Don't sleep on warlocks. Warlocks are mostly viewed as unhelpful in raids because all they can do is clear a lot of enemies and self res right?
wrong
Warlocks can add to the dps -blam!- that is tethers and bubbles, but no one I've ever raided with seems to know this. Just put on fusion grenades, touch of flame and Viking funeral. With these perks a fusion grenade does almost as much as a gjallarhorn shot, but wait there's more. Viking funeral causes the boss to take more damage while they are burning and stacks up to 3 times. So basically, what you gotta do is pop that radiance and start chucking fusion grenades, then watch as Aksis starts melting.
To make this even more effective;
1) Use the praxic fire chest and spam those grenades like there is no tomorrow.
2) Max your discipline and spam those grenades like there is no tomorrow
3) Pair with a tether and weapons of light and spam those grenades like there is no tomorrow.
I would recommend still using fire born so that you can self res if needed, but don't hesitate to pop your super when it's dps time.
In conclusion; tether + weapons of light + this = batshit insane dps.

2 AntwortenWhen I first fought Aksis I totally understood why Bungie nerfed Blessings+ToM.

1 AntwortenHow are warlocks unhelpful. Stormcaller is crucial for clearing adds when you're lower level. Self res also makes it so you can take more gambles.

It bugs me that your thread title says "if you are having trouble doing enough damage to aksis don't" Then your thread starts off "don't sleep on warlocks" Shouldn't you drop it to "sleep on warlocks" so that if you read the thread title the body is a continuation of the title? I really don't get why it bugs me so much....

Voidwalker-Annihilate Sunsinger-Solar Grenades For best dps on warlocks

14 AntwortenWho needs warlocks when you got a bubble, tether, gjallarhorn, and a high impact sniper? If they were useful for aksis, then you wouldn't need to try to prove it. But you are.

Bearbeitet von SquattingTurtle: 10/3/2016 7:30:52 PMVF debuff needs to last much longer and needs less perk investment. This build is so highly dependent on perks that it leaves no room for flexibility. HotPF only adds one grenade throw, and since VF means you can't use radiant will, you have an even shorter super. I also can't use sunburst, gift of the sun, and angel of light with this. I absolutely love that they added a pve focused support perk, but it doesn't seem viable.

8 AntwortenBearbeitet von Dobbie: 10/3/2016 5:44:48 PMYou got one thing wrong. Use solar nades with sunbreakers. This allows the grenade to last longer on boss. Which then allows more dps because of the boss debuff. But in the end, the Titan is the best. Your grenades only last as long as your super is going or you just throw 2. Also you lose time to shoot when throwing those nades. If your a titan you pop a weapons bubble with glass house at first teleport and then you get weapons all the way through the last teleport. Now you may say "why not have a warlock?" And I'd tell you that the warlock loses dps in the long run. Because it's one less tether or bubble. So in conclusion 2 nades lasting 10 seconds total vs a bubble and a buff that can last 1:30.
Titan Master Race
4 Antwortenif you cant kill the boss is 3 rotations without bubbles tethers and solar nades you're doing it wrong. non of that is necessary what so ever. use it if like it but its not required. we've killed the boss with all gunslingers in 3 rotations.

Clearing enemies is definitely not a bad thing. Especially not in WotM.

Bearbeitet von Arrg_The_Pirate: 10/3/2016 6:11:04 PM.... You think popping a super and throwing nades is the answer? How about the better choice. While the hunters and Titans have to take time to position themselves and use their supers, the warlocks all start shooting the boss. That way the warlock has extra time to shot the boss which would put their dps among the highest in the group. Oh and keep their supers for when they need them because bungie gave warlocks selfrez because they have a bigger learning curve then the rest of us.

3 AntwortenCurious question. Which does more DPS overall for the duration of Radiance? Solar Grenades with Sunbreakers Or Fusion Grenades with Praxic From my understanding Solar Grenades don't do more than 3 stacks of grenades at a time. So you can have 100 solar grenades there, but the enemy will only take the damage from 3 of them.

Lol Finally there some1 out there

Bearbeitet von Frab6: 10/3/2016 5:54:11 PMPeople didn't do this to begin with? That's how some under level randoms with G-Horn 2 waved, Skorri. I forgot his name but the guy who's name starts with S. #OPGivingWarlocksHopeThatIsNeeded

Can confirm, this is true. My fireteam had a warlock who knew what he was doing and stayed Sunsinger for that specific reason
-
With the teams I have been on, damage has not been the issue, the issue is lack of call outs and poor execution on the third rotation. Keeping the timing crisp.

5 AntwortenI know what I'm doing this weekend. I'm going to beat that jackass and finally get the outbreak quest. It will not be a repeat of Saturday night where me and my raid team got stuck on Aksis for 3 damn hours and didn't even finish.
-
5 AntwortenI recommend three Voidwalkers/Strikers/Gunslingers for knocking out Captains in one shot. A tether is nice. Bubble isn't too helpful since your team isn't stacking in the middle. Honestly, 6 Snipers + Heavy without any buffs is plenty for DPS on boss.
-
3 AntwortenDo they all stack? I know that Sunbreaker melting point does not stack with either tether or weapons (don't remember which one). Are you sure this tactic does? But yes I agree. I have been using this tactic on my warlock the last few runs after a member told me.

Use the robes that give 2 nades, tlaloc and the faster super charge artifact. Save your super so your friends will charge faster, plus you'll have a OP tlaloc to melt ads, and tlaloc has grenadier for extra fusion nade charge time. Super helpful build.

If you're not doing enough damage stop shooting him with your weak primary.... The cannons and swords will absolutely down him... Combo 1 person with Young Wolf Sword with some Dark Drinkers and Raze Lighters and the dps will be great.
-
4 AntwortenSelf Rez is a useless crutch, but this is a good use for sunsinger.
-
2 AntwortenIts not the damage tbh, it is people not knowing the mechanics or not making/following call outs on phase 2. People dying from shanks then blaming other people for pinching too fast on the captain. You can tell within the first 2 minutes if phase 2 is going to be a smooth run or not.

I was using Viking Funeral with another Warlock last night, did work :')
