we have been saying this same thing for almost a year now and have gotten a few snarky comments from various higher ups at bungie. This is of course after they lied to us for a few months to "get better data" and promised a culture change after they got rid of their CEO.

what im about to say in video form if you dont want to read it
What we got was the same thing we had before with a few more scraps right after the CEO change to make us feel good while the majority of our information has come from Kotaku leaks, all of which have been right so far, and hardly anything from bungie except right when their marketing team gets the ball rolling to make some money.
The SBMM has been an issue for a while and there are players on both sides that want it and dont want it for the wrong reasons. Why I dont want it, and why a lot of the more intelligent (intelligent meaning those that want it removed for the right reasons) members dont want it, is that SBMM isnt a bad thing but the game just cant handle its implementation. It is a bad thing when it is implemented poorly into a system that cant really support it which Destiny and it's bad netcode cannot. There really is no way to spin the fact that destiny doesnt have good connections and has never had good connections. It is just getting amplified for a lot of us and it is going to get worse and worse as the population falls off over this year.
I think at this point every one realizes that we are going to get absolutely nothing this next year just like we got absolutely nothing last year and they are fed up with it. They need to have some sort of culture change at Bungie and realize they have to be more open about things like a lot of other developers are.
We arent being toddlers we are just sick of being ignored and feeling like our concerns have fallen on deaf ears.
Edit: Not trying to say SBMM is a bad thing. It cant be good for the game, it is just implemented poorly right now and it is amplifying connection issues for a lot of players. It needs scaled back a bit so that we can get better connections and the issues are only going to get worse for even those around 1.0k/d as the player base drops
Edit 2: based Deej does this satisfy you
Edit 3: TwaB contradicts everything else they have said over this past year. GG

Bungie on descent forever , must release Destiny 2 faster for climb

Throw on the fact that their July update broke the ability to play on the same network for many of us, and I'm playing something else. I had even bought a separate game, tv, Xbox live membership, etc for my daughter. And I can't even play with her at least 3/4 of the time. And Bungie knows about it and still has yet to fix it. It's been four months. Seriously if my customer service was this bad, I'd have no clients left.

2 AntwortenI feel it may be due to this game becoming more like a job. • If you don't keep up with it, you're behind and you get scolded by other workers (the players) • If there's a negative change, coworkers (the players) try to bring it to the unruly bosses' attention. • If the job becomes to hard and the payout just isn't enough for time invested, most get angry and quit to find a better use for their time. Of course we have our dedicated workforce that never sleeps and we always replace the quitters with three more iron pups. I've grown tired, but I won't give up on this entirely. Just need to catch my breath and watch how it plays out from the shadows. 😅

2 AntwortenI was talking about taking a long break from destiny last night with friends and we all seem to be at the same point. There is very little to do in pve, the raid is easy and holds little challenge and the rewards are below average, there's nothing making us want to run it, like the fatebringer or vision used too. Most people by now have hit 400light and there is very little to after that and with nothing planned (that we know of) for the next few months other than SRL, the situation isn't going to get any better. The only thing that has been keeping me playing lately is Pvp, however even this is getting stale. Everyone is getting fed up of games where half the team is red bar and un-killable, it takes any fun out of the game constantly being shot by people who I cannot shoot back. Bungie haven't even given any serious response on the issue. The weapons are currently hugely unbalanced, with primaries taking so many nerfs the time to kill is hugely different to that of secondaries. It's so frustrating to empty half a clip into someone just for them to run through the bullets and kill you with a shotgun. Bungie seriously need to come out soon with a list of changes to the game, otherwise I think a lot of the player base will get fed up and leave. It feels like they have given up on this game and are just focusing on destiny 2, leaving the interns to run the current game

2 AntwortenOnly problem is if SBMM is in the game it seemingly isn't working. From my most recent IB experience it seemed there were very few close games, with many simply being a kerb stomp by one of the teams. I also found little to no consistency in my own gameplay, you'll see from my averages I'm not a great PVP player but a few games I was between 1.5-2kd and in others closer to 0.5. I know everyone has good games and bad games but I normally feel a level of consistency in other PVP games but not in the crucible as it stands.

1 AntwortenStill trying to find out what the heck "SBMM" is....
-
You do know it's perfectly acceptable to play other games right? When bungie reads this and see a player that's put in about 2000 hours of game play they don't see someone upset with the game, they see someone who absolutely loves it. Bungie is probably like "well that person has devoted literally 80 days of playing time to our game, what more could someone want out of a video game?"
-
Not gonna lie, this a great game, and I've put more hours in this game than any other, but I'm all done for a while on it now, haven't played it in a week and started actually going out and doing things again, I will back for srl as there is nothing left for me to do now See u all soon
-
I'm pumped up for Destiny, love raiding WOTM, challange modes yadayada
-
My whole clan just logged in to the Division again last night. We realize that we are all LL400x3, we have every Exotic, and we have all beaten the new raid. So see you at Sparrow Racing League/Iron Banner.
-
2 AntwortenEvents are far too sporadic and rare, SRL should have been kept as a permanent option. Expansion stories were far too short and RNGesus is so retarded.
-
All the gaming developer's seem to be making nothing but garbage now.
-
Agree. I've been playing since September 2014, the only game. Played others but just briefly for a few days. Destiny has become a repetitive "grind" that goes nowhere. I put Destiny away last week, haven't played since. What's the point.
-
Thinking of going back to Diablo 3 for a while
-
I agree with everything your saying been on since beta and had couple of pages of friends on all the time now it's hard to get us together for a raid I had to retire from trials and pvp I played one game today and turned of my Xbox sad to see where this game is going

5 AntwortenDoes anyone even remember the giant white orb? Or the random woman who was following you and gave you a gun at the end of vanilla destiny? The wormy darkness that was encroaching? Seriously what the -blam!- happened to the story? It's been 2+ years and NOTHING has happened in the story. Iron Banner was basically making story out of the monthly playlist and it was ok at best. I'm taking a break from Destiny because there's no meaningful story and it's boring as hell playing the same 8 strikes hoping for a better version of a gun I already have.

