Sooo is anyone else out there NOT hating this Iron Banner?
I see a lot of posts on Reddit and on YouTube about people spitting hot acid about this Iron Banner...but I'm not gonna lie, I've been LOVING it. I like the fluidity of matches because there are no set objective points (if the crests are the objective, everyone has to stay mobile to find/collect/deny them), the tactical coordination that has to happen between you and your team in order to get kills and then score crests, and most of all, the use of PRIMARY WEAPONS IN GUN FIGHTS. I can't remember a time in PVP where primaries have been so prevalent, having to use them to close the gap and pick up crests.
And yes, I know there are a lot more shotgunners with this IB, but that just makes sense for this game type. Because of the fast and mobile nature of supremacy, it just doesn't make sense to hang back and snipe, because the crests just sit there while you walk 500 miles to pick it up, or hope you have a teammate nearby to get it for you. BUT, my friends and I have also been having success using sidearms AND fusion rifles in the secondary slot to counter shottys. In terms of variety, I've quite literally never played the same game of supremacy twice. I've stayed in lobbies with teams to keep playing against each other and the match results vary from game to game, which I think is great. And obviously the loot drops are ridiculous, which is frankly just the cherry on top.
Bottom line, I feel like this is a great Iron Banner iteration. If you're complaining about the lack of sniping ability, it might be because this really isn't the game mode for the slower, more conservative and STRATEGIC play style that tends to come with sniping. It's fast, TACTICAL, and just a little bit chaotic, which equates, in my opinion, to what a video game pvp arena should be: fun. as. hell.
Good on you, Bungie.
TL;DR- People are hating on this IB cause they can't snipe, I'm loving this Iron Banner because you can literally use any other gun and have success. It's nice to have a Banner roll through that's not all sniper glints across the lanes all day. Learn to switch it up and enjoy yourselves, Guardians.

When people say "it makes sense to use a shotgun for this game mode". That doesn't help the people that hate shotguns because bungie made a game mode just go shotguns [spoiler]bungo why u do dis[/spoiler]

I despise Supremacy, but I got an Unbent Tree with Perfect Balance and Counter Balance. I'm happy.

I'm with you. Yes the excessive amount of shotguns is annoying but does make sense. Supremacy in general seems to be hit or miss in the player base, some love it some hate it. Me personally I love it, I'm not much of a pvp player, so I tend to get frustrated when I do play some crucible or IB, but with this match type I feel like I found my niche in pvp. I've never done so well in an iron banner, took me maybe a day each to hit rank 5 on two characters, and got some great loot too, LOVE the unbent tree

In my opinion it's the easiest IB yet to hit rank 5 on all 3 toons. Also likely the iron banner with the most post match rewards. Love the fact the weekly bounties gets completed if you just play; You don't have to concentrate on things that might defer you from the objective. Supremacy is fun with a full fireteam but due to the high level of coordination (similar to Rift) it can be a challenge when flying solo. On the whole Def not hating it.

1 AntwortenIt was hit and miss for me. Lots of flailing. Some moments of decent. LOTS of loot. Still came across hard scopes from time to time. Overall... Love the loot but the slop fest that is supremacy? Meh.

This has been the worst iron banner yet. Supremacy is 90% matador or party crashed shotguns with insane range. You can say it's not but through leveling 3 characters to rank 5 I can confirm is it. To sum it up I was using the new raid shotgun and having a miserable time, but I found a party crashed in my vault I never remembered getting with basically no insane range perks. Equipped it and leveled it up and it was insane the difference it made in that game type. I will not iron banner next time if it's supremacy. The ttk is too long in destiny to make this game type anything but shotguns and other insta kill guns.

I really enjoy the gameplay of supremacy and I've been VERY happy with the rewards (both post-game loot and the bounties/ranking up). When the groups are solid, it's an intense flurry of gameplay. I love the energy and the non-stop action. I haven't even come across too many crappy connections (besides one particular guardian who would only take damage a solid 1.5 seconds after I died haha) The only problem I've come across is that 2 out of every 3 matches I'm in is super inbalanced. 150-75 matches are not uncommon. I don't mind the occasional decimation of my enemy, and tbh I don't even mind getting stomped on every now and then, but the point of IB is competition, and stacked matches don't feel competitive. Brace yourself, cause I'm gonna say the word [spoiler]skill based matched making[/spoiler] Needs to be more effectively used in IB, being a competative game mode and all. Overall, though, IB was fun and rewarding. What more could you ask for?

I enjoy playing IB supremacy, but the loot drops at the end of most matches were disappointing, this grinding is a pain in the a$$ :-/

But the matches aren't fluid, they force one playstyle and one type of weapon.

2 AntwortenThis game mode is made for people who like to run around with high powered shotguns thinking they are highly skilled.... Reduce special ammo like heavy ammo and this game would be turned on its head! Just think, people would have to use the "primary" slot for once! OMFG!

Lol I'm hating on this IB because 90% of the time my team can't pick up a crest, or 99.9% of the time I'm getting shotgunned. It gets annoying.

I like Iron Banner Supremacy, and the loot system. Supremacy is really fun. I know all the shotguns but I kept my distance.

This is the first Iron Banner I'm participating in because i really like the rewards. I almost have all my characters at rank 5. Generally i stay away from the Crucible because i don't like the gameplay, and my experience so far has only reinforced my opinion.

1 AntwortenI enjoyed it, and I didn't even get particularly good loot. Like most I wanted the scout and pulse, but had to settle for a really nice roll on the auto and side arm. I'm still grinding for 386+ artefacts even after getting all 3 characters to rank 5.

I actually really liked this Iron Banner. It was easy to reach rank 5 , getting gear and weapons for bounties was nice too and the loot system was pretty generous.

2 AntwortenThis was my first iron banner since I came back to Destiny. I had a blast. Got all the armor, plenty of guns (I did get 4 ARs >.>), and handled shotgun trolls with a trespasser I got from my first match. I hope supremacy stays around. It was fun.

....One thing I hope for more then anything at this point. More then balanced teams, weapons, and good connections, is that Bungie will add an option to shut Shaxx the hell up. >.> I am so tired of hearing a guy that most likely hasnt left the tower in centuries give me crap over the problems I listed before. Not to mention all of his announcements are unneeded based on the simple fact of its all on the screen and I can read. 0o0

Edit: soooo many fu[b][/b]ckin' shotgun loot drops. How about a fu[b][/b]ckin' hand cannon for once?

The lag has been unreal! Red bars on top of the leaderboards in every match.

I think they got the bounties spot on this time and hope they keep this format. Found myself a lot more relaxed playing and a lot less rage than I normally do. The fact you get gear just for completing bounties and the legandary marks on top. As a lower skilled pvp player it took 4 hours for rank 5 on first character then 2 hours on second all round I think it's the best iron banner so far

I did enjoy this iron banner more then the others. The game is just down right fun, and fast paced. The only issue I have with it however, is the fact that I kept getting the same guns over and over and have no chance now to get the other weapons. Four weekly bounties and nothing else? Great for ranking up fast.. but when the drop system screws you over.. yeah, shitty.. I feel there should be daily bounties on offer so you still play the game while IB is up, and have more chances to get all the weapons. And yes, I did play on all three of my characters, hit rank five on all of them, and finished all four bounties.. still got the same guns that I already got, or got dropped in the rewards.. I think if the gun drops in the rewards, it should not drop from packages, that way you are more likely to get all the weapons.
