I'M -blam!-ING SICK OF IT
I'm -blam!-ing sick of SBMM. I just want to enjoy some normal games and don't sweat my ass off all the -blam!-ing time holy shit! It makes pvp so unenjoyable and i honestly think about quitting. I mean nobody here cares,but damn, i can't be the only one.
EDIT: There's more to it than always sweating in order to win. SBMM mostly results in a lag fest,and also, if you have a huge skill gap between your friends,like i have,it is completely frustrating for my friends to play with me,so they rather play alone,which should not be the case in public playlists.

4 AntwortenWell, fellow guardian. May I offer some advice for you, to maybe make your hardships lesser? While SBMM is a thing in Destiny, still, the sweat experience you experience(?) is not 100% due to it. Yes, if you are "good" you'll play more equally "good" people, but... This game has been out for over 2 years. People have learned, the overall population skill has increased. So while you (and me) dwell on Y1 where we could reign free in pvp, it was not just due to a wider skill pool on matches. People back then were just "bad". Nobody jumped around corners, people just strolled into sniper lanes and the whole pvp game was way slower. As we live out our guardian lives, we all get better at the game. So it seams you only play a very small pool of people, while in actuality you play a bigger pool but they all know the basics of pvp. TL:DR In 2 years the Destiny population learned how to play this game. It's not just SBMM, it's just faster and more people know more. Have fun, fellow guardian. And take a break if the salt starts to creep in. [spoiler]What I do is play old Halo titles on Heroic if I need a break from Destiny but still wanna be challenged[/spoiler]

I'm an average player and I will tell you what you would tell me. Git gud. All my matches have always been sweaty because I am an average player an sbmm has little effect on your matches from my experience. I won't come on here and complain because it's pointless. I promise you that I am in the majority bracket of players when it comes to skill level and we deal with this way more than you do. Just relax and have a good time.

I like to think that I'm OK at pvp but I have friends who are really good. I literally can not play pvp with them because it matches me, an average player, with people who either lag and cheat or are just plain better every time. I can only do well when u play alone.

1 AntwortenDude just get good, pvp is still fun for me and I run with long range weapons and get 1-2+ kd's in my matches. Just practice in the crucible and you will be fine.

46 AntwortenCame on yesterday and wanted to do the quest . Had to go into the crucible . First match i spawn into a game in progress. Got stomped . Full fireteam playing like they are MLG pros. I was like : They must have caught me off guard . Didnt expect to go in there and play MLG pros. Second game , same thing. Spawn trapped. The game finishes with me in spawn animation and getting havoc fisted right after the animation finished. GG. At that point i wanted to turn off the playstation . I play a game of supremecy and what do i see? THE WHOLE TEAM HOLDING HANDS AND TEAMSHOOTING. Im like what is WRONG with you guys ? Dont you want a challange? Dont you want to go 1vs1 and see if YOU got it? No gotta hold hands and move in a pack sporting that new candlelight shader.

9 AntwortenWorse thing to happen to FPS games is make K/D visible to players. K/D watchers are the worst type of players. They should remove the option to view any K/D from PvP and that will make people more relaxed and go out and have fun.

5 AntwortenYour fighting a losing battle, once I had a high KD etc... now after returning from months away from the game I play sweaties every game, makes me turn the game back off really, most people dont understand until they have faced the problem, I dont want to come back and fight people with perfect rolls and meta gears 24/7 forcing me to do the same for "fun". stomping isnt what i want 24/7 either but right now to people it is like we want to do just that, I want VARIETY in what happens each match and the freedom to be a casual some days and relax

I mostly just play Trials on the weekend and occasionally Rift or a featured gametype. SBMM killed going into Crucible solo.

It's not SBMM, it's P2P problem. You just come into a game, where you don't stand a chance because of connection. Full fireteams mostly have a big connection advantage. It mostly doesn't even matter if it's a full firerteam or not. In Destiny there is always 1 team that has a connection advantage. In Destiny's PvP the fireteam leader's connection is the most important. Example: When i'm fireteam leader in Trials, we win 4-5x without problems. Then we mostly get red bars and the well known story... When one of the other two fireteam members is a fireteam leader, then we loose every match. So mostly i have to be the fireteam leader. And i have the highest ELO in our fireteam/ top 2% and they are not even in the top 5%. [b]So what SBMM? Destiny's PvP is only the combination of internet connections/ host/ distance between players/ packet loss, nothing else.[/b]

Thank god for private matches! Our clan just gets together and beats up on each other now a days and have found it to be a lot more fun. We limit our frustrations to the banner and ToO.
