Alright before you just hit "Yes" or "No", please take the time to hear me out. Alright so firstly I am just going to give my opinion on what I feel Bungie could bring as "fair" trading, I also hope to add in some edits of people that bring good points on the subject, both the negative and positive. Now to the main point, as much as I dislike using this game as a comparison considering how let down I was by it, Tom Clancy's The Division did a pretty good job with trading and I could see this implemented into Destiny. Now for those who have not played The Division, trading in my opinion was exactly how it should be. You are only able to trade items with the people in your group who are there when that item drops, and you are a given a time limit (2 hours I think, this could be wrong just going off memory here) and the person you were sharing your loot with was not obligated to give something in exchange as literally you actually dropped your drop and they could choose to pick it up or leave it. So let's say we put this in Destiny, Player 1 and Player 2 are running the Nightfall, and at the end Player 1 gets a beastly fusion rifle, and Player 2 get a whole bunch of strange coins (YAY). Now Player 2 is in LOVE with fusion rifles and I mean IN LOVE with them. Literally this guy has about 67 of them in his vault. And Player 1 is a strict shotgun only kinda guy. Well Player 2 begs him for it, and I mean BEGS HIM. Well it's just his luck because you know what? Player 1 is feeling generous and knows he has no use for it so he DROPS IT FOR THE LUCKY -blam!-. So how bad could trading be? NO HE HAS TO EAR- SHUT THE HELL UP! IF HE PLAYED THE SAME GODDAM ACTIVITY AS YOU WHY NOT GIVE HIM A CHANCE TO ADDITIONAL LOOT THAT'S NOT UP TO HIM BUT THE GODDAM MERCY OF OTHERS!? So yeah that's about all I've got. Please feel free to bring your own opinion to the table, I won't judge (openly) and if I feel you've made a good point I'll slap on an edit so everyone can see.
Edit: PACKNHEATR1CO brought up the point that then high light level players could just carry a buddy through a high activity and then give them the loot, essentially defeating the purpose of the grind.
Help lm Dying suggested that shared items would drop at 3 light (in the form that chroma gear does now) to avoid any such circumstances such as PACKNHEATR1CO foresaw.
Another good point brought up was to leave exotics out of the pool, as to avoid people all unlocking the exotics easily.

1 AntwortenEvery person I see saying no, gives a reason that doesn't make sense given the conditions you put in. People read the whole thing. You have to be in the same fire team and beat whatever that person beat. So there's no selling weapons. They drop at 3 light when trading so no boosting. Exotics don't count. So no passing around exotics. The only reason I saw was the leader might kick you if you don't give him the weapon you got. And it's sad, how that's actually a legit reason. People suck
-
Id say if u trade any gear it should 3 light when u receive it.
-
I believe that trading should only occur within an end of game screen or raid chest.
-
2 AntwortenNo, because you'd have people like me that would pay for a Full Auto Range Finder Mapador. And that would be unhealthy for the game in general.
-
If there was some form of in game economy system then I'd agree without a doubt. It's a little trickier when the only things you could trade for would be other gear pieces.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von UmbraWulf: 10/19/2016 4:51:49 AMEven if you dropped the light down of the piece to 0 and they had to buy an upgrade token and then infuse it, people would still sell everything. Did you not see how many offers to "carry" people just to get Black Spindle, imagine that with all weapons, armour and anything else. It is one thing to pay for a carry, at least you are somewhat involved, but for a trade, that is just stupid. Not a lot of people pay for raid or nightfall carries at the moment, but you add in your fireteam trading system, that's exactly what will happen. Didn't get that Iron Banner handcannon you were hoping for but a team mate did, guess what, now you do. One of the smartest things Destiny did was keep trading from this game. The only trading I would like to see is us being able to trade Xur a couple of exotics for one we don't have, not a selected one mind you, just one that we have not already received. I have one caveat to this though. I would like the ability to drop ammo synths on the ground, even selectable for who they drop for. Before you say that they would be used for trading, bear in mind that ammo synths are easy to come by, and have no real value, secondly I would suggest a limit of synths being able to dropped at one time, over the course of a day or how many given to one person, and I would also suggest having a limit that one person can receive from another in a day/week.

