we have been saying this same thing for almost a year now and have gotten a few snarky comments from various higher ups at bungie. This is of course after they lied to us for a few months to "get better data" and promised a culture change after they got rid of their CEO.
https://youtu.be/_XQItaZN5Xc
what im about to say in video form if you dont want to read it
What we got was the same thing we had before with a few more scraps right after the CEO change to make us feel good while the majority of our information has come from Kotaku leaks, all of which have been right so far, and hardly anything from bungie except right when their marketing team gets the ball rolling to make some money.
The SBMM has been an issue for a while and there are players on both sides that want it and dont want it for the wrong reasons. Why I dont want it, and why a lot of the more intelligent (intelligent meaning those that want it removed for the right reasons) members dont want it, is that SBMM isnt a bad thing but the game just cant handle its implementation. It is a bad thing when it is implemented poorly into a system that cant really support it which Destiny and it's bad netcode cannot. There really is no way to spin the fact that destiny doesnt have good connections and has never had good connections. It is just getting amplified for a lot of us and it is going to get worse and worse as the population falls off over this year.
I think at this point every one realizes that we are going to get absolutely nothing this next year just like we got absolutely nothing last year and they are fed up with it. They need to have some sort of culture change at Bungie and realize they have to be more open about things like a lot of other developers are.
We arent being toddlers we are just sick of being ignored and feeling like our concerns have fallen on deaf ears.
Edit: Not trying to say SBMM is a bad thing. It cant be good for the game, it is just implemented poorly right now and it is amplifying connection issues for a lot of players. It needs scaled back a bit so that we can get better connections and the issues are only going to get worse for even those around 1.0k/d as the player base drops
Edit 2: based Deej does this satisfy you
Edit 3: TwaB contradicts everything else they have said over this past year. GG

Bearbeitet von Reubenatrix: 11/16/2016 4:33:06 AMI just wish I could find another game with equally crispy decent weapons (especially hand cannons) and a world I want to experience, explore and build on. Playing to rank up and then delete the weapons and arm bands is getting pretty old. Probably just need another 6 month break. I took a 6 month break as soon as TTK came out because losing my favorite weapons was too big a teeth kick. But when I started playing at April update there was tons to do, till now. That's fine. Time for a break I suppose. I hope it doesn't have to be a 12-18 month break! Seems these kind of posts pop up a month or so after every major update when the content can no longer support 4 hours+ gaming per day and weekends in the dark!

Agreed, illuminati needs to be nerfed

Confirmed

2 AntwortenI stopped playing a lot because I feel like the game has become a chore. Like I see all of these cool ornaments but damn lfg is a pain, good luck finding a group to do hard mode challenge in a quickly manner. You would need even more luck(and skill) to get the flawless ornaments. For something so so heavily advertised I don't see them dropping. And don't get me started on the festival of the cost.

Bearbeitet von PR4X1S: 11/16/2016 3:23:02 AMJust sick of weapon Nerfs I can see it on the horizon for the clever dragon. They better split these Nerfs in destiny 2, I'm tired of good weapons being made useless for pve because of its power in pvp, the games totally lost its luster.

Nothing wrong with taking a break. I took a 7 month break starting at the end of last November and will probably take one again soon.

I think most people will have hit the wall after completing the normal wom raid I sure did I just don't have any urge to do the hard raid. There's too many games out right now and there's no reason to play destiny right now especially with battlefield 1 out, so for me I will play destiny on the odd occasion.

4 AntwortenHitting 2 buttons is all the skill Destiny takes.

Oh please, there has been many other "breaking points" in this forum, destiny subreddit, and community in general. Eventually everyone stops talking about it, and moves on from it.

Jesus stop whining theres already 30 billion of these posts, yours wasn't necessary.

I did I got one more 4th horseman or invective or chest of Alpha Lupi. Couldn't take the drops had to drop out!!!! The drop system seams better now though got max light quick wasn't doing kings fall 3 times a week for 3 months to get a 320 ghost!!! Ya know.. not much for crucible... Destiny needs more more more more pve end game seriously

I've gotten all my Guardians to 400 & finished my book. I really didn't try to reach 400 right away because of what I've read about the " content draught" I still run raids but I don't Sherpa or offer more than my 3 tries every week.

Get over it, Its a old game. Rise of Iron was cool and all but hyped died after October. You know you can play other games right?
-
Haven't noticed it.

I hit my breaking point 3 months after TTK, I've just been waiting for everyone else to catch up.
-
6 AntwortenI have hit my breaking point. HM Aksis phase 2 is impossible.

They need to start hyping destiny 2 and give us more reasons to play destiny in build up to the sequel. My biggest fear of that Is the longer they wait to release information about destiny 2 the more we the fans will fear that they are going to release a incomplete games. In all honesty if they released they had desiccated servers with decent tick rate (like every shooter on the market) I would be sold on destiny 2 and that is the main reason why destiny 1 has these connection issues. And to those think they can add dedicated servers to destiny this late in the development are sadly mistaken.

3 AntwortenI have not. People's expectations are a bit high for a game hitting it's 3rd year and ramping up for Destiny 2.
-
4 AntwortenAs the year goes by, the population falls down sharply due to content drought. Destiny the Taken King provided the most amount of content compared to the 3 other dlc's. The major problem with Rise of Iron is not the matchmaking, but the amount they gave to us compared to the Taken King. I love the PvE content but the problem is that there are still many holes in terms of post game. I kind of wish that things were more like Dark Souls where you never get bored of the PvE because of "New Game-higher difficulty" mechanic. I think Destiny's PvE should revolve around that concept where things only gets tougher and tougher the more you complete it and things should reset on Tuesdays. It gives raiders a new feel of difficulty. I don't think sbmm isn't a problem. The problem is that we have to fed up with the matchmaking due to lack of content.

4 AntwortenI've accepted the game for what it is. I'm sure their main focus is destiny 2 at the moment.

1 AntwortenBreaking point was December 2015 when they introduced SBMM on steroids....

8 AntwortenCrucible is my tea and biscuit, but for me at least, it's not held up very well in its current state. I feel as though Bungie just slapped the RoI weapons on without testing them, seeing how Clever Dragon became a problem the minute Iron Banner came out. Oh, and don't get me started on why in the hell someone at Bungie thought "Hey, let's bring back Matador with only 4 potential rolls on each perk! That's not broken!". Party Crasher, Eyasluna, etc were all balanced since the rolls varied. Now if you get a Matador, you have the choice between 3 God rolls, 3 decent rolls and 2 trash rolls. 6 against 2. Fair. Party Crasher has over 100 different rolls. As stale as it is, private matches are where I'm having fun. No faggy red bars, no juggernaut suiciders, just a bunch of mates and a whole lot of laughs. Bungie needs to fix Crucible, make exotics feel exotic (making them rarer of adding more or something) and give us something to DO. Or just make private matches able to give rewards if there is 2 or more players. That would be fun. TL;DR Crucible is getting really tasteless. Private matches are fun. Bungie needs to address the elephants in the room and respond to the community (like they have before). We are in the dark a bit right now.

3 AntwortenI did the weekly for the radiant treasure and then logged off. I'm spent, for now.
