Veteran's Report: 11/Nov/2016
2 Years... 2 long years.
That's how long we spent creating, evolving, battle-testing our characters. So much hard work, so many memories.
At first it was going swell. Then setback, after setback. The lag, the horrible lag infested Crucible, Cheaters nuked Trials. PVE was left for dead. But we held our ground!
Loss, after Loss... The Microtransactions outnumbered us 3 - 1, The Festival annihilated our wallets.
They made what was supposed to be an exciting journey, into 2 years of hell!

^ Exaggerated Halo Wars parody.
All that is just going to be washed away? You can't...
If it is a Reboot, all of those hard times will remain with us, but nothing to show for it...
I just can't stay with Destiny if that happens...
When 343 betrayed Halo fans, we left... it's that simple. The same will apply to this community.

6 AntwortenYou realize that Destiny 2 probably won't be even close to original engine right? They'd have to re-model and port over every piece of gear that you ever owned in Destiny 1 that you'll use for an hour in Destiny 2 and never use again. It's not worth the time and effort it would take to implement.

1 AntwortenIt's just a game!

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von Doc SoCal: 11/10/2016 3:15:39 PMGames go away. New games come. By this logic every game you ever played was a waste of time and "washed away." 1 AntwortenYou can't really complain about how shitty the expereince has been and then argue that you want them to continue on the same path. Yeah, if Destiny had been the game a lot of us expected I wouldnt have wanted a reboot either but under the current circumstances there's nothing I want more. Let's make Destiny great again. Yeah I really don't know where I was going with that last line :s

Nice Halo Wars reference, Cpt. Cutter.

The way I see it is I would rather have destiny 2 be a separate game over having it being a large DLC. Main thing I hope happens in destiny 2 is no 3oC and xur so exotics actually feel exotic

I hear crys. Should everytime a sequel game is made, should the old content remain? Smh. It needs a fresh boot with completely new everything.

Bearbeitet von Lord Puncake: 11/10/2016 4:07:59 PMIf we weren't to reboot everything, those problems would continue; nothing would be solved. If we start from scratch, we could possibly prevent those problems from continuing forward. There's a reason Destiny is such a clusterfuck of a game. Obviously, Activision doesn't help, but a lot of it is because Destiny is a prototype for Bungie. They've never done anything like this; not to mention MMOFPSs are already rare in their own right. They did too much and too little at the same time. They need to take what they've learned and start over fresh.

1 AntwortenAm I the only one who knows you tied in the opening monologue to "Halo Wars" with your post?
-
6 AntwortenIt's been two years though.
-
1 AntwortenWe've actually only been playing for a little over 2 years
-
12 AntwortenUsually when a new stand alone title comes out everything on the original title is worthless. That's kind of the point with games.
-
12 AntwortenSo basically u just want a new expansion. Not a new game
-
I won't play it if it's a reboot, playing the same story told differently, the same Strikes and Raids slightly reimagined. No thanks! Let's see what they do before our pants fly off our arses though!
-
6 AntwortenIts just a video game, calm down. And yes id love a reboot. Exploring d2 fresh from the start!
