Should players that have already been flawless during the release of trials, be sent into a different playlist of other flawless players? So on every weekend when trials comes out, you will be reseted and once you win 9-0 to become flawless. You will be sent into a playlist of other flawless players. What are your thoughts?

Easy If you have been to the lighthouse once that week you should be allowed to continue to play without being booted to a new playlist You should be able to get carry on playing but not get any rewards If one person on a team has already been to the lighthouse that week then no one will get any rewards (including grimoire and emblems) That will stop all but the true trolls from playing all the time and will stop carries

How about a tiered system? U reach tier one - trials. Your rewarded and u can no longer play that tier. But u can go to the next tier - more rewards And so on. An emblem for reaching top tier. That way nooby scrubs like myself get to work our way up the ladder playing lesser ability player's. Yes people who attempt it later will still slay your ass, but in theory the elite should be well gone and be in higher tiers. Also those highly skilled individuals will get more enjoyment playing equally skilled opponents, rather than -blam!- me lol Of course you'd have to improve to get to higher tiers Just a thought

41 AntwortenBearbeitet von Sideswipe: 10/6/2016 1:01:01 AMTrials, by definition, is broken. There is no argument that logically supports it's current format.
But Trials is for the PvP elite, not scrubs!
Uh, then why are scrubs allowed in? Cannon Fodder.
Why do you suppose Bungie allowed the Gold Bounty to be farmed once per day with the April Update? The cannon fodder left and/or did their bounties and stopped, leaving only the elite.

Trials is supposed to be difficult, not just for anyone to make it to the lighthouse without trying
This is said by the Elite, who feed on the weaker. If it's supposed to hard, why are the elite not playing people at or above their own skill level?
Because they wouldn't be guaranteed the lighthouse every week like they're used to.
And who says playing people of my own is easy? It's not. It's just as difficult as elite vs elite.
The Lighthouse must be earned, not just handed out...
Soooo, it's appalling if Trials had brackets and average Joe got to the lighthouse playing other average Joes, but it's perfectly acceptable, even encouraged, to find someone or two to carry a "not gud" player there?
It's Conpetitive PvP, it should be anyone against anyone
Trials is supposed to be competitive, yet it's typically not. And yet, every other competitive league has been separated in some way based on skill for ages. *Men don't play Women *You wouldn't pit 1st graders against 8th would you? *Jr Varsity never plays Varsity (except maybe in scrimmages) *High School doesn't play College. Hell, even high schools have divisions based on last year's win/loss record to maintain competitiveness. *Even College has Division 1, 2, and 3. And each of these separate entities has their own playoffs and championship games. So why should PvP be given an exemption?
Trials is PvP Endgame, it should be hard...
Okay. Fair enough. But what PvE endgame? Oh, wait, there's 2 difficulty modes! Normal mode basically holds your hand and typically reduces the mechanics, yields fewer yellow bar enemies (if any), and allows revives. It's only logical they both get the same treatment? But what about Elimination you say? That's the equivalent of Normal raid difficulty. Yes and no. While, yes, it's great for practicing, especially when Trials isn't active, but Normal Raid offers rewards worthy of their effort. Elimination does not. It's yields the same drop rate as normal crucible. As you can see, these are all self-serving reasons to maintain a broken system. At the end of the day, it's JUST A VIDEO GAME, not real life. So why this push back to keep people from actually enjoying a game mode made available to all? I'm all for practicing and "gitting gud", but at the end of the day, I shouldn't have to be Top 20% or beg said 20% to earn loot in a video game mode. My solution is to have 2 tiers - Top Third and Bottom Two Thirds. Plenty of room at the top to avoid long wait times and laggy games. Plenty of room on the lower for player growth as a stepping stone towards the big boy league. Yet not so unattainable that people won't get an actual sense of accomplishment while they do show improvement. Having 2 tiers also allows for friends to play with each other without much worry about the competition be too much for that one guy who's fun but sucks at PvP. Top Tier rewards would be emblems and Shaders unique to that tier. Armor would be top quality and could offer a good chance at T12 gear with generic perks such as "More Ammo for Heavy weapons" instead of just RL or LMG. Winged gear would remain as prizes for 5 and 7 wins. Tier 2 would offer Winged Gear for flawless, with a slight chance for T12, but still only have specific ammo perks such as "more Ammo for snipers". Flawless in this tier could perhaps only allow the victors to view the cutscene of lighthouse, not actually go in, so the big boys still keep their "trophy" and bragging rights. This tier would also have its own unique Shaders and emblems. Blighted gear would be the rewards for 5 and 7 wins. Weapons if course could have color differentials and even an intrinsic perk for the Adept versions (perhaps even higher chances at certain perks such as counterbalance on the ARs).

