They need a way to submit video evidence on the in game reporting tool. So Blatant cheaters can get the ban hammer more accurately and quickly. You post a link to a youtube video here you get in trouble for name and shame violation. Give the in game reporting tool some actual teeth so it actually works , or let video evidence be submitted in the forums please. Edit 1 : In my model you can only report those you play against and if a player gets a certain number of reports with video like 10 or 20 or so, then they get put in a list that gets human oversight to determine if they are cheating , on the other side if someone makes too many reports they also get put on a list for human oversight to determine if they are just making false reports. 2 week ban hammer 1st offense 4 week ban hammer 2nd offense and perma ban for crucible on 3rd. Thats what i think it should look like for both offenses. Edit 2 : i also think confirmed cheaters should lose any gear they still have that was gained from cheating.

3 AntwortenHow do you tell the difference between a cheater and someone who has been matchmade into a game when they are on the other side of the world?
-
1 AntwortenI'd be happy if the report button just meant I never have to play against them again.
-
3 AntwortenYou can submit video via the online report form. If you're that sure someone is cheating, use that.
-
1 AntwortenBungie has no incentive to ban players. They want the money and know the victims of cheaters will always buy new content.
-
5 AntwortenTo me, what they should do is this: When you report someone, they are put on a list that assures you that you won't play against them again. If ten different people report the same person within 12 hours, that person is banned from the Crucible for a day. If, say, 5 hours after their ban is lifted, they are again reported five times within 12 hours, they'll be banned for five days. If they continue after that, they lose all Crucible privileges.

They may need it. But, it won't change the fact bungie rarely enforces there own rules. PVP will always be broken no matter what is done as long as cheaters & redbars are allowed to run rampant. Did a few games of trials the other day. 10 players on brand new accounts. Admitted to cheating and only Microsoft has punished them with a few days ban. Most said they did not care. They had more than 1 account and it was more fun to troll people than play fair. 3 of the players had rep scores with a "avoide me" out right on there profiles with only 1 game played. I don't know what's happend in the last few years. But it seems game company's have lost there nerve to punish cheaters. You can't be competitive and not enforce the rules of the game.

1 AntwortenI agree reporting does jack crap
-
7 AntwortenBungie swing the ban hammer every two weeks, now if someone not banned than it means they weren't cheating. Sorry but majority of the community doesn't know the difference between lag and cheating, people call wolf way to easily when they lose.
-
2 AntwortenHitting the report button should like submit the past 5-10 min of gameplay to be viewed by the people who over see bans or something.
-
1 AntwortenYou have no clue what u are talking about. They are not going to notify u id someone u report gets banned. I seen it first hand. 3 ppl on my list from australia got banned for red bar
-
3 Antwortenyeah, I don't think that reporting people actually works. Its more of a rage release button for me, thats as impotent as my 90 y/o grandpa

Bearbeitet von twey_ironside: 10/3/2016 10:51:36 AMI would be even harsher on cheaters. 1 month ban 1rst offense. Perma ban 2nd offense.

Bump and upvote

1 AntwortenExpose them anyway I'd say, to hell with Bungies rules on name & shame. Shame on them for not knowing we have rights to look out for other guardians who don't cheat to gain an advantage. Shame on you Bungie!
-
1 Antwortenwe need brute force reporting system like black ops 2 were people actually got in trouble for boosting
-
1 AntwortenIt's funny how I post proof of how easy it is to cheat in destiny and the ninjas removed my post with in 2 min. But yet Bungie still won't admit people are cheating and they damn well won't do anything about it. But by god if you speak out against the cheaters Bungie will come down on you. Your showing your true colors on this one Bungie
-
1 AntwortenBungie spends more time protecting cheaters than punishing them nowadays

3 AntwortenHere's some teeth.

Here is what I see: If you are red bar in a match, you shouldn't be green bar every time you return to the lobby. This is suspicious. And if I can see this trend, BNG should be able to see it as well. When I'm red bar, I can't make myself go green at will. I'll stay red the entire time until my ISP remedies the situation or until I reset my router. But I'm wasting my breath saying anything. All you really need to know is UDPUnicorn.

I agree with you Kilgore. Cheating and lag destroy the crucible. It's a huge disappointment that bungie doesn't taking cheating more seriously.
-
Totally agree killgore.

9 AntwortenThe problem with them actually banning all the cheaters...... BUMGIE loses half (if not more of the player base) and that's not good for scams... oops I mean business.
-
This needs to happen for sure.

5 AntwortenAlong with that, it would be great to get actual notification that it's being looked into, and when it's resolved. There also needs to be a way to report players if, in some cases, either side disconnects from the session, or if the session ends before you get a chance to report players. There needs to be a Last Played roster or tab in the Roster menu that shows the last 20 players you encountered in recent sessions. It would help for those players that get lagged/DDoS-ed out of a Crucible/Trials match before they can report suspected cheaters. The biggest problem of all, however, is Bungie's lack of proactivity in dealing with cheaters. Both Rockstar and Blizzard deal with cheaters in a harsh and timely manner, but Bungie seems to barely budge, even in the face of ironclad evidence.
