Should we be able to get Vanguard Rep. from Archon's Forge ?
Since the release of WoTM heroic mode, there has been an increase of players in the Archon's Forge looking for high light ghosts and artifacts. But there are those who have terrible luck and keep getting stuck with rare engrams. To fill that empty void, I think players should be able to receive Vanguard Rep. from the Archon's Forge. If this would come into play, the gains of rep. should be the same or less that what Croats bane rep. we get from Court of Oryx. So with this idea on the table, I would like to see where you guardians stand on this idea.

If it gave iron lord rep for packages of old iron banner gear, like it was it's own faction, I'd be playing nonstop

No because Bungie obviously didn't want to do that. Since they make the game and we play it, I think it doesn't matter what we want. The forge isn't a vanguard rep spammer.

1 AntwortenPSA you might get high level artifacts in the forge that are BLUE/RARE!!!! Check the light level before you dismantle!!!! I almost deleted a 390 blue artifact, saw the light lvl just at the last second.

1 AntwortenI think we should get some rep. Just not a lot. Maybe something around 20-40 rep per round depending on which level of forge you get. Since anyone can get into a game and easily run 20 rounds or more, it would be easily exploitable and too easy to gain a level. Plus we have the people that sit in the back and don't help out who would get free rep. From doing nothing.

3 AntwortenNo you care bear. God this game has become ridiculously easy mode. No balance whatsoever. Everyone wants everything handed to them. You do realize you're killing the game faster right? There's already zero grind thanks to whiners and no sense of accomplishments with this new DLC and it's easy as hell raid thanks to posts like this.

Ok, the forge does give us artifacts and ghosts, which was an awesome change. But there needs to be some other incentive to doing it. i just said the other day that Shiro needs to be his own faction, and we need to earn his rep in the forge. He needs to have his own reward system and have items for sale as well. The iron temple needs a vendor. Shiro is it.

Yes or no, shiro's quest will give you 500 per bounty, 2k rep per week if you finish it.

It's considered a PE. Every PE in the open world after completion counts points towards vanguard and faction. We all know this. So why does this not work the same for the forge? Madness I tell ya... Madness!!!!!!

Game designwise, rep is a reward that rewards continued play. Weekly bounties/rewards are designed to make you play at least weekly. They have (theoretically at least) the highest rewards. Daily bounties/rewards are designed to make you play daily (at least least to pick up the new bounties). But after you have used these up, there still needs to be something that keeps you playing. Unlimited rep bonuses fall into this category. They're small, but they're unlimited so there's the additional incentive to keep playing even after "there's nothing better to do". (The current balance is actually a bit off with the daily bounties paling into insignificance, but that's another thing) After you got all the Saladin's Vigils you need, why go back to the Forge? That's the question. Whether it's Vanguard rep or Iron rep or whatever, I think Forge should have some small guaranteed reward for continued play.

I think it's should've been a rep earned via shiro at the temple. Give weapons that have the same weapon design of the iron banner weapons. I feel like if he had his own rep. for the forge there would be a huge boost in people actually being in the forge.

More rep is always nice, but considering how much rep the Shiro bounties give isn't that getting a bit greedy? =P and a tip for if you're grinding the Forge: gave open one of the apps where you can see what's in your postmaster and refresh it every couple minutes, to make sure you're not losing stuff that's getting sent there as you play

But that just me. - get bonus rep for reviving team mates in activities - get bonus reps for most kills in any activities - get bonus reps for providing boost to team mates in any activities - get bonus reps for having the final kill shot to a boss. - get bonus reps for having the final kill in pve. - get bonus reps for being the "last guardian standing" - get bonus reps for not dying in a strike. But that's just my opinion. Force some players to do some work.

Sure but each completed round gives very minimal amount (like a completed patrol bounty)