6 AntwortenThe game just doesn't support a decent way to do trading, so let's say you went with this, here are 3 problems that could come up 1) you open a chest in a raid and get a cool exotic, exciting! Except now the raid leader is threatening to kick you because he wants you to give it to him 2 ) you are in a raid and you get an exotic but instead of people wanting to take it now they want you to pass it around so they all unlock it in there collection, now all exotics are to be passed around just as a thing people do now, suddenly exotics have no meaning as most players finish there collection in no time and once again you pass it to someone they just take off with it 3) once again raid, this time any raid legendarys that are supposed to be rare and mystical well now it's not, players start taking raid legendarys as a cost for carrying. guilds make alt accounts and start doing runs where they have 5 people running it on alts and then giving all the loot to 1 guy Destiny just isn't made for trading, the gains are so outweighed by the abuses and it would have to be made so very limited it doesn't even matter anymore. You could apply the alt thing to night falls to, if it is something worth trading people will abuse it.
-
At this point in the game IDK why trading would matter one way or another i always have 200 marks because there is NOTHING worth buying anymore would I use those marks to give a new player a piece of gear? YES Would I care if someone who just started got same gear as me me without the grind? NO I already put in alot of time and had fun doing it so adding trading wouldn't bother me if they add it or never add it.
-
no. but if there was it should only be gear collected while in that fireteam. like the division. and even then that made boosting easy. I didn't read all of your post because it looked terrible. but no
-
Yes, give trading a try with a limit you can trade each week for each weapon and armour set :)
-
1 AntwortenI think one of the most important points would be how the community already treats the game. I bet you've seen the posts and sites where you can pay for a Flawless carry. Now, you can buy my sleeper at 385 for 50 bucks. I can simply pull a new one from the wall and make money with the existing formula.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von str8 up hemi: 10/18/2016 9:36:44 PMI like the idea, but agree with the others, it should drop at 3 light and require infusion. It did work well in the division. Unfortunately, that was only good thing about it after a month lol I would leave exotics out of the pool for the sake of RNG and people completing collections without grinding for it. Legendary items, this would be good.
-
2 AntwortenThe game has already been made a piece of p&@( to rank, the last thing we need is even quicker levelling! To go from 335 to 385 should take 6 months not 6 days Plus the division didn't last long everyone on my list that strayed to it came back after a week or two
-
The awards system in this game is already way too easy. Everyone will be complaining about not enough content by the end of next week as it is. There is not enough of a challenge and you want it made easier good job bud.
-
At this point Destiny has been downgraded so hard into Hello Kitty Adventures. So why not. It's already dead.
-
It will never happen until Trump gets rid of NAFTA
-
If they absolutely must add trading, it should only be for little things like shaders and emblems, and ones awarded from raids/trials/other high end activities can't be traded.
-
3 AntwortenNO!!! Because scrubs will have the gear I worked so hard for praying to RNGesus. In all seriousness trading needed to be a thing from the start, it's not like the game is hard, it's actually really easy. But the kids will complain and it was left out plus now with pay to win(eververse) it wouldn't be a nice decision for Activision's wallet.
-
No if people could trade what ever for raid gear then scrubs would never do the raid like get good. But if you could trade items with people you did the raid with then that would be cool
-
They have already casualified this game enough, no more please.
-
Or better yet lets say it is either 10 below or at the receivers LL it is random.with a really really chance at being 5 LL higher, note it an not go above 400, and each account is limited to what 3 trades per week?
-
I said yes because like Help I'm Dying said they could drop at 3 light but I think there should also be a trade screen like Borderlands 2, but you could only trade items of equal value, exotic for exotic, legendary for legendary ect.
The Division did a pretty good job with trading and I could see this implemented into Destiny
I disagree that Massive did a 'pretty good job' at implementing trading in TD. What they did was simply make it so other people in your group can pick up things dropped on the ground. That's not trading in the true sense of trading. In the typical Massive way of doing things with TD - their implementation of trading was a a knee-jerk reaction to the outcries of their community without thoroughly flushing it out or thinking about how it should work as compared to what the "community" wanted then and now. As for trading in Destiny as a whole - I have got to go with No. Most of my reasons have already been covered by others in this thread and so I won't rehash what has already been stated. Keep in mind that Bungie has said that they have no plans nor do they want to implement trading in Destiny.

I've always thought "gifting" should be a thing, but limited to maybe once per week per account... I would also like to see gambling introduced into private matches... But the T rating probably prevents it...

I voted no. The main reason: there is simply not enough content to justify trading. Destiny is built on grinding and RNG. Trading would negate this, so Bungie is against it. Also, why do a lot of people play? To get that perfect item, so this would negate that as well if they could just trade for it. It would also monetize Destiny even more, which is against the terms of service. When I say there isn't enough content...how many exotics are there, grand total? If I had to guess 70ish, if that. Now how many are worthwhile? How many are locked to a certain class if a person only has one? That number keeps getting smaller and smaller. A game that had a good amount of content and trading? Anyone ever play Diablo 2?