Players who have been flawless week X should be sent to a different matchmaking for the remainder of that week. Quick Example: You go flawless on 1 character, for the remainder of that weekend, any fireteam you are in will be qeued vs others who have been flawless that weekend. My personal opinion on trials, is that carries ruin the worth of any of the rewards. If 2 people can carry 100 people who aren't experienced enough to get there in their own, that's 100 more people that are dragging down the worth of those rewards. Since year 1, flawless emblems have meant nothing.

18 AntwortenTrials Logic:
Flawless Trials should be hard work and reward skilled players.
Why not change Trials so there is an elite tier for highly skilled players?
Booo, that would make it easier for casuals!
But then you'd be able to show off that you're a highly skilled player?!
No!
No, because my trophies earned with skill will become moot.

223 AntwortenIt's not a bad idea, but a lot of flawless or try hards will say you should just get better and it shouldn't be made easier. What's funny is that in saying that they are admitting to being afraid of playing only other flawless try hards, instead of up and comers or the less skilled. The thing about hardcore competition like trials is its a festering hole for the try hard pub stomping douchebags who's primary goal is to stop players from getting flawless because they enjoy being dicks. Link a lot of online competitive multi-player attitudes the idea of shitting on a competitor goes beyond sportsmanship and into childish I'm better than you antics. Of course they'll defend to their dying breath that it should be all about competition but we all know despite whatever elo or skill based matchmaking system that exists you will see lower skilled players against much higher ones and more often than not have no chance at succeeding and while it is the nature of competition and the idea of getting better stands there's no reason you couldn't separate the two more. Having gone flawless there's no reason to keep going other than A: to compete against better players to sharpen your skills and prove your worth. B: to stop other players from reaching the goal themselves. The second option is that selfish childish attitude of elitism that is the cancer that is most crucible and why I don't bother it's not worth it. The first option is something that would fit well with separating flawless players into their own list but like I said, most of these kids are too scared to compete against equal level when they can feel big about stomping the lower skilled. Granted I have never and will never play trials and my crucible play is done for only quest or leveling requirements so maybe my opinion is moot. Point is, it's a game and everyone should have an equal opportunity to achieve the goal even if they are less skilled. Arrogance and elitism in online gaming will never allow such things cause if you actually had to face the best to go flawless a lot less people would be going to mercury.

125 AntwortenThese arguments are based off of, "Get good", "Play more and practice more" There are people who have made IB rank 5 already. Some of us work for a living and are casual gamers. We take showers and don't stream wearing the same clothes all weekend. I love the "You don't deserve the LH" comments. Anyone that uses "deserve" in a video game has never been laid. Have a great night! :-P

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von SlyBlueCat: 10/10/2016 8:44:29 PMTheir is a player on the forum now called Real Synergy also going by Swayn giving carries to lighthouse. He is stealing money and defrauding players. He doesn't take you to the lighthouse and he gives you a fake gamertag that does not exist. He cashes your Xbox digital card and doesn't get back to you. He is scamming players. BEWARE. Called Xbox live and they reported him and will investigate him. They even mentioned a ban. Please don't give your money away stupidly like I did. They make free money off of stupid decisions, just hoping to enjoy things in this game that I will never get on my own.

