you think is fun, just don't worry about winning. You get the same rewards either way so why worry about it? If you can't accept the extra deaths and not winning, relax in a different game, read a book, watch a movie or get out of the house. You have the option to relax, it just might not be in Destiny.

I would love to see a ranked playlist, that's accessible at all times. Bungie has done this in the past with halo and it worked out great. Let's you know where you stand in game against other players and your friends, gives you something to work towards or to keep if you're top tier, and it gives you an alternative to the daily grind. Make it happen bungie.

Whats the real issue here? I see a lot of these post but is the problem lag or that the crucible is a sweat fest and you can't crush noobs?

The simplest solution to this is to "git gud", which you're clearly not interested in. Now I'm sure that it sucks to suck, but it's not bungies job to pit you against players who suck even more, it's your job to STOP SUCKING. [ Issue 2 ] If you wanna chill by yourself then GO CHILL BY YOURSELF. Why should I be punished for having friends because you cry about my squad ripping you up? You got friends, if you choose to not play with them, then that's YOUR problem, no one else's. Bottom line, git gud and git friends.

Sorry but the way it is now is the way it will stay. Even if they added two playlists, what's stopping every so called "skilled" player who are mostly the ones complaining about sbmm to simply flood the playlist they think will be "laid back". Yeah, it was nice year one when my fireteam could win about 30 games in a row before we either lost or got tired of it, but that was then, when nobody had a real feel for the game. When every weapon except auto rifles were viable. When snipers could shoot through thin walls and windows with armor piercing. Now everyone is complaining that there matches are "sweaty" and they can't enjoy the game. So your enjoyment of the game comes from ruining someone else's enjoyment of it?? By "pub stomping" the other team who couldn't hope to compete because the game didn't bother to see if they'd be evenly matched? Then two of their teammates leave in a skirmish and you'd still be trying your damn hardest to beat the one guy into the dirt? That's pathetic, it's unsportsmanlike, and honestly with all these complaints I'm sometimes embarrassed to call myself apart of this community. "Try hard" is a lazy ass term for a lot of assholes to use when they find someone else is playing nearly as hard as they are, but how dare they. How dare they challenge you, the crucible god. That's an overtly elitist attitude to have, and it ruins the experience for a lot of people.

1 AntwortenI doubt anyone is actually relaxed playing games ever. Seriously go measure your heart rate before you start playing then measure during and after. Don't tell me you're relaxed when you see your heart rate is increased either. The problem here is the player, if you don't want to try then don't. You aren't going to win by not trying to do so on some level. Which shouldn't be necessary for me to say but you all seem to miraculously forget and ignore it. Fools, the lot of you, lol.

I honestly don't mind getting sweaties. I hate their guts, but for me its a compliment, cause I'm not one and yet I'm constantly and consistently going against and having close matches with them. if I'm as good as people who rely on their shotguns and snipers and I only really rely on my auto, it's nice. doesn't mean I don't scream at my t.v. and get pissed off when someone is a try hard using only special for one shot kills and a high k.d. but I like the fact I'm somehow matched against try hards when I don't try hard
