Sooo is anyone else out there NOT hating this Iron Banner?
I see a lot of posts on Reddit and on YouTube about people spitting hot acid about this Iron Banner...but I'm not gonna lie, I've been LOVING it. I like the fluidity of matches because there are no set objective points (if the crests are the objective, everyone has to stay mobile to find/collect/deny them), the tactical coordination that has to happen between you and your team in order to get kills and then score crests, and most of all, the use of PRIMARY WEAPONS IN GUN FIGHTS. I can't remember a time in PVP where primaries have been so prevalent, having to use them to close the gap and pick up crests.
And yes, I know there are a lot more shotgunners with this IB, but that just makes sense for this game type. Because of the fast and mobile nature of supremacy, it just doesn't make sense to hang back and snipe, because the crests just sit there while you walk 500 miles to pick it up, or hope you have a teammate nearby to get it for you. BUT, my friends and I have also been having success using sidearms AND fusion rifles in the secondary slot to counter shottys. In terms of variety, I've quite literally never played the same game of supremacy twice. I've stayed in lobbies with teams to keep playing against each other and the match results vary from game to game, which I think is great. And obviously the loot drops are ridiculous, which is frankly just the cherry on top.
Bottom line, I feel like this is a great Iron Banner iteration. If you're complaining about the lack of sniping ability, it might be because this really isn't the game mode for the slower, more conservative and STRATEGIC play style that tends to come with sniping. It's fast, TACTICAL, and just a little bit chaotic, which equates, in my opinion, to what a video game pvp arena should be: fun. as. hell.
Good on you, Bungie.
TL;DR- People are hating on this IB cause they can't snipe, I'm loving this Iron Banner because you can literally use any other gun and have success. It's nice to have a Banner roll through that's not all sniper glints across the lanes all day. Learn to switch it up and enjoy yourselves, Guardians.

2 AntwortenSupremacy is better as a side playlist for every once in awhile to change pace. The constant shotgun fest gets old quick in iron banner. Only worse IB is rift <shudder>

1 AntwortenI absolutely hate PVP since the last weapon "rebalancing". I have never felt so frustrated and handicapped since 2014.... Primary weapons - all rubbish. Secondary - ONLY shotguns.... Heavy - what heavy??? Might as well put toilet paper in that slot, to wipe salty tears of my face.....

1 AntwortenNo. I have personally seen very few primaries being used, just the other team, in a herd with their shotguns out. It's not fun at all. It's just a question of who's shotgun has better range, and who's trigger finger is a tiny bit faster.

1 AntwortenShaxx screaming at me for losing a match is really getting old. Like, you do something, you useless scrublord. Just sitting there in the tower shouting at guardians and giving out auto rifles and shotguns as punishment for failing at your silly game. Not like I need your judgment, Shaxx.

I'm not saying shotguns are op, I'm just saying I dislike that the mode almost forces you to play a certain way

Well, let's begin I hate surpremecy, a a lot. So it brought a tear to my eye that none of the wins wants towards my surpremecy wins in my book. Then came to my realization that they have no further use for the old iron banner area on tower. I was really hoping the expansion would fill that area and make use of it more, but no. Only 4 bounties was a drag. I understand why but it really made it less rewarding as I loved iron banner for getting marks. Gameplay was impartial. I hate surpremecy but the climb to rank 5 was chill. RNG screwed me a lot. Mostly blues or cloaks that were of my light. Did get a really nice rolled BNF with hidden hand, and a near god rolled lingering song with firefly and smallbore. So loot wasn't to bad. I rate this expansions iron banner like 6/10. Pissed me off they ruined it a lot. Happy that the loot is gr8

Many pvp people on Reddit or this forum are those that have High ELO rating. They kind of Trials fans. Average pvp players or casuals love Supremacy..and they are not active on discussion. Supremacy is the best and fun game.

I just hated the lag. It seemed extremely bad for me. Almost to the point that it seemed like people were cheating. But the loot did make up for the extremely bad lag.

The only thing that saved this Iron Banner for me was the loot. I got plenty of it. Of course I didn't get the pulse rifle that I wanted the most, but I am sure I will get it in a future IB right after they nerf it.

Only complaint- I've seen enough sliding shotguns and sliding melees to last me for the rest of the year.

Only thing I think they should do is slightly buff that auto rifle. Its very unstable. Should be called Bent Tree instead. Love the Pulse Rifle similar to Hawksaw, the Scout is nice like Mida. Have the sidearm, haven't tried it. Machine gun is similar to Zombie Apocalypse so decent.

I like it. I can out-shotgun most people I've come up against, so I found getting kills easy. Getting win on the other hand was not.

I didn't mind it. I liked the fast pace of Supremacy. I am kinda looking forward to the more chill control mode. Im getting a little rusty with my snipes...

It's awesome it's aggressive Gameplay but you also need to be tactical and teamwork is key. I did run into a few snipers but I've always been the type of person to pressure them so supremacy is currently my favorite. It's also great to see weapon variety I run with sidearms consistently and vary primary weapons

Apart from the increased loot drops? No absolutely not. The things I have seen and experienced made me think that Bungie should never create another game.

I usually do quite well in iron banner, not great but not bad either. This one has been so -blam!-ing awful for me I wont be playing it again.

Most of the the people who said they like it are not even good at it? What is the catch? How do you like something you are not very good at! I am absolutely trash at this game mode and I freaking hate it! Just use shotgun and jump around and run the whole time is fun?

The only thing I have to complain about is the fact that I reached rank 5 on all 3 characters and never received the pulse rifle or scout rifle and it's impossible to get them from end game rewards so I have to wait till next iron banner for them.

Absolutely loved it. The playlist forces people to engage each other instead of just sniping from a distance. And it also helps when most people don't know how to play control or just can't kill anyone in clash. With supremacy it's not a point until someone grabs the crest. Great drops too. Stopped doing the raid and got higher light in hours.
