Your TWAB this week has some outright lies in it.
And its obvious to the community it does. Lets go down, section by section.
“First we identify a pool of available players with good connection to you”
-Oh really? Is that why there are multiple red bar warriors in every game
“if THAT doesn’t work, we expand the search again with more variance in connection quality”
-While I absolutely believe it, I don’t believe it’s the third criteria. It’s the second. I live in the northeast united states. At peak times, I should have no problem finding a 3v3 game or 6v6 game on great connection to people in the eastern united states. My netduma routinely tells me half of the players in my game well outside of 2500 miles from me with average pings over 200.
“Why are you teaming me up with weaker teammates?”
-You missed the entire second half, and the point, of this question: why are you giving me weaker teammates and super strong opponents, ensuring a loss? It isn’t a happenstance occurrence, its often.
“Do you try to force players into a 50% win/loss ratio? Nope.”
-Outright lie. First of all, several of your developers have gone on record saying the goal is to have us at a 50% W/L ration. Secondly, we need only look at our stats. I sit almost exclusively at a 50% ratio, and I suspect majority of players who solo queue often do as well. Obviously if you play exclusively on a team and you are a strong team, the game matchmaker can only go so far. But this response is an outright lie.
"Why can’t I just relax and enjoy some matches with my friends?”
Way to add on “with my friends” so you could justify an answer. Sure, Private matches awesome when I’ve actually got 5 friends or more online. It really supplied a niche group of players with content. Bravo. But your response is again not in spirit with the actual issue and soars leaps and bounds above the overwhelming masses. We want to be able to QUEUE up and relax for a couple games after work or school and not have to put a huge amount of work into doing so.
Its time to listen to your player base bungie. Stop lying to us. Start listening. Many players have moved on to other games and I guarantee you, if this stuff isn’t fixed soon, and certainly if it persists to D2, you may find yourself with a player base smaller than no mans sky.

Here is a thought for the crucible dictators over at bungo...if you enjoy sbmm so much, why not only implement it for your employees and developers? Or better yet, allow users to switch between matchmaking preferences like halo...remember halo? That way, you can sweat 24 hours a day against the same group of people and never improve. Meanwhile, the rest of the player base can enjoy good connections and avoid playing against opponents from the latest dragon ball z episode. I'll even help you get started with database code. Here you go, try this: select * from insertplayerdatabasename where insertbungoemployeeidentifier = 'Bungo' into #poorsbmmconnectiongroup.

You have to remember the connection matchmaking goes out the window if you're not playing solo. Unless everyone in your fireteam lives in your city. I play with friends in California while I live in Ohio, if it goes by his connection I have a bad time, while it's reverse if it goes by my location.

Their credibility is so far down the drain not even a 30ft rope or a Thai hooker can get that thing up anymore.

9 AntwortenNice. SBMM is cancer. I just deleted my old Titan and created a new one and I'm still getting paired with pros. It's clear that Bungie doesn't just go off of one characters kd. They match players off based on medal count and many other factors I'm sure. You can never catch a break if you queue up solo only

If connection based match making is priority then Xur won't sell any items that are useless.
this week knucklehead radar which an artifact does the same thing O-o
5 AntwortenYour last statement you say you want to be able to queue up after work or school and relax with a few games. My question is whats stopping you from doing that? Why cant you just play and not worry about winning or losing?
-
I agree the main lie though is connection
-
4 AntwortenI'm not sure if they are actually lying, I think that the pool of people to put a game together is just way too small... That's why they have to expand the search and that's why a lot of times games feel terribly off... I think no one wants to hear and admit it, but it's just the simple truth!
-
Don't expect a game industry to cater to everything you say, your opinions don't if you don't have $$$
-
Bump, so tired of the lies, when players experiences are different.
if this stuff isn’t fixed soon, and certainly if it persists to D2, you may find yourself with a player base smaller than no mans sky.
OOOO! SICK BURN BRO! SICK! I agree with everything in your OP. Just liked the last bit about NMS lol

Bungie is a pos these days.

11 AntwortenI guess bungie doesn't think we play other games Ffs! Overwatch does it just find I rarely see any lag. Cod does a way better job. All we hear from bungie is excuses and never a solution. It's frustrating as fck!

1 AntwortenJesus Christ I've had enough of this shit

6 AntwortenThe issue is that no one is playing anymore (except for "special" events like IB) - somethign Bungie doesn't want to admit. As an example. I was filling Lord Shax Bounties with my Warlock in "Inferno Supremacy" today on XB1 playing between 11:30 amd 2 pm MST. First 2 games, 1/2 the opposing team was red barred. The other 2 enemy players were continually going Red - Green bar. My team was solid green bars (I checked at start of game, in game and after game). My connection is 27 mbps down, 7 mbps up and 25 ms ping time to MS Servers. After losing second game (can't kill red bar players emptying Primary, then grenade Grenade and then melee each time), I leave matchmaking, wait a few minutes, then get another match selected. My next match has 3 red bar players from the last 2 games! I continued for another 8 games and continually was matched by those 3+ red barred players and others in each game. They were sometimes on my team or against me, but I was continually matched with them. The bottom line is there are so few people now playing Destiny that Bungie has no choice but to match you with anyone it can find online. The only time your going to get green bar games is at peak play times (i.e. when kid get off school or people get off work etc.) or when special events (i.e. Iron Banner) are on. This situation will only get worse as the Destiny population drops (no new content until late 2017) and people move to games with Regional Dedicated Host Servers instead of Bungie's tired old Halo Reach 2009 "Console Hosted Peer 2 Peer" net code.

See, I don't get the same issues For the most part my PvP experience is good, every now and then i will see a red bar warrior , but it's maybe 1 in every 5 games and it's not like they are running the scoreboard or its a whole team I live in Newfoundland,Canada and run a dedicated IP from STOCK provided modem using proper port forwarding and a hardwired connection, my speeds are 100/30(FibreOp) with the PS4 showing around 60/20+ Most games I play are close in score, once in awhile there will be a mercy but maybe 1/20 games or so I have kids online with iPads and PC plus wife watching Netflix on Tablet and still don't see any issues (had friends watch me for Red Bars and it happens but not often) I asked a few RL and ingame friends how they find PvP and they are the same as I am...it happens but not that often Nah, I'm good with the way it is and I think most of the issues are player side(not all, but most.. Bungie really needs dedicated servers and I would love them for Destiny 2) Get off the wireless.... don't lie, we know you are and yes it's convenient for your physical connection issues but it's not convenient for gaming... hardwire that shit If you wanna play online atleast have the best internet connection you can and make sure you have your network optimized (hell, I even Throttle connection to kids iPad and PCs to make sure each device has what it needs) Now...some players do see the exact opposite of what I say...that's cool, I can't call them out, I'm not there but how many are spewing BS and how many are actually telling the truth And some players out there are doing it deliberately to gain an advantage or just be plain asshats Remember Guardians, the forums only represent a small number of the ingame population (I don't have numbers but it's been proven to many times on too many games), the people who are complaining are the one with issues..they need to be heard so Bungie can fix in-house issues, good posts get seen and read while I'm sure Flame Posts get seen and forgotten Oh and your ISP don't really give two shits about your gaming issues, I did the Help desk thing, and went from "Thank You for calling..." to the guy that decided what was done...yeah guess what you complaint got you? $10-20 off your monthly bill and a Tec visit to replace your modem and "check" your lines.

Was looking at the employment opportunities at bungie, there is a lot ATM, maybe there is a staff shortage
