If you red bar in crucible you should not get any post game rewards. If everyone has to suffer because of your crappy internet so should you.

Maybe once they start using dedicated servers I'd agree. They can't punish people because the match making decided to put you in a European lobby that you live 2000 miles away from. If I'm red barring and I know 100% forsure that it is my fault, I usually hop offline and try again later when my ISP isn't so congested. If I'm red barring and I check the profile of one of the players and he lives in Europe or the UK, how in the hell is that my fault?

3 AntwortenThey don't punish people because red barring isn't usually the players fault. Ping and latency are the defining factors of "redbar". This changes depending on the people you are connected to. Distance and ISP's don't always equate to a good online experience, and that is just the nature of the game. It's also near impossible to detect, because the bar system only shows people their connections to each other, and not to Bungie's actual servers. If you want a fix, the ideal one would be for Bungie to stop going off of P2P and using Activision's outdated servers, and buy their own (they seriously have the money for it and we all know it). And that fix is the one that will make the biggest difference.