5 AntwortenWeek 3 player, 2500 hours in, grimoire almost 5400, moments of triumph done both years, bought the shirt, love the Popsicles. I still play a bunch and am no where near breaking point. Completely disagree. They've fixed most everything except lag, which can't be fixed without servers, which we will see in Destiny 2. I think it's fine and still fun. If lag were so crippling, how was i, a terrible pvp player, able to bring my kd from .3 to almost .8 so far?
-
I'm playing ark at the moment. Isn't without its problems but the game developers are constantly listening to their players and implementing changes. Bungie could learn a lesson or two from other game studios. Dedicated servers like everyone has been asking for would change this game for the better

Bearbeitet von RhuM: 11/16/2016 10:40:59 AMI just started Destiny, took a few bounties and launch a clash game. I could tell by the number of ships (2) that we would go on a started match. My opponents were "saywallahbru" and his team, they had super all special ammo box under control, they were 6 vs 1. where's the fun? where's the challenge? This must STOP. There's also the red barring god like player in most of pvp games. why would you let them have such an advantage? is it that hard to make someone with a red bar making no damage ? this game work with connection through the players. Why someone with good connection be suffering the red bar laggy players? I feel that bungie is only listening to a minority of idiots who suck at any games they'll play but they buy a lot of silver and they start 3 new characters each week in the hope of getting a 1 k/d. So they only listen to the guys who can spend a lot on cosmetics... but they never listened to the true player base. I believe it's ok to listen to them they are your money maker but for the rest, I believe the majority of the players where are the changes we all expect for years now? Why bungie NEVER have done anything to counter the red barring, laggy players? We should elect a real community manager/speaker who could talk to bungie on the real needs we have not Cozmo or Deej they don't listen, they just say what their bosses is telling them to say.(wich I understand as they are employees of bungie, I have nothing against these guys doing their job).

2 AntwortenI don't really care much for pvp because of all the lag and cheating but I used to play a lot of PVE and used to do raids but the group I played with stopped playing after FOTL and since there isn't raid matchmaking I haven't even done WOTM raid on hard even though I've mastered it on normal and have been 400 on all my characters for a long while now. Why can't they at least do a beta of raid and nightfall matchmaking? They admittedly underestimate our ability to learn to work together. I know a lot of people would come back if they implemented matchmaking for those forms of the game I just feel they are lazy and don't want to figure the coding out or they are waiting for Destiny 2, or maybe they need better coding talent in the company either way it's gotten boring just doing strikes and bounties. If there isn't matchmaking for those things in Destiny 2 I'm not gonna bother even trying it out.

YOU arent being a toddler. The spammers were. Regardless if they are right or not. If this post had been used and been upvoted and bumped into trending for weeks it would have been much more effective and not written off as childish bullcrap.I

8 AntwortenBearbeitet von Is__Endless: 11/16/2016 3:16:52 AMFor me, it wasn't a breaking point or even sbmm. Honestly, I was playing Iron Banner and Trials all week, got stomped and did some stomping. I'm not sure how heavy the sbmm is at the moment, but it didn't feel like sbmm was an issue. What I noticed is that I stopped caring about winning and losing. I know a lot of my deaths were to bullshit and low skill weapons. I just stopped caring about what happened when I play. I'm just so tired of playing Destiny that I don't even care about doing well, so the game ends up being boring and I shrug off my good plays and bad plays. Right now - starting today, really - I've decided against playing Destiny. I'm not leaving Destiny and I don't dislike Destiny. I love this game, but I'm just tired of it. It's my fault. I play Destiny like it's my job now, and that's a problem. I'm not playing it because I enjoy it. Somebody will send me an invite and be like "Wanna do (activity)?" and, really, I don't. However, I'll join them anyway and just be bored for the entirety of the activity. What am I doing now? I'm playing some Titanfall, ESO and potentially some Call of Duty (not AW, BO3 or IW, because those games aren't for me). ESO is great because it has the lore and story I look for in an MMORPG and I like to think Destiny has a future like its in terms of story. Titanfall gives me that FPS multiplayer action that I've come to enjoy in Destiny (albeit, Titanfall is much faster. Really, we shouldn't be complaining about OP anything in Destiny. Titanfall has a couple of single shot pistols and such). My advice to anybody who has hit their "breaking point", just play Destiny less. Let other games entertain you for a while. We don't have to play this game day in and day out. We can put it down for a few weeks and come back. I'm playing to play Destiny very minimally until SRL comes out. I'll just on for an odd match of Crucible and maybe to do the weekly bounty for Shaxx, but I'm loving the other games I haven't touched in a while (or, in Titanfall's case, games I just purchased). Seriously, guys. Just put Destiny down for a week or so. I promise you'll thank yourself.
-
It's dying on its arse, just play somthing else till destiny two hits.
-
18 AntwortenAs somebody who hasn't played this game consistently or very much at all since HoW, you guys don't know how great bungie is with there communication. I wish half the games I played had developers who cared as much as bungie does.
-
I bought titan fall 2 after the last 3 weeks of trials. I 'll still play Destiny but I personally needed a break for a bit.
