I believe that the sun should be an explorable planet in Destiny 2. It may hold some amazing lore, and I'm surprised it hasnt been brought up yet as a suggestion.
What if we have a warmind on the sun? Or even better Golden Age tech? Maybe the environment will be like a beach, since the sun is a warm planet in our solar system, and we already have a desert (Mars) so how would it make sense to add another desert? What races do you think will inhabit the sun? Let me know in the comments!
By the way check out my FanFic series on the mysterious House of Scar! Scar Master Post

1 AntwortenI like how everyone is saying ''you can't go to the sun, you'd never make it'' but we can be on Venus and not cook to death
-
4 AntwortenYea but we can only go at night
-
Sun =/= Planet Sun = Star
-
1 AntwortenDat solar burn doe Ok. I'll go. But only if we go at night.
-
I'd love it! But since it's a star, we'll likely be completely incinerated. Would be fun way to delete a guardian you don't use anymore. Go, into that big bright light my guardian
-
3 AntwortenActually, if you got to the sun you will see the charred remains of multiple hype trains. Like the Super Smash Bros hype train with a recording of the Corrin and Bayonetta reveals on it.
-
A beach planet? My life is complete.
The sun has a liquid surface made out of lava.
-
The sun is a star not a planet bud. You would be inceinerated before you even reached the surface. Buuuuuuuut, if you could land on it with space magic it would probably be to bright to even see.
-
We can't even step in lava. Why would we be able to walk on a star? And what exactly would you expect to even see other than pure white light?

4 AntwortenPlease stop calling the sun a planet...
-
Bearbeitet von marlo321: 10/28/2016 9:10:48 PMYou do realize the sun is gaseous and even in science fiction would be too big of a stretch to "land" on it or even get close enough to think about landing on it. Mercury is bad enough Edit: and WTF are you doing calling the sun a planet. Damn public schools.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von I_AM_ADAM_WE: 10/28/2016 5:50:55 PMThe sun, like most stars, is burning gas.... Here let me just stand on gas at temperatures that diamonds melt. Great idea.
-
Yes it was. Months and months ago.
-
Except the sun would melt every last thing that get nears it. Also it is a giant ball of gas so where would you build?
-
-
The sun is a star...
-
I don't know if I should be taking this seriously or not.
-
Please explain to me how beaches on the sun would be possible
-
Are you the original poster of this, or are you copying the guy who posted this a while back?
-
6 AntwortenI expected something funny tbh... But you do know why we can't go to the sun, right?
-
No. It's the sun. The only reason we can go to other planets is because the traveler terraformed them, and you can't terraform a star. Even if you could it would destroy the solar system with the way it would change everything. Also it's the sun; and it's hot as shit there, you would literally melt long before you got anywhere near the surface of the sun.
-
Set the controls for the heart of the sun.......
-
1 AntwortenThe sun is so far away that it's too cold to go to.

4 AntwortenHow? Tf? O_o The traveler transformed the planets from our solar system to build and live on them (If I remember that correctly) The sun is literally the only thing that spends natural light, if you would transform that, so you could walk on it, you would pretty much destroy our only light source. #DarknessFTW? F*ck no. There are planets that are far more interesting than the sun. Skiing on Europa? ✔ Just one example of many. But the sun? Not really. And I don't think that it would fit really well into the lore.
