Sooo is anyone else out there NOT hating this Iron Banner?
I see a lot of posts on Reddit and on YouTube about people spitting hot acid about this Iron Banner...but I'm not gonna lie, I've been LOVING it. I like the fluidity of matches because there are no set objective points (if the crests are the objective, everyone has to stay mobile to find/collect/deny them), the tactical coordination that has to happen between you and your team in order to get kills and then score crests, and most of all, the use of PRIMARY WEAPONS IN GUN FIGHTS. I can't remember a time in PVP where primaries have been so prevalent, having to use them to close the gap and pick up crests.
And yes, I know there are a lot more shotgunners with this IB, but that just makes sense for this game type. Because of the fast and mobile nature of supremacy, it just doesn't make sense to hang back and snipe, because the crests just sit there while you walk 500 miles to pick it up, or hope you have a teammate nearby to get it for you. BUT, my friends and I have also been having success using sidearms AND fusion rifles in the secondary slot to counter shottys. In terms of variety, I've quite literally never played the same game of supremacy twice. I've stayed in lobbies with teams to keep playing against each other and the match results vary from game to game, which I think is great. And obviously the loot drops are ridiculous, which is frankly just the cherry on top.
Bottom line, I feel like this is a great Iron Banner iteration. If you're complaining about the lack of sniping ability, it might be because this really isn't the game mode for the slower, more conservative and STRATEGIC play style that tends to come with sniping. It's fast, TACTICAL, and just a little bit chaotic, which equates, in my opinion, to what a video game pvp arena should be: fun. as. hell.
Good on you, Bungie.
TL;DR- People are hating on this IB cause they can't snipe, I'm loving this Iron Banner because you can literally use any other gun and have success. It's nice to have a Banner roll through that's not all sniper glints across the lanes all day. Learn to switch it up and enjoy yourselves, Guardians.

Absolutely loved it. The playlist forces people to engage each other instead of just sniping from a distance. And it also helps when most people don't know how to play control or just can't kill anyone in clash. With supremacy it's not a point until someone grabs the crest. Great drops too. Stopped doing the raid and got higher light in hours.

I only hate it because of the shotguns.... Aw jeez, I got cancer just by saying that. The amount of shotguns is ridiculous.

I'm really enjoying it. My favorite loadout is pulse, shotgun, machine gun on a sunbreaker. Seems to fit this mode pretty well. Also using the same loadout, only with a scout instead of pulse on my bladedancer with bones. CQC on a bladedancer with high-control double jumps is just one of the most satisfying things I've experienced in Destiny.

4 AntwortenI'm infuriated by the rewards i got from the Iron Banner bounties. On all 3 of my characters i got fusion rifles except for one machine gun. Anyone else got treated like me ?

I hated it at first, I play solo and hadn't played but 1 or 2 matches of Supremacy before. I was getting my ass handed to me until I made some adjustments to my play style (and yes, I know I'm hella average to begin with), and still have a few bad games, but I started to have fun after a while.

Rewards are ok, mode is terrible. Laggy and boring after a few matches.

I had a ton of fun, got all my guys to rank 5 relatively quick and I also actually enjoy supremacy as a game mode. And the weapon drops I got were all pretty solid.

Im mostly enjoying it, except for the fact that 3 hand cannons and no pulse rifle :(

I can't remember a time in PVP where primaries have been so prevalent, having to use them to close the gap and pick up crests" There is no "primary" gun fights (most of the times,tbo).This IB is a shotgun "primary" fest with some exeptions of people either using a sidearm/fusion or in a very rare occasion a sniper (propably because they dont play the objective of the game and are just farming KD). Add to that how easy it is to get to level 5 (even if you average a 0.01 kd ratio) and level up your light and we can understand why this IB is this way. They made a pvp mode/map to fit the new meta (aka shotguns) and made it easy enough for everyone to farm (if they needed) for their light. Shotgunners are having a great time,snipers are most propably moaning and people (like me) who like to use primaries more than anything else in the game are still thinking "PRIMARIES NEED A BUFF".

I loved this IB, I normally do use a sniper in crucible, but this time I get the shotgun out and had a blast. Most fun I've had in ages, and when I had me friends in as a full fireteam it was really great, a little co-ordination really does go a long way in Supremacy. I might even become what I always hated, a sliding shotgunner!

It was great. Got all my characters to level 5 by the next day. Easy as hell.

It's been great, I tried out the trespasser for the first time and I've been using different setups of weapons and subclasses and I'm pretty sure all my characters are above 360 now, my only gripe is that my rank up packages have have mostly the fusion rifle and for me that's just infusion fuel, that and no awesome titan helmet but that's small potatoes completed to the ghost shells and artifacts I got.

I would like to apologize to my fellow guardians for entering the IB with my 330 light level alt guardian. I had a KD of 0.1 - 0.2 and we lost practically every match i was in. I also suck at pvp and i was too lazy to unlock any perks on my gear. It was selfish of me, as i only wanted some loot. Next Iron Banner i promise i will bring him into the IB with a light level of 350.

Apart from the influx of shotguns I really enjoyed. I now have one at the desired level so now I can compete. Jump shotgun jump shotgun jump shotgun appears to be the technique employed

I think it's been the best iron banner. I hit level 5 on all characters by Thursday and I've still being playing it constantly. It's by far the best way to level up.

I'm neutral I think. I didn't love it; I didn't hate it. I suppose I prefer game modes when a kill means points without closing the gap for a crest. Mainly because I like to play high impact scouts and range games.

Haven't been able to play to much IB, but I've enjoyed what I've played. I like supremacy, if I get matched against a fireteam, when I'm playing solo I just sit back and pick people off while they're all bum rushing each other with shotguns.

Really liked it actually. The rewards are worth my time, if only for the infusions. Usually have below 1.0 KD but at least now its not a waste of time

I enjoyed it. The shotgun primaries are a little annoying. But that's alright. I managed rank 5 on all characters pretty easily. I'm an average player at best..occasionally lol . I dont see why so much hate towards this ib? Doing all the bounties basically gets you to 5 anyways. Get your gear from getting to 5 and play a different mode if you dislike supremacy and this ib. I really like this clever dragon so far. Prefer higher impact pulse but this is nice.

I agree pal. I know many people moan about it but everyone's entitled to their opinion, I told a mate everyone has different tastes and game styles and supremacy is perfect to me. Love the other pvp modes but I get fed up getting killed by a bloody sniper a 1000 yards away.i always wanted a close quarters game and got one.never been a shotgun user but this time I was using one alot.it was fast paced,funny at times when 8 or more guardians piled into eachother with grenades supers etc and you couldn't see a thing until the aftermath after . Great team work most of the time ?. I'm an ok pvp player but as I told others just go in try your best work as a team member and if you lose what the he'll, you get rewarded and light level still climbs.
