I just now got around to doing something with the Curious Tramsceiver, and found out what the reward is for completing the quest. With the new RoI update, and the fact I'm not huge on fusion rifles, is it worth the work or should I just abandon the quest? Because it's a decent bit of time to do all that. I got the core last night but still have to get all the little module thingies from the warsat events and then turn it in to Banshee. Go for it or naw?

1 AntwortenIt's nowhere as long as the exotic sword quest, thorn year one quest, and NOWHERE EVEN CLOSE to touch of malice.
-
Not really. If you're bored and you don't know what to do with yourself, I guess its something to do, but it's not a game-changer the way G-horn was in Y1. In Destiny Post-TTK, there isn't such a thing as a "gamechanging weapon."

I've been having fun with it with solar burn on. One blast will kill a shielded major usually too.
-
I would have to say it is the most damage on a heavy level you can do on a boss. Might be wrong, but probably not. With Warlock armor to carry more heavy it will carry 12 rounds.
-
Of course it's worth it! With a debut, this thing can do MASSIVE damage! Even without a rebuff, the damage is insane.
-
Definitely worth it. Calling it a Fusion Rifle is misleading, this thing is a hulking laser cannon.

Yes get it
-
2 AntwortenWorth using? No. Worthy of a place in the vault? Yes.

It's better than gjallarhorn. I think a little less damage than raze lighter but it's sniper range makes up for it

It was back when it was discovered.
-QA Test Engineer (a.k.a. AR IS4 NUBS)
5 AntwortenGet it, it's one of the highest dps weapons for WotM along with raze lighter and dark drinker.
-
I'd say yes, though I seldom use it.
-
1 AntwortenHell yeah go for it, it's totally worth it!

With recent work done on the weapon in the raid done by Datto, the Sleeper is a good Damage gun in the new raid. Here is the video where he puts Ghorn and Sleeper against one another: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ON__V_HYGWE

that's what the whole game is about. getting quests for exotic weapons and skating aliens with them. go for it. it's a nice weapon. solar fusion sniper rifle

Go for it 👍

1 AntwortenYes. Its it a game-breaking God weapon? No. None of the game's weapons are that OP anymore. But it IS one of the very best weapons in the game in terms of doing precision burst damage to a high-value, single target. Unlike Black Spindle which requires you to remain exposed while you pour a succession of headshots into a target, Sleeper allows you to pop out of cover.....line up and fire that single precision shot...then go right back into cover.
-
7 AntwortenIt's not really a fusion rifle, more like a charge cannon since it goes in your Heavy slot. It's great for single targets where as the Gjally is great for groups. Sleeper is worth it imo especially for raids and strikes.
-
1 AntwortenIts just a bunch of thumb wiggling... Not hard work. ;) Do you want it?
-
I use my sleeper generously. If you're using the generic heavy ammo carry perks, you'll get 12 shots vs 7 from gjallarhorn. It does the single target damage, which is fantastic for bosses. I used it during war priest in all of year 2, and have used it in the raid pretty exclusively so far (will be going to dark drinker for aksis though)

6 AntwortenIt's really up to you. Never really had much use for it other than to have it in my vault of shame. As far as RoI the raid is either Ghorn for most encounters and exotic swords, void in particular for the final boss fight. If it wasn't so unstable and had better sights I might use it when there is solar burn for nightfall or heroic strikes but that's about it. That weapon depends on getting crits to get good damage so if you're good with it then it's worth equipping.
