TOPIC OF THE THORN.
(Post here if you haven't gotten your quest yet.)
Personally I've done all 4 Shiro on all 3 characters since ROI dropped. + each vanguard every day.
I've done the other 3 exotic quests in the book and this is my last..
And all for a gun that's super garbage and nerfed to nothing. I'm pretty sure the palindrome that he is selling 2 tapped me in crucible yesterday. And it is legendary lolz, the Thorn needs to be reworked
EDIT: 47 shiro hand INS later and I got the jagged Thorn quest to drop. MY QUEST IS OVER. BC THIS IS NOTHING LIKE YEAR ONE QUEST.

4 AntwortenAgreed, it's been nerfed to shit. The DoT tickles you now. Range needs to be buffed back to where it was before the latest nerf and DoT needs to be increased.

2 AntwortenI got it last week, must be totally rng as i hadn't done all the bounties... am 34% on void kills just using special (titan/striker), so be good week or so before thats done.. one thing though is the flag over tower is now gone on titan, but now theres one over iron tower and worse over shiro's head, big purple one, but he has nothing unless i missing something, i'm assuming it is related to thorn but little worried as i have not seen anyone else post saying it... icon over tower is still there for lock and hunter and nothing over shiro's head for them.. it must be thorn ?

3 AntwortenI have it and I'm gonna be honest, the current state of Thorn is pitiful compared to its glory days. (Or reign of terror, depending on who you ask) It takes 2 headshots and a body shot to kill them with poison, as opposed to the previous 2 body shots. But I'm fine with it not being OP anymore.

1 AntwortenI got mine the other day and sadly, its a shell of its former self. Other than to say you have it, its useless in pvp imo. There are at least 5 other hand cannons that poop all over it.

I use the thorn to bing back the good old days when crucible was fun and every gun was good. Now once a YouTube/streamer finds the "best" gun then everyone goes and gets it till it's overused then it is nerfed and the process is repeated. It's truly sad that this game has gotten to the point of people relying on others for pointers on how to get good. It's a game and should be played to have fun.

Just got mine today. That's all 3 bounties on all 3 characters for 2 weeks. Plus the 2 I did today to get it. [spoiler]at least it's not as bad as the original quest..... Yet[/spoiler]

Thorn is probably the best exotic to use in rumble or 3v3, especially in sweats. And don't expect it so soon, it's all rng. It might take a while, it won't just be handed to you.

3 AntwortenTwo headshots one body shot should be instant death One headshot two body shots should be death from dot, 4 body shots should be death from dot Dot should last longer but tic slower, as in it should take atleast 3 full seconds to die from dot assuming the first 3 shots are landed in rapid succession. Dot should stack for every bullet placed. Dot goes away if you kill the thorn user.
