Good Deej....follow it so maybe you can start giving actual feedback. Because your lack of feedback and community interaction is the main source of the problem.

Perhaps a little more transparency from your end is in order as well, for example why : 1. When there's an even number of players e.g. 10/12 players and the match starts, I'm almost always in a team of 4 vs 6 on the opponents side until the end of the match when your matchmaking decides to add 1-2 more players into my team, but by that time there is nothing they / we can do to come back from defeat. This happens too often to be a coincidence. 2. When your matchmaking says " we're breaking up the teams blablabla" and we get matched against the exact same fireteam match after match of losing streaks. 3. When I finally get a good team of randoms, we're immediately broken apart the next match and the previous losing team members are given to me whilst my previous members are in the opposing team for several matches in a row, loss after loss. 4. Most of the time I'm paired up with Japanese players when solo queueing so it's pretty much confirmed your matchmaking is not based on cbmm (or at least not a priority) as im nowhere near their region, however i want to understand the logic of this as im nowhere near a top tier player, and there are plenty of players in my region (I'm active on our country's destiny chapter), and I've been playing a long ass time so I've come to know most of our players yet I'm almost never matched with them. 5. Your reporting system seems to do nothing as im matched with the same laggy players so often to the point I've remembered their usernames. Deej, you have some respect from me for the shit you have to deal with day in and day out and i know you're most likely not in a position to change anything regarding the matchmaking system so i don't blame you, but I'm curious to know if your pvp devs are actually playing the game themselves, solo queueing in to test the pvp environment or are they just testing it in a controlled environment on their own network, amongst colleagues. Their matchmaking implementation and weapon tuning are very suspect at times. I hate to be that guy that says "oh destiny is shit I'm moving on to other games" because i truly love this game, else i wouldn't have racked up almost 3000 hours on this. You guys have done some solid updates and kudos on that but at the same time, it seems that you're hell bent on changing the destiny tagline from "become legend" to "become average" with each change you've made in weapon tuning/nerf, and matchmaking. Tl;dr: Bungie should be more transparent with what they do to the game.

My first game of iron banner I was in a party of three. We was put into a game where the enemy team had 4 red bars. Needless to say the game was over before the heavy came out and the connection was just awful. At the end it said we are breaking up the teams. Then we get put straight into an existing game where we are already losing by 6,000 points. Games should be based on region first and connection second. If you are not gonna ban these red bars the least you could do is to put them all into the same server and let them have fun between themselves. I pay for fibre optic so I deserve to be put into games with green bars.

What tips do you have for ignoring feedback? My boss is riding my nuts about stuff he wants me to do better and it keeps seeping into the way I do my work. What can I do to prevent this from happening?

The reason you now have 'bad feedback' is the outright refusal to listen, and demonstrate you have listened, to the vocal parts of the playerbase. The thoughtful ones have largely given up and/or quit, and this is what you're left with. Why don't you give us some good feedback instead of nebulous patch notes about matchmaking settings? 'We tweaked the MM to have more emphasis on connection' has and for ever can be demonstrated to be false. It would be literally impossible to observe things we do if this was the case, and yet this has never actually been addressed. There are people in the US being matched against people in Dubai. Give us some feedback on that and how this is rationalised by Bungie. If you say 'this isn't the intention' tell us about the patch to eliminate it. Because it happens, and for as long as it happens you will get complaints. Lopsided matches or 'being stomped' are still events that take place in a functional product. Bad connections are not. There are people who can't play with their less skilled clanmates or significant others because it isn't actually fun. Apparently they are worth less in the MM's eyes than people who barely play crucible, despite this being a social game. I would also like feedback as to why the priorities are the way they are. Where is the compare and contrast? Nothing is actually justified vs other competing ideas that at some point the team must have rejected. This is bad feedback from *you*. We give plenty of good feedback and it is never answered. If you have to point to a Bungie user's post instead of dissecting one of your own to show an example of clarity or insight, it's not us who needs to be speaking. It is you. "Meet us halfway'.

After all the bad press players are giving destiny, you and Cosmo are going to be the sacrificial lambs that they lay out when the players riot. Or has that already happened? I have no problems with your game, I do okay in the crucible, and if I say so really damn well in what raids I have done. I will get D2 probably not a preorder but I'll get it. And so will most of these overly salty emo teens and nine year olds. That being said, make the game right. Leave out this microtransaction garbage and make the game you know how to and want to make. Don't let Activision push you around because they so graciously decided to jump on board with you. See you star side guardians.

Which is why I have always proposed this idea: It's not hard to have both sbmm and cbmm... Just like how we get normal and hard modes for missions and strikes, just give players the option to choose which matchmaking settings they want to use for each crucible game mode... It's a super simple solution too. e.g. When you click on control in the navigator, just click the square and select "casual" mode (green) for cbmm or "competitive" mode (orange) for sbmm. I made a poll about this that I hope you all take a look at and that bungie notices too. I think it would help the community as well. Only things that change are weapon and ability balancing. All of that is in the best place it's ever been, and this community has to constantly create something to whine about. Hence, sbmm gets dumped on. All you sbmm whiners....Just like...seriously step back from the game and listen to yourselves for a bit. You're literally the worst thing about this game right now.

Goes by region first yea lol That is why 80% of the people I play are in different countries. What a great person to have on the team a huge moron that tells the people who is paying him F you. Will not support a company who endorses an idiotic publicity person like him. Won't buy Destiny 2 as long as he is part of the team. Companies need to learn to treat their customers better.
