Your monthly reminder on how to play control
It seems every iron banner I have to make this thread because despite this game mode existing in first person shooters for as long as I can remember as well as two years in destiny it still seems like the average player has no clue what they're doing in iron banner control:
1. See those letters? Those are zones. Stand in them for a bit. They give you points per kill based on how many you own. Having a zone gives you more points than if you had no zones. Two zones gives you more points than if you have one zone. More points means you win the game.
Points are good. Zones give you points. Capture the zones.
2. Don't capture all three zones. I know you just found out that holding zones means you win the game but don't get too greedy! If you take all three then all the enemies will start spawning all around you and you screw everything up. Screwing everything up for your team is bad. It makes you have less points. Less points means you lose the game. Losing the game is bad.
And there you go. Points are good. Zones give you points. Capture the zones. Ask yourself if you've captured a zone recently. Tell your friends about zones.

4 AntwortenHere's the issue, not a single weekly bounty says capture point, hold all zones, finish with the most captures, B-line x amount of times. With no incentive to win and hit rank 3 or 5 people are pushing the bounties and that's it. Why try to win when most of the matches you lose you still get just as much as the winning team. There's been matches where my team held 2 zones the entire match and still lost because for some ungodly reason doing the objective isn't enough to win a match when all you have to do is get kills.

Those are great points you're making but I'm looking at your game history. Staying alive is also another good point to make. If you're going negative almost every single match you're basically giving them the match. Dying all the time gives them tons of points, especially when they have that zone controlled.

1 AntwortenOkay I got it now so capture 3 zones at all cost if not then sit in a corner and snipe and make sure you run right through zones if you're alone and don't capture cause that takes away the competition and dance every 7 to 9 seconds or the spawns points will get lost in the void and tbag every bullet casing so you don't miss out on the exotic loot at the three-fifths mark of the time cap anddon'thelpanyonebecausetheuniverseisallconspiringagainstusandelvisisnotdeadandjfnxosbcucpdnrbfockfILLUMINATI

Solution: Control the zones and then work on your K/D . There is no point to get the kill after you have watched your teammate get killed as he was trying to capture a zone. If you want to get a ton of kills , I say go for it but help your teammates first and then sit back and work on your K/D

On tuesday I played solo and ended up on the same team with some dude for 3 straight games...he captured exactly 0 zones in 3 games. I sent him this PM: "Go back to Clash"

If I'm having an excellent match and I'm slaughtering, then I let my teammates worry about the zones. If I'm having a not so great match, I go for the zones.

With the way people try to play control, it's like a long, drawn-out version of clash where the other team gets double points.

1 Antworteni was in a match yesterday where we were only winning because i was holding B ( we had 2 zones) everyone else was running around shooting i get killed and enemy takes B. NO ONE goes to stop them. We start losing the match I eventually manage to retake B. We take the lead again. I get killed, enemy takes B. again no one runs to stop them. i see some useless guys hanging back waiting for the enemy to come to them. we are close to losing the match I manage to retake B and we win the match despite having fewer kills than most, Im top scorer because I have 3 captures. Everyone else was useless and I can guarantee they would have lost the match If i wasnt there. I dont think ive ever played a game like it before where everyone else is a complete moron

Even though this is a how to post, I believe most people will still ignore it. Therefore, triple cap is fine because both teams think they are playing clash.
