First off when I say "elitist" I'm not referring to an elite(really good) player. I'm referring to the people who abused the known glitches to obtain light level faster than those of us who chose not to exploit the game and now have themselves on a pedestal above the rest of the players(my former clan as of a couple hours ago included).
Some of us are now stuck not being able to find a raid group just like back in the days of #29forever.
Why am I thanking these elitist Richard Cranium's? Because I have went back to my old ways of dropping light level with crap gear and and I am running Siva strikes to get matched up with low light people and put my good gear(good for me anyway) on and help some low level people who are new or just simply don't have the time some of us do to put into a videogame.
Theo other positive spin is when these same Richard Cranium's are complaining they are bored, some of us won't be and I will have this post to look back to and chuckle.
Those of you that took the same speed level path as the Richard Cranium's and aren't excluding lower light people are what keeps me from becoming an entirely toxic person on the forums. Keep helping those low light people and I will keep doing what I am doing.
This will be the 1st raid in a videogame that i truly have no interest in. It is also the 1st raid I have watched videos of without ever attempting it first. It looks like a lot of fun and due to some of the absurd light requirements I've seen in both the forum and my former clan I have adopted my wife's attitude of "Raids don't interest me".
The only reason I am even irritated is this was the first raid since VoG my wife seemed interested in after we flew in just the 2 if us to see what the beginning was.
She enjoyed VoG,then the beginning pit of Crota completely turned her off from Raids.
With me being the loving husband I am and wanting the wife to have certain things to play other activities with less of a struggle, I was raiding on my account and hers each week. I was really looking forward to actually raiding with her again.
What is really awesome about her is when I got irritated she said" just do what you did when you were stuck at 29 and after the light level goes up when hard mode gets released with the next batch of new players who aren't going to be complete -blam!-ing idiots"
So I say thanks again to all of the elitist Richard Cranium's for sending me back to my relaxed, have fun style of play for awhile
Edit: I don't know why it surprises me at the amount of people that think I'm crying, but it does. It is sad how many didn't actually grasp what I said.
For those of you who did grasp everything I was saying. Congratulations on actually getting what I was saying. Have a nice day

I don't exploit anything. I saved engrams and grinded strikes, not omnibus, but right now I focus on getting as high as I can. Then like when I reached 335 I went back and did level 20 strikes to help out lower light players. I'll probably do the same thing when I reach 385 or so.

If you're on Xbox one, I'll raid with you. I'm only 350, but that's the best I can muster atm.
-
Torch, if you and your wife are interested in doing this raid I'll go through with you man I have no problem helping and I have guys that wouldn't mind doing it either. #29forever

7 AntwortenSorry..not going to carry your ass after I spent around 8 hours the first day figuring out the raid. How is it elitist to request that people have raid experience after I put in the time to learn the mechanics? I'm 387 and I'm going to ask for people of similar light and experience so I can finish the raid in around an hour instead of 4 or 5 hours. Dude...make your own post and put no requirements on lfg - you will get plenty of people like yourself.
-
What system you on ? Honestly I didn't "exploit" anything and I was 358 when the raid released...I make lfg posts all the time asking (not demanding) for people over 365, and frankly that's before I've beaten it...so I ask what system because we can help you with the raid, you and your wife...I'm on Xbox btw

I always know it's gonna be a great post when you see hundreds of replies but 0 upvotes.

Every time I look at the forum there are several teams asking no light levels. This isn't a pandemic. . . yet.

I think the hardest part about finding a group is how dead the forums are at times. Last night my buddy and I rounded up a group of rag tag ruffians who have yet to complete the raid or try it for that matter. He and I were at 365. We had a 353, a 350 and a few in the 360s also. A few knew the mechanics from videos. We made it to the siege engine just messing around. Found the monitors chest and fragments and due to time and lagging we just stopped it there after a few tries. We had a few lineup changes. We had a lot of wipes, but it was fun being able to just go at it leisurely. I wish we were able to finish it and get all the monitors but there is always next week. Just have to keep posting and eventually someone will bite.

3 AntwortenWhilst I absolutely detest elitist requirements of LFG/#Recruitment I also equally detest people using the argument -
Some of us are now stuck not being able to find a raid group
You can always make your own group make the requirements quite relaxed to try have a go at it, I've done this before and met some incredibly nice people this way.

