Without a mic.
So if somebody says you need a mic, they're just afraid of change.
You can complete the raid without a mic.
Normal mode? Done.
Hard mode? Check.
Challenge modes? If I could do Aksis without a mic, I can sure as hell hit a switch with a bomb without a mic.
I'll admit I did use a "mic" (shitty apple headphones) for the second time I did normal, mostly because I was helping my friend through. But that doesn't really count, does it?
1 AntwortenI thought Xbox one came with a standard mic? Mine did.

Yeah, i have played with people wothout mics. All that needs to happen is that the other person on the side with no-mic just needs to call out the status of their side. Simple. I do it all the time, regardless of whether my teammate has a mic. Im empowered = empowered right Teammate empowered = we are good right Both empowered = we got two on right. That simple.
-
1 AntwortenAll fine dude, but you are one succes story out of a 100 that failed. I would not even take you in if you had no mic. How hard is it to spend what? 20 bucks on a standard mic?
-
1 AntwortenSo 1 micless person out of 50 is competent enough to do their job. I cant speak tottally for raiding but I know in Trials people without mics generally suck so i can only assume the same for raids

3 AntwortenCongrats? Still doesn't change my mind about taking randoms without mics

By not having a microphone you are simply making the activity more difficult than it needs to be. Not having a microphone is selfish in a game that requires high levels of coordination between team members. Take the Aksis challenge, for example. Once Aksis starts teleporting, empowerment occurs, and you need to quickly reassign sides to prepare for the next teleport, every team member should be able to communicate which side they are going to cover. If you can't speak, the other two empowered players will have to redistribute without any input from you. This makes their job more burdensome than it should be. No, microphones are not required. But I refuse to play with people in complicated activities when I have guess or infer what they intend to do when I can just replace them with another player that will communicate throughout the activity. So feel free to not use a microphone, but don't whine if no one wants to play with you.
-
I have a mic but the funny thing is that I don't talk much and rather concentrate more than communicating. Sorta like not having a mic at all. XD
-
Good for you. Clap. Clap. Clap. Now why should I raid with you instead of someone that has the courtesy to throw in $10 and make everyone's life easier?
-
8 AntwortenBuy a mic and quit relying on people to carry you through end-game content. Yeah that's right. No mic means the other players have to communicate even more. Some people don't mind carrying but at least have a mic so you can TRY and communicate with the fireteam.
-
Noobs always have to make things harder then they are. This game is for the noobs now.

Bearbeitet von RetroNextGen: 11/14/2016 12:09:29 AMThe way I see it is since 2 people were talking on the mic about empowerment he knew where he was needed at. As long as you can hear the other team your golden. Doesn't take 6 people to communicate to finish the raid. You just have to pay attention. Good job, but I recommend mics when I raid.. one person is fine without a mic in my personal opinion as long as they know what they're doing.
-
I don't think anyone would disagree that you can finish the raid even if one guy on your team doesn't have a mic. That's not really the point, though. Imagine a team full of people without mics. Good luck being very effective. If you are the only one on your team without a mic, that just means other people have to work harder to let the team know things like whether or not you are empowered. Why would anyone want to work harder than they need to so that you can get away with being too cheap for a mic? Even your shitty apple headphone solution is infinitely better than no mic at all. In short, can you get good loot without having a mic? Sure. Are most teams willing to help you get that loot at their expense? Probably not.
-
So who called out when you were empowered? Your cohort that was on the same side as you? Did you get extremely lucky and never needed to switch with anyone?
-
Personally, I think it's better with a mic. However, I also believe the mic line should be as quiet as possible so people can clearly communicate without 3 people talking at once. It can become very frustrating, especially if playing with randoms.

3 AntwortenAll I get from this is"look at me, look what I can do" you self righteous -blam!-.
-
7 AntwortenBullshit you did the aksis challenge with no mic.
-
Point is...the ship is very rare

Nice job!
-
Congratulations, really. I could have never done that
-
One thing i noticed about alot of people that i played with is that when you're playing without a mic they start treating you more aggressively as if you were some sort of deaf, but when somebody with a mic makes a mistake and he goes "mah bad guys" everyone goes "it's cool bruh" Just because i prefer not to use a mic doesn't mean i intentionally mess up
sorry just wanted to get that off my chest, feelsgoodman
-
Congrats, looks like you did better then most people.
-
I don't know about anyone else, but I hate when people don't have mics. Your that person that sees a servitor and just looks at it and hopes that someone will connect the dots and shoot it. It is so much better to have a mic.
-
If you managed it without mic then good on you, but I did Normal for the first time last night and it seemed more enjoyable than if we weren't all mic'd up. Calling stuff out made the whole thing pretty easy, we only failed when we weren't talking (and yes we were mostly 400 or close but 3 virgins too). Joining in and good comminication seems to me like the best way to enjoy raiding. But if you can do without/want to do without it makes no difference to me!

2 Antwortenday one player with out mic, have done all raids challenges except lighthouse, but it takes a very long time on lfg to get invited. do you experience a frustrating long time trying to get into events? or do you have an established friends clan list gg
