RnG is RNG...there must be a method to the madness..
Bungie....this sucks. But that's on me.
After seeing 100+ different opinions.. Rock on bungie. RnG is RnG....that's my bad for expectations. Not yours. Thanks for the awesome game.
Update 1~i got 6 keys in 66 strikes..not terrible but I definitely have noticed a few things...
Seems the vanguard streak doesn't help your chances, at all. Yesterday I got 3 keys from under 15 strikes... I'd play 2-3 strikes and then go do something else...I played 5 sessions like this, and got 3 keys...all of which fell during the first strike of the new session.
Update 2~
Please try something similar to this and let me know your results...specifically if your drop rate has been abysmally abysmal...we are a community afterall, let's see if we can help each other figure out ways to obtain these, (to some), nearly mythic keys.
P.S.. My thoughts are that, like with 3oC, there must be some way to help your chances..when 3oC released people were doing it wrong, a similar post taught me to pop 3oC just before a boss fight, or in orbit b4 raid, ect...

1 AntwortenGaining Light Level is a festival Diarrhea or #dumpsterfire. Not fun but I made 390 and I quit except for one weekly: nightfall, xur stuff and Vosik part one chest. Legendaries are trash regarding light. Archons forge just gives ghosts, which i am grateful for. Faction Package RNG is the main reason I give up on the time wasting grind for light level. Boots and Chest Armor are near impossible to find by the two factions I used =vanguard+dead orbit. Skeleton keys are the only thing that if not RUINED would save this fifth of greed by bungie. Drop rates suck so bad it is not worth the time. These people who say "it would make earning light too easy" = I say you are the problem. What little content ROI has they poop all over it with bad RNG and garbage loot with no return investment for your time. "Dude , it's an MMO it's supposed to grind"-get wrecked. On the bright side I am no longer an easy target in PvP because the rewards are trash! 2¢

Can you transfer keys to other characters? I know you can't using this app, but can they go in the vault and be picked up by a different character? I am almost to last step of thorn quest and really don't want to grind these strikes for the bazillionth time if I can just finish the quest for a free skeleton key on my other character.

It's a wishful lie to try and keep people from leaving to orbit or leaving strikes and therefore makes matchmaking faster for everyone else overall. It's faster if everyone stays in their matchmade groups and just go into the strike. It's also faster to add one person to a couple, than to find 3 separate people and combine them into a fireteam. If teams stay together, matchmaking doesn't have to work as hard finding a new team for every single person after every strike. Just my theory, I'm sure someone will point out if I'm wrong lol

3 AntwortenPeople don't seem to understand what the real problem is. All I see are these nonsensical posts about how it's rng and there isn't an issue. The issue IS RNG ITSELF. One player shouldn't have the ability to have a ridiculously consistent 1:2 drop rate per strike while another is getting them at a 1:10. Meanwhile some poor soul out there is probably pushing towards 1:75 and won't ever touch a strike again in his/her life. The problem with RNG is that in it's purest and most unmodified form, it is consistently inconsistent. We need modified RNG. A static drop rate that is fair to all. Maybe even a weekly quest that rewards a guaranteed batch of keys in case you don't have time to grind or you're that one unlucky person who still can't get them to drop with increased rates. Yes, even with increased rates, rng will still be present. There will still be those sorry few, but the goal is to lessen their ranks. Mediate the lucky. Spread some -blam!-ing love bungie. And for the love of God, STOP GIVING ME BONDS FROM OMNIGUL!

You want keys? The general consensus is that they drop more in the siva chrisis strike list, rather than heroic. Anyone else notice this?

Remember we thought they said they were going to remove the grind for strike specific gear But in true BUNGo form they made it much much worse as nf no longer drops strike gear And 1 key per 10 strikes is worse at least before you got 10 drops They should drop after 3 Bungie buff = key
