The War On SIVA Isn't Over
Given that Rise of Iron has been a short (albeit well done) expansion, i'm expecting a large content drop at some point in the future expanding the story and maybe even adding a new raid. Here's why;
When the Iron Lords try to claim SIVA we learn that there is something else controlling SIVA on a deeper level, something other than Rasputin (as he tries to stop them from ever getting to it in the first place)
When we go to destroy the SIVA production facility we find out that SIVA has learned how to make living human tissue (evident from the final room and the oversized Iron Lords) yet that is the last we see of it.
(for those who will say we destroyed it all with the facility i give you this, 7 Iron Lords were locked in that room yet there are only 3 when we get there..)
From Wrath of the Machine we learn that SIVA also has the Fallen DNA map (due to the fact that Aksis is EXTREMELY physically modified) and after that the Devil Splicer leadership is lost, yet SIVA still works with a cause.
So my thoughts are there is a warmind behind SIVA which got corrupted so Rasputin shut it down and locked it away, but before he did it gave one last order to SIVA, ~consume enhance replicate~. And now the warmind has been awoken by either the destruction of the facility or the Fallen.
Maybe the warmind will try to take over Rasputin.
Maybe it will try to gain a physical presence, considering is has the ability to create Human and Fallen living tissue.
Maybe it creates a whole new hybrid race of Human and Eliksni, fallen capable of wielding the light.
There is so much more that could happen, and the Iron Lords duty will not be fulfilled until the threat of SIVA is completely eliminated.
Edit 1: by a large content drop i do mean something similar to the April update with Malok but on a slightly larger scale to make up for the lack of story in the initial release.

yes im sure there will be it will probably be challenge mode and light increase .. but SRL is yet to come .. dont expect much though this is bungie after all.. the only time i was not disappointed with them was with Vanilla took me 4 months to get to 30 and have everything done then the new stuff where dropping and light increases and stuff.. then i gave up due to it being to bland.. doing the samething on reset then having nothing to do once you do nightfall strikes and the raid .. samething now.. i am 400 on all 3 chars.. i have everything i need at 400 and everything i want at 400.. im back to 3 nightfalls and 3 raids then what is left? iB? already have full IB gear on all 3 chars whats after that? Too? already been flawless all i want is the cloak for the hunter what else after that? nothing else cuz that is how limited the content is for Destiny

Nope. No more content at all, if anything they'd put the rest of the story together with Grimoire Cards. A la "Books of S(IVA)orrow".

Honestly tho my hope is that they drop a chain of missions/quests around June-July that ends in a cliffhanger that leads into Destiny 2.

Not sure if you've seen the post about Rasputin using us as pawns to destroy all of it major threats, but it was speculated that Rasputin set up the House of Devils. We are now Rasputin's greatest threat. Assuming, the [b]real[/b] Cabal don't show up.

Most if bungie staff are focusing on destiny 2

Ill be very surprised if there is another raid MAYBE (yes a big maybe) a strike connected to SIVA, an april update might bring new vendor gear but I doubt much else xbox might get the year 2 exclusives finally but again not holding my breath.

Rasputin wasn't trying to stop the Iron Lords from getting Siva, at that point, he did not know what they wanted. They attempted to communicate with him, he attacked them with Siva and more conventional weapons. Rasputin is the only warmind on Earth. Rasputin was the one controlling Siva against the Iron Lords. Siva was dormant until the Fallen dug into the replication chamber. The Iron Lords we thought against were probably still alive, although heavily altered by Siva.

11 AntwortenIn my opinion .... The iron lords are a chapter now open and closed with SIVA SIVA was just a way to give the fallen a real raid cuz PoE was not 'endgame' worthy ... The only thing left to actually do now is find answers to : Who is the Exo stranger and what the heck was she going on about ( or else it's done with the NTtE exotic pulse edition ) { perhaps the Exo still has a part to play w. Rasputin as Rasputin wonders at 'little platform's' tenacity ... Will there be a Cabal raid now ( cuz like duh , lack of cabal raid to date ) plus time has past since dreadnought beach head tactics and I think the motherland was notified of our systems craziness ... reinforcements on the way ? Does the speaker become relevant again ? The 9 , Xûr , Mara sov and little bro .. ??? Osiris / Saint 14 ??? ->> I think that waking the hive and everything thus far is going to be written off as minuscule in comparison to where the story is gong to go from here ... Something big better be coming ... cuz we so far have stomped the shit out of the darkness

Could be a bit of a stretch... But perhaps it was a Warmind, just not Rasputin? SIVA was developed on Mars. Who is to say it is impossible for Charlemagne to have anything to do with it. Consume Enhance Replicate. A SIVA reborn Warmind?

Your expecting to much. The next big thing will be srl and maybe, maybe old raids back again in 6-7 months and that's a huge maybe.

It never learned to make human tissue, it infected their armor. It was all siva and dead stuff inside.
