It seems every iron banner I have to make this thread because despite this game mode existing in first person shooters for as long as I can remember as well as two years in destiny it still seems like the average player has no clue what they're doing in iron banner control:
1. See those letters? Those are zones. Stand in them for a bit. They give you points per kill based on how many you own. Having a zone gives you more points than if you had no zones. Two zones gives you more points than if you have one zone. More points means you win the game.
Points are good. Zones give you points. Capture the zones.
2. Don't capture all three zones. I know you just found out that holding zones means you win the game but don't get too greedy! If you take all three then all the enemies will start spawning all around you and you screw everything up. Screwing everything up for your team is bad. It makes you have less points. Less points means you lose the game. Losing the game is bad.
And there you go. Points are good. Zones give you points. Capture the zones. Ask yourself if you've captured a zone recently. Tell your friends about zones.
This has been your friendly reminder on how to play control.

3 AntwortenJust remember that just because someone doesn't have a bunch of captures on their score card at the end, doesn't mean they didn't help. A good team will have captured two points and then it's all zone defense kills. Also, it's okay to leave a point that's being overrun when you're all alone. Just toss a grenade on it as you leave. I think it's nice to leave surprise gifts for guests.

All I took from this post is Help carry me.

Hate when morons capture enemy flag when they don't need to
-
Yes when I see people not taking zones i just wave at the enemy so they can kill me if people don't want to win then I don't care
-
Do this to win Or Capture what you want and how to want to have fun

lol "how to play control for dummies"

I'm typing this before I read the post: CAPTURE THE -BLAM!-ING ZONES After I read the post: triple capping is stupid because it flips spawns and I whas right about capturing the zones, yay

You would think after hearing old salad lips telling you to hold those zones it's the only way to victory after every loss they would get the message! But nooooooooooooo 😣 Ah well.. win or lose you get the loot so no one really gives a monkeys.

For some reason I read that as your motherly reminder...
Your not my mommy.
Winning doesn't even matter anymore lol

2 AntwortenGrab a and B then defend B........ just easy as hell. Sometimes Grab a and c if its closer together ... and again defend. People just forge about defending a Zone.... its called control..... just control it. People think they are good because they have 10 captures at the end of the Game.... Actually 2 would be enough.....if they controlled the Zonen...

A lot of people always play IB like it's Clash, and never the actual game type :(

Bearbeitet von your own pixels: 11/12/2016 9:44:31 AMI love control, I'm that Defender Titan with Armor of Light and Saint-14.... dancing because I dont want people to see my shottie/sword.
Sometimes its best to place a bubble at a point and leave it, get behind it so supers like Nova Bomb / Fist of Panic do not kill you.

Side Note: I see a lot of Warlocks using Vortex, use Scatter and you won't have a problem :D

P.S: Rush enemies heavy, if you survive.... pop a bubble over it, they seem to flock to you as if you kicked a beehive xD
IB should just be a rotation of all of the 6v6 modes. Playing the same game mode for a week is boring.
-
I love that one random cannon fodder who goes to capture B alone lol. Rewards have been awesome.

idk what you talking about iron banner clash is on

False my team camps one zone doesn't die and still manages to win

10 AntwortenFor me, the problem lies with the word 'capture'. I'm pretty sure Shaxx himself says 'capture the zones'. It's not enough to capture and it doesn't help to run around capturing zone after zone. It's called 'Control' for a reason. You have to capture then control two zones, generally, to win. That means having 2-3 guardians holding down and defending their captured zones. Not running from A to B to C like chooks with their heads cut off. People complain about people who have the least captures in the post game carnage report. -blam!- that. If I capture zone A and kill every opponent that tries to take it, I'm helping my team win. If you capture a zone, get out of it and defend from a vantage point. Otherwise you're right in the bullseye for enemy grenades and supers. Stand back, crouch. Let them think it's undefended then strike. It's not hard. Especially when you have another blueberry with you who has some basic level of comprehension.

I love how you're straight up with the real problem with control. I can't count how many times I've backpacked a control match and still lost because my team felt like playing clash. I am pretty much farming IB for light now, so IDGA*, so far 391 to 395. Sounds good to me. Clever Dragon meta 😆
