We just got DDoS'd in Trials. We flew in, had the loading screen for Burning Shrine, and then - the game froze, black screen with "Burning Shrine" in the bottom left corner. My two fireteam members were then like "Whaaat? Contacting Destiny servers?" Then they were kicked from the PSN party and then kicked from the fireteam. The internet outage was so bad they had to restart their PS4s to come back.
The people we went up against were:
PSN = [REDACTED]
PSN = [REDACTED]
PSN = [REDACTED]
I was the fireteam leader and wasn't kicked. Once the match started, they immediately came over to me, taunted me, killed me, started t-bagging.
I have linked [REDACTED] destinytracker profile to show how he (as of this moment) has a 100% win/loss ratio today with nearly 50 games of trials. Each game has roughly zero kills or deaths. The same goes for the other members of his fireteam.
I'll be uploading a video shortly.
I've taken the liberty of removing the gaming account names of the person(s) who you stated were cheating.
Bungie takes reports and game bans VERY seriously, and so they carefully research those reports against their server logs for actual shenanigans (cheating/exploits). If those reports and the investigation bear fruit, the cheaters will be dealt with. But things like making a vid, creating a topic, and/or naming them here on the forums serves no purpose and has no benefit. If you have used the in-game report tool, then you've done your part. And thank you for doing so.
For those who who want to take the extra step, or were kicked from the game (and are unable to access the reporting tool), Bungie has created a Cheating Submission Form that allows players to find the PGCR (Post Game Carnage Report) from their personal history, fill out an official report, describe the cheating, and even link a vid (if they have one). Please feel free and encouraged to use this tool, but pay close attention to the warnings on the form.
* If you are not confident that a player was cheating, do not use this form.
* Abuse of this contact form may result in account restrictions.
* Fraudulent reports and submissions unrelated to cheating may result in disciplinary actions against your account.

Wow They took down the names, proves Bungo protects cheaters.

considering #5 in the world for elo has a 0.74 weekly kd and a 15 win streak ps4 isnt the only one with DDoS happening

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von twey_ironside: 10/25/2016 12:43:42 PMBump. If it proves as true they should be banned for life from PSN.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von tmayo: 10/25/2016 12:55:43 PMI got three more

Bungee should make it so they get disconnected at the start of every match. Even pve.

1 AntwortenDon't bam this dude Ninjas, his post is legit and those guys deserve to be named & shamed. Stuff like this is why I don't even bother with Trials anymore
-
7 AntwortenThis post is going to be removed because you have posted their names. Name and shame is against forum rules.
-
1 Antwortenreport names to psn, not on here. what are we going to do with the names lol?
-
Same thing happened to my team three weeks ago. Not these cheaters but other scum. We are very average at best but were on a great run when they kicked us out. Only difference was they waited until we had a lead. I got kicked first, then our second. Last guy left was swarmed and tea bagged. Checked their history, they were definitely cheating. Reported them. Every week I check and they are still running trials and still cheating, Bungie has done nothing.
-
Hah , bungie doesn't take shit serious about bans , wish they'd just permanently these guys . Oh but guess what , they won't . Why? Because these same people are the ones paying bungie to remain able to do it. Why haven't they shut down the carry sites ? Because they've got a stake in them for extra cash , otherwise they'd have sent out cease and desist orders for using their licensed content for profit without their authority. Biggest of these are streamers , but aren't doing it directly so it's legal ( donations)

Yeah it sucks, I got ddos last week and the week before that. All I did was report them In game hoping that it would do something, but I doubt it. Thank you bungie.

Instead of banning cheaters, they should take away all their gun slots, lock their light level at - 1, and make it so they can only play crucible. Maybe they could REDACT all players names they encounter too, to you know protect the victims of cheating, not the cheaters themselves. (Don't know enough about server tech to know if would be effective at preventing DDoS?) Nevermind, just ban them, they would probably still find a way to cheat and win. Hopefully, the dregs of the community will leave for Battlefield 1 or CoD:IW soon anyway. (Unless of course, the cheating isn't as easy there? But CoD is published by Activision too so...)

At least the ninja just redacted the names. Ya but bungie wount do jack shit about this kind of manipulation.
-
1 AntwortenI don't think those were cheaters. It's just Destiny's broken P2P matchmaking, where your ISP's don't like the other ISP's.

Bearbeitet von II_No_27_II: 10/25/2016 1:37:57 PMOther ninja edit: We here at bungie are pussies, we don't care about your player experience, all we care about is how much money we raise by recycling as much content as possible. We have implemented a no name shaming policy as we have highered the scum bags to ruin your experience so that's working as intended. Green bars that lagg also is working as intended. We hope you guys are having a wonderful experience, any feedback will be disregarded and we will do what ever we want regardless of the consequences! Have a good day!

Remember "bungie takes cheating VERY seriously " Hahahahahahaha
-
That was happening all day yesterday everywhere in the game. Calm down and remove the names for your own good.

Bearbeitet von Jordan30589: 10/25/2016 1:01:44 PMIts so easy to use an ip sniffer and a stresser to boot people. Its sad though that Bungie doesnt ban their accounts for good and dont allow us to shame their freaking username when booting people offline its actually illegal and they are hurting the actual users who dedicate time and play Destiny fairly. Common sense at its finest.

5 AntwortenThis wasn't a DDoS. I swear, people on these forums think every person and their dog can perform a DDoS. A DDoS will completely overload your DNS, and all internet connection will be lost for ALL devices on that network. You can't just restart your PS4 to have it work again. You need to reset your internet for anything to come back online.