1 Antworten+1 for term Richard Craniums 😂

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Creed422: 10/3/2016 1:59:11 PMYa know, I didnt grind Omnigul. I grinded the "OFFICIAL" way... doing 350 strikes for packages, doing Nightfalls, crucible with different modes and completeing Shaxxs' bounty for rewards. I run 3 characters and all three are 371+. You want to raid? Put in the work like the rest of us and then worry bout the raid. Save your coins and buy heavy from Xur, 33 strange coins is 1 rank at a faction. Save your ether seeds and purchase heavy from Variks and when max glimmee buy heavy from Banshee. 99 heavy is one faction rank. Save motes of light. Instead of rapidly upgrading weapons, use them to upgrade ranks... Just from this method of about 200+ coins, Banshee, Variks, and motes of light, I took my New Monarchy rank from 14 to 22 in one day. That 9 packages, Not including the crucible and vanguard packages while grinding to get coins. Also, you get 4 coins/motes per package.... it adds up fast. Theres really no excuse and this method I gave you will help you stop making excuses.

Other than the omnigal farm, no one was exploiting anything..... considering that omnigal didn't help after 365, I don't even think that was relevant after the first day or 2.....

It's a better game away from sweats and elitists. Pity we're on different consoles, I would have suggested you join us.

I know that feeling too well as I was the same during TTK where everyone expected me to know what to do by watching YT vids which tbh isn't how you learn to raid, it's far better to actually play and learn how it works first hand which I'v done since VoG. Don't get me wrong tho, being underleveled or inexperienced and wiping can be annoying but it's also how you learn to get better like my raid team even does the "babysitting" where left and right takes a new guy no matter the light and works with them from start to finish so the new guy learns from how the older one plays. If that side keeps failing then it's obvious that guy just isn't willing to learn from someone experienced because he "watched it" and we end up removing them.

Richard cranium = di ck head
-
Let me guess... you didnt prepare yourself farming motes, heavy and engrams before the dlc and now your light level is too low...
-
An elitist is someone who looks down on lesser people and feels entitled. People who did that glitch aren't necessarily elitists. I know, that's beside your point.

Try "the 100 Destiny" website, good for matchmaking

1 AntwortenYou don't sound relaxed....

3 AntwortenRaids shouldn't be for the casual player. The rest of the game should cater. Trials has its own community and so should the raid. We need raids to be fun and challenging but not overly complicated that would break logic and its own coding. Just my two sense :>

1 AntwortenThere are plenty of people in your position. What you need to do is instead of trying to find a group to join setup up your own group on lfg and specifically state its open to people of your level etc. You'll fill a team in no time at all. The issue a lot of the richard craniums have is people of a lower light hoping to be carried through a raid. In some instances this is fine but in others its going to hold up a team that just wants a quick run. So setup your own group with your own requirements, get in the raid and have fun. There's plenty of youtbe assistance now for when you get stuck so just go have fun. Even if you dont finish the boss you'll have fun and earn better gear.

7 AntwortenWith that attitude, no wonder your clan abandoned you and you haven't been accepted into a raid group.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Ve7n00m: 10/3/2016 7:35:00 AMHonestly most people I do Aksis phase 2 with can't stay alive for longer than a minute into the fight, I mean seriously it's not light level it's skill level that matters and I've found that 90% of players trying to do the Raid from the Recruitment section are just full on potatoes! The only thing I'm bored of is terrible players looking to free load an Aksis kill. Some dude last night was like 'it's ok if people die at the start' NO IT -blam!-ING ISN'T!!! When hard mode comes out soon, you players that are being 'carried' are gonna hold compentent Raiders down even more. When someone dies when I'm Fireteam leader it's a wipe (unless it's one of those freak deaths, but if you're dying the same way ALL the time, you're holding us back and need to learn why) learn why you're getting smushed by your Captain or by the Shanks and rectifiy it, don't expect someone to do your job for you as well as theirs!

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Phuzakie: 10/3/2016 6:42:32 PMFind like minded players... Join a group of people that match your age and play style on the100.io Because people can level fast and still help people...

2 AntwortenWho the -blam!- is Richard cranium? And you can reach 385+ light without ever touching the raid. In fact the raid ranks 2nd on my list of best activities to level up light. First is heroic strikes.