Majority of my issue with trials isn't even facing better people. It's the heavy reliance on camping with special weapons. Most (not all) "good" players would be trash if they had to use a BASE primary (UR and NLB excluded). I wouldn't mind dying over and over to primaries. I stand a better chance in primary vs. primary gunfights. I'm sick of seeing someone round a corner and as I go to ADS I'm immediately sniped in the head, no lens flare. Or I round any and every damn corner on any and every map just to take one to the head. And inb4 "git gud" or "avoid sniper hall" comments: I've slid and jumped around corners that aren't even snipe-prone and still taken one to the head from sweaty campers. You can't do anything to avoid that if all they know how to do is sweat snipes. I'd be infinitely more satisfied with PvP if it was hella more BASE primary-centered.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Powermix24: 10/8/2016 2:04:03 PMtired of seeing 1.80 k/d's with 60+ flawless against us , and they have a 340 carrying him to the lighthouse . That shit is cancer . before u tell me to get gud , why is it that the first 5 matches are decent and the rest are just one sided every time .

Bearbeitet von Szeth6678: 10/8/2016 9:11:46 AMHere's my ideas (there are two): 1) Who you are matched against is based on, say, the average of your fireteam's ELO. If you have a really high ELO and are carrying scrubs, you may start out in lower-ELO, but as you win games, and their ELO goes up, so does that average, and your opponents get harder. That way, you aren't getting stomped by people 10x as good as you are, but neither are you stomping people who are just trying out Trials for the first time. 2) Turn Trials of Osiris into a more fully-fledged ranked PvP system, with the game split into ELO brackets similar to League: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond. You can only play with or against people 1 rank above/below you, and the higher tier brackets (Plat and Diamond) get different colored versions of the Flawless gear and Emblems, to mark their enhanced achievement.

Stats based matchmaking for trials is desperately needed in my opinion. Many can say those with low kd don't deserve to go to the lighthouse. Well flip the coin and those who stomp without challenge don't deserve to go either. Win 7 matches within a set kd with a tolerance of 0.2 to group max kd ensures players have to compete and bloody work for it. Furthermore those who carry friends etc will have to work that little bit harder as hey the other team are at your level now.

So...you want to just take turns going to the Lighthouse?
-
1 AntwortenYes. So much yes. Bungie please let people who go flawless not be able to do trials for the rest of the weekend. And don't let anyone who has completed the raid for the week do it again to help anyone else. People who reach rank 5 in iron banner should be able to go back in. Same goes for the 3 weekly strikes. The daily heroic. The daily crucible. The nightfall. And Outbreak Prime. And I think anyone who has completed a mission on hard or won a certain game mode shouldn't be able to do it again for the rest of the week. See how stupid it sounds? ~Kal

Win some, lose some. Rinse & repeat.

7 AntwortenAnyone who doesn't want this just wants the easy wins. End of story.

I think this is a good idea but then going flawless "again" should also be rewarded tbh else what's the point besides wanking on twitch

Bearbeitet von standto2004: 10/7/2016 6:18:16 PMThe flawless can all circle jerk each other.
in other words let them have their fun. You really don't want to dirty yourself joining in.
-
Well, should a character that's already beaten the raid, not be able to help others that haven't? Although I will say that the first match shouldn't be against a team that has two flawless players that are carrying a third. But it is what it is. Play Trials or don't 😁

3 AntwortenTrials is just around so twitch neckbeards can get donations from squeakers using their parents cards

It would help with all the payed carries but people would just make multiple accounts

38 AntwortenNO! They should not leave. How are players going to get better if they are just playing against guys at their skill level or lower?? I don't understand why this is even a debate. If you want the rewards from the lighthouse, then practice, learn and better yourself to get there. Year one trials I was a .7. Never a chance for the lighthouse, pretty much. I practiced, practiced and practiced again until I got better and now I'm a 1.8 in trials and helping others get to the lighthouse. Play with better players and watch better players. You'll be surprised at how good you can be with just a little bit of that. Now stop whining on the forums, get a team and go practice on communication and gun skill
-
2 AntwortenNo. I'm terrible at trials but even I know that is a bad idea. If you play against players of equal skill, you will never get better. The whole point of trials is to award awesome players not give out loot to everyone. The strong reap the rewards, and the weak are left in the dust.

Limit the number of times you can play trails to 1 passage per character, per day? I don't think there's a solution to the problem
