That wouldn't actually free to active storage slots. The system still has to store those items, even if they're displaying in one slot. What type asking for is a vault expansion (which I'm all for).
What you're suggesting is actually only a visual change.

Not exaxtly if armor takes 4 slots now, reducing to 1 actually will free up 3 slote

You're thinking like a person, not like a computer. You're actual asking them to add 4 slots nested under a single display point. That's a vault expansion, unless they use existing vault spaces, and reallocate their display location, but that would gain you no additional spaces. You're actually asking for an expansion, and a redesign.

I wanted other people to understand that combining slots for gear collections wouldn't actually result in extra gear storage. You're asking for people's opinions on a suggestion that wouldn't actually result in what you think it would. I'm perfectly entitled to correct the misconception, as well as give my opinion on that change. Welcome to the internet, where you don't get to dictate responses to open threads.

I'm not being a troll, I'm existing to you why it's not as simple as the way you're stating it. You implied that combining armor to a single slot would free up storage space. What I'm telling you is that combining slots is just a visual change. I agree that they should expand the vault, but changing the visual display wouldn't actually achieve any additional storage. I'm just making it clear that what you're asking for is actually multiple changes.
