Of course cheaters are going to be against this post, just something to think about!
I don't know how many cheaters I've reported this Iron Banner!
EDIT 1: 274 posts! Keep them coming so Bungie will see this thread!
Edit 2: We're Trending people! Over 400 likes! Over 600 replies! Keep the pressure on and TURN UP THE HEAT! OH YEEAH! We can force Bungie to comply if we unify together! The more people, the better! :D
Keep it civil people so we can't be shut down!
Mods, leave this Thread alone! This IS Destiny business!
EDIT 3: Okay, there's over 800 likes and there's over 1400 replies! Dynamite!
Keep up the pressure people! Share those experiences with everyone else on this thread! Remember, you are NOT alone! Don't be shy!
We all are seeing what's going on or what's not going on with banning the cheaters!
Also, expect Bungie representative/s of some sort to give some dribble drabble about how they ban cheaters, blah blah blah. You know how they do to try to shut people up from saying too much to rock the boat!
EDIT 4: I'm at work right now (on break) and I was thinking, doesn't Lag slow a player down? I know Lag doesn't speed you up!
So for those who have stated about red barring is all Lag and not cheating, then why aren't the gamers who are Lagging walking instead of running in the Crucible? I have experienced Lag myself and it's pretty unplayable.
I remember playing Star Trek Armada 1 and 2, I think those games were by Activision, what are the chances? Anyway, when there was too much activity going on you would Lag. It was very slow! It didn't go fast at all!
So, if all these players aren't cheating, but Lagging, then how are they going Faster than green bar players? They can't!
EDIT 5: I better post this, just to be safe! NO NAME SHAMING! Whew! Well, my butt's covered!
I can't allow this thread to be taken down for any reason or excuse!
EDIT 6: Almost 2000 replies! Bungie can't ignore us forever, at least I hope not! We're on a Roll!
EDIT 7: We're doing great in getting the word out to the community, we're not alone in seeing and experiencing odd stuff in the Crucible!

Doesn't Bungie work off of a client side server? Like as in, they use the strongest player's router to create a temporary server and have everyone connect there. And doesn't Bungie work off of a SBMM? So if you mix both of those, you'll be getting people from across the planet that'll connect to you, so all of those "red bar warriors" are just people who live further away than the host would like it. I understand that there are cheaters in the crucible, but not as many as you think.
INB4 "reported for cheating"
41 AntwortenStop complaining. Just get better at playing and don't suck.

3 AntwortenI'm curious as to how you determine that someone is cheating? Historically in Bungie games, cheating takes the form of DDOS attacks against an opponent's IP address. If you've been kicked from the game and subsequently had your internet connection disrupted for a period of time, you may have been the victim of network manipulation. Outside of that, you may have been a victim to Bungie's relaxed policy towards bad latency... That is, the invincible red bar warrior. Frustrating, but is it cheating? I ran into a couple over the course of the weekend. Sometimes it was taking three guys two shotgun shots each to bring them down even if they weren't moving much. The telling kill confirmed sound coming around 3-4 seconds after they finally fell. I'm not sure what the answer is moving forward for Destiny 2. Perhaps dedicated servers, but with that I'm sure there are probably other issues to deal with.

1 AntwortenAny word from bungie on this topic?
-
6 AntwortenSigned... Also after reading some of the comments posted on here the last couple of days it's clear that some people know that they red bar regularly and they basically don't care... In my opinion they are every bit as bad as people who deliberately manipulate their connection to gain an advantage. I'm sick of seeing the same old excuses... "This is the best connection speed I can get in my area" or "I have lot's of people using various devices in my household while I'm playing destiny"... So basically everybody who doesn't live in the boonies or who doesn't have half a dozen people sharing the same crappy wifi connection should suffer for your pathetic excuse for an internet connection? There should be some kind of ping test during matchmaking for every crucible match and all the people with substandard connections should be matched up together.. Problem solved.

Don't know if it's players cheating or bungie cheating us but why do they still allow connections to drop from green to red, without any penalty to red bar player?
-
2 AntwortenThat's why I would never play a seriously competetive mode like Trials in Destiny. I'm fine with Iron Banner from time to time as you don't have to take that really seriously. But for a true competitive mode this game has two major problems: 1. Bungie's policy regarding cheaters is way too whimpy. 2. Destiny's servers are too bad. I often have a yellow or red bar and I never, NEVER have connectivity issues in any other game. Sorry guys, I love to play PvE and private matches in Destiny but for a truely competetive experience I play Overwatch.

I agree with alot of people here. They will not do anything about it. What's the penalty, 1 week no PVP. AFTER they get their rewards. That's if they do anything at all. They report they penalize these people but I highly doubt it. I know it doesn't do anything to deter others from cheating, that's for sure. JMO

Signed, but they don't care.

Bump. Not that Bungie will respond though.

2 AntwortenCan I just mention how unfair it is when you have to wait a few seconds on the spot where a crest drops just to pick it up because the dude is lagging.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von ghostx78x: 10/10/2016 11:47:00 AMI watched a streamer get ddosed on Twitch yesterday. After a few minutes his Internet was back up and he began streaming again. He looked up their names on trials report and every win they had was before 5 rounds because they would just boot the whole enemy team. Problem with the Bungie system of reporting is that once you're kicked out of the game, there isn't a way to report it. So obvious, it's stupid.

4 AntwortenSigned. Every time a red bar is in my game they win the match for their team. I'm leaving a match every time I see a red bar in future.
-
1 AntwortenReally if you don't have a problem with it you're just blind/ignorant.
-
1 AntwortenLot less than usual, prolly a coincidence cause we know bungie didn't do anything. Over weekend, seemed a lot of ddosing ( spelling) was going on though, especially from the fireteams. On several occasions the rando team was starting out 20 or better behind, mid match about even, around end were ahead; whoever was at top of team( I pay attention) at that point, would be last on the final tally with 0 or barely anything, and I got this several times being the leader at that time. One match in particular, we came back from 40 or so down, I had 33 kills and the crests to go with, we still won( after I was black screened for almost 5 minutes just listening, final board showed me 2 kills and no crests. Cheaters are the lowest, poor losers in game. Bungie knows who they are, I'm sure they are repeat offenders more then not. Bungie needs to handle that, and to fix MM to pit fireteam against fireteam and let them cheat each other, instead of the good guardians in game just trying to have fun

Bearbeitet von SolarCerberuS: 10/11/2016 10:34:20 PMBiggest problem is majority you think were cheating probably were not. I saw more red bars this IB than any previous but I put it down to the poor P2P setup that destiny has combined with the Rise of Iron first Iron Banners higher population density (than normal) you can have the fastest most stable connection but if the hosts connection drops or is unstable your internet speeds mean diddly squat. They would look at those reported over a number of games not just the one in which they were reported to determine if they were manipulating the network for an advantage.

Bumpity Bump

i feel like if people have such horrible connection that when i shoot them in supremacy, i can't even pick up their crest, we have a lag problem.
-
2 AntwortenNo i dont think bungie is doing enough about cheaters. They should swing the ban hammer more without a doubt. On another note i personally believe that people that know they have a bad connection and continue to play should be put into the same bracket. I have a friend who has a terrible connection to the point that he couldn't finish oryx for months because the raid would turn into a massive shit filled lag fest. But he will happily go flawless in trials every weekend with no regard for the rest of the community. Ive confronted him about it and all he says is "-blam!- them. They should get good". Yeah righto buddy. Keep licking bus windows mister lagger.
