We just got DDoS'd in Trials. We flew in, had the loading screen for Burning Shrine, and then - the game froze, black screen with "Burning Shrine" in the bottom left corner. My two fireteam members were then like "Whaaat? Contacting Destiny servers?" Then they were kicked from the PSN party and then kicked from the fireteam. The internet outage was so bad they had to restart their PS4s to come back.
The people we went up against were:
PSN = [REDACTED]
PSN = [REDACTED]
PSN = [REDACTED]
I was the fireteam leader and wasn't kicked. Once the match started, they immediately came over to me, taunted me, killed me, started t-bagging.
I have linked [REDACTED] destinytracker profile to show how he (as of this moment) has a 100% win/loss ratio today with nearly 50 games of trials. Each game has roughly zero kills or deaths. The same goes for the other members of his fireteam.
I'll be uploading a video shortly.
I've taken the liberty of removing the gaming account names of the person(s) who you stated were cheating.

For those who who want to take the extra step, or were kicked from the game (and are unable to access the reporting tool), Bungie has created a Cheating Submission Form that allows players to find the PGCR (Post Game Carnage Report) from their personal history, fill out an official report, describe the cheating, and even link a vid (if they have one). Please feel free and encouraged to use this tool, but pay close attention to the warnings on the form.
* If you are not confident that a player was cheating, do not use this form.
* Abuse of this contact form may result in account restrictions.
* Fraudulent reports and submissions unrelated to cheating may result in disciplinary actions against your account.

Edit: maybe a Wall of Shame listing banned players would help. I dunno. Just seems like the Invisible Hand of Justice is a little too invisible.

(TL:DR- Bungie please publish reports about what you're actually doing about it, otherwise the threat "we take it seriously" carries no weight.) My favorite deterrent for cheaters is when developers make it so all the cheaters are on tbe same world, server, etc. Make a special queue for people who have been caught cheating, lag switching, whatever, and then they can cheat all they want against other cheaters. But that would require programming time on the developers side, which means they are pulled from other projects and the non- cheating playerbase cheats anyway. But at any rate, Bungie in not reporting the ban waves, at the very least, if and when they do occur, is giving the impression of nonchalance over cheating. Which means more people will cheat... (It's like roads where you know the speed limit is not enforced - many more people go much faster than the speed limit in these areas than in locations where there is a known enforcement presence.) Deterrence only works if the threat of repercussions is sincere. Saying "we take it seriously" is insufficient. If they want to protect the names of cheaters, fine whatever, with the whole social economy I'd be afraid of lawsuits too. But at least publish statistics revealing how many people are banned and how often. It would make the entire playerbase (potential cheaters and legit players alike) understand that something will actually be done about it.

1 AntwortenHappened to me too. The best one of them had a 0.7k/d and their elo was above 1700...

Depending on the country, DDoS is a pretty serious offense. They really need to go through and actually do something about it.
-
Until Bungie changes the trials to more reasonable benchmarks the cheating will continue. It is like an IQ test... To get lighthouse: 9 wins, unlimited losses. So simple but they keep catering to cheaters, streamers, and other garbage.
-
Didn't you hear? Trials isn't for average players. If you don't cheat your way through or stream...well don't expect much. Don't worry though, the ninjas will ensure they can cheat another day. Just kidding, that report tool really does work! Want some kool-aid?

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von BK-GHOST: 10/25/2016 5:00:45 PMWhy ninja anything here? Why are people allowed to do this without any worry of repercussion? People have this avenue to vent and attempt to right the wrongs being done...yet the ones punished are the ones who were already faulted and violated BUNGIE really needs to address their ways of dealing with this ninja injustice...the ninjas should not be coming to the aide of cheaters... They were named? So f'n what...they cheated...50 games \100% win ratio\average less than the usual amount of kills to win 2 rounds let alone whole matches...only exepmtion would be if they played every single match hiding until the flag came and ALL teams EVERY round failed to attempt to capture said flag...COMPLETE BS and so obvious...yet op gets ninja injustice...wtf is that

It absolutely serves the purpose of bringing to light the cheating so that it can get the attention, condemnation and punishment that it deserves. People are not jumping on these forums to post videos of people allegedly cheating. They come here and post when it is blatant and unchecked so the whole name and shame thing is an absolute load of garbage.

2 AntwortenI've had that happen in just regular crucible matches, before I wired my connection. When I was just using WiFi, I'd get booted from a match, and I'd have to reset my Xbox and re-setup my WiFi connection. It never happened with other games, only Destiny ever caused it. I think my problem was for one, using WiFi, but also, because Destiny has bad connection problems anyway: P2P. :( I'm guessing with that guy's 100% win rate, he probably was cheating, but sometimes Destiny just causes that.

5 AntwortenChecked their games history and it is clear that they are cheating. Bungie need to do something. Im calling for a permanent ban from destiny.

Bearbeitet von sgJakes: 10/25/2016 4:39:30 PMI'm sure it they are 50-0, they have been "reported" numerous times. And yet they are still playing and cheating. If only Bungie acted as swiftly in responding to the reports, as they due to NERF the posts on the Destiny Community page.

4 AntwortenI thought the developer posted on twitter that the lighthouse was for above average players. I guess winning with zero kills falls under "above average" Git Gud?

3 Antworten"Bungie takes reports and game bans VERY seriously" HA! I love a good joke!

4 AntwortenI remember around the time of halo 3 bungie was super gung-ho about bringing the ban hammer(named after the gravity hammer) down on cheaters.... don't know what happened

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von KayOsS882: 10/25/2016 3:45:16 PMI went into trials and for some reason we couldn't get any kills. We thought the other teams we played against were cheating. This went on for a few cards. Then we came to realized, we just really suck at trials.

3 AntwortenBungie can look at all of this. If this is all true, then they should be banned from Destiny for life.
-
Welcome to Destiny PVP, where cheaters are honored and honest players are screwed over.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Judge_Rhymehold: 10/25/2016 1:21:32 PMI like how not being positive if they are cheating when using the reporting form could result in your own banning due to fraudulent/abuse of the reporting tool. lol? Talk about stupid shit
