The current shotgun meta is fine but would love to see something done about hand cannons. Its been a long time since we had a buff. Im tired of dismantling countless hand cannons because of low range. Please review this.

2 AntwortenI've got 4 hands, is that what you are implying? I knew those guardians were secretly jealous of my beautiful arms!

That palindrome has dropped twice for me with rifled barrel and rangefinder, statwise the range is enormous. Crit accuracy drops dramatically over distance though, plus moving targets. Also, cannons were designed to be a close range primary which makes them most useful paired with a sniper which means in the shotgun meta, you need to control distance against opponents and not let them control your range.

Bearbeitet von RAIST5150: 11/10/2016 11:21:25 PMStat wise, they are right about where they need to be. Fix the overpowered bloom mechanic (as in, reduce it's impact) and drop their stability a smidge and they should be just about right. Still a bit wonky for the unskilled user, but rewarding for someone that uses them regularly enough to get used to the recoil pattern.

7 AntwortenI don't think they need a buff. I feel competitive with mine. However - they need to be reworked slightly. Ghost bullets are stupid. They should not add rng to a skill based engagement. They took a shortcut and it's unbelievably frustrating to do everything right and lose due to a ghost bullet going into the nether. I'd like to see something along the lines of bloom being removed and recoil being slightly increased. This would remove rng and make stability slightly more valuable in a hc. Additionally, it would increase the idea that hc is a skill weapon.

Except they really don't, they're in a good place

1 AntwortenHand cannons are the dominant primary right now, look at any competitive sweat matches and you will see mostly handcannons. They work perfectly

23 Antworteni don't no what game you're playing but hand cannons are still broken they need anther nurf if anything only a shotgun can deal with a hand cannon and all the cry baby hunters will get them nurfed soon enough bungie if you evan read these forums stop patching the game to a hunters needs nurf the hand cannons and nurf hunters all's they do is cry and moan P.S i play as a warlock the most under used and U.P class on the game so yea.... only O.P thing about a warlock is the melee and a hunter will get that nurfed to

2 AntwortenDo handcannons need a buff? No. They are already deemed as top tier weapons and are used at high level for sweats primarily due to the fact that they offer massive damage in one shot making them fantastic for team shooting. A guardian at less than 50 hp who makes the mistake of peaking around a corner will instantly die to someone scoping towards them with a hand cannon, but if the person scoping in had say, an auto rifle, they may be able to just barely sneak back into cover without dying. This is what I mean by team shooting. However I do think that handcannons do perhaps need some kind of reworking, but not a buff.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Sir Michael: 11/10/2016 5:11:09 AMIf anything, they should get rid of the damage dropoff implemented in the April Update. Without Rifled Barrel, most hand cannons are limited to engaging people at fusion rifle range, which isn't that far when compared to other primary weapons. The feature killed low-impact hand cannons due to their low base range, so they're usually effective at sidearm range unless there's a range perk. Hand cannons are still great guns, the damage dropoff is what really hurts them in Crucible, even PvE.

2 AntwortenCurrent shotgun meta is fine. HA stfu everyone knows that sniper meta would be so much better than a shotgun because snipers actually took a headshot to kill and not a shot barely in the chest
-
I'd be fine with a buff if it didn't apply to Eyasluna, TLW, or Hawkmoon.
-
1 AntwortenAll primaries need a buff in general
-
I want a buff to ARs (slower types)
-
Yeah, totally. I stopped using them because even with rifled and range finder they start to miss more than they hit, as soon as the enemy gets out of auto rifle range. It's okay to have a little damage falloff when shooting across the map, but my bullets need to hit.

#bringbackYR1Hawkmoon

9 AntwortenBring them back to year 1 status. They were godly.
-
5 AntwortenYes, the best primaries in the game need a buff, why didn't I think of that
-
8 AntwortenHand cannons are fine and only need ghost bullets removed
-
Only hawkmoon and thorn need a buff not handcannons in general

8 AntwortenLOL I just cant take the community seriously anymore This thread should be downvoted to hell. Handcannons like Eysaluna and plaindrome are META. Grasp archtype pulses like clever dragon and grasp are meta along with eysaluna, plaindrome and matador yet you guys think..............they needs buffs so stupid

Bungie me pistol only kills in 3 simple shots from up to mid range wtf! Its a pistol for crying outloud it needs to have long range 2 shot kill potential! I cant land 3 shots because of my bad accuracy but Ill place the blame on you so buff HCs now thanks
-
Wrong. They are beefy enough
-
Lol handcannons do not need a buff man. I never used them. Like ever. Well I started using one, and wow. It is definitely easy Mode. I win like any 1v1 as long as I hit my shots. I only lose if it's kind of far, and if they were better handcannons would be the best at every range.
-
The problem is if they buff them to where the range stat doesn't matter as much and they are super accurate then they become the only viable primaries. As annoying as it is, the bloom mechanic is the only thing keeping them in some kind of balance with other primaries.
