I know we have no more expansions coming out for destiny but how come we didn't get an expansion entered around the cabal. Bungie could have written a proper story with the cabal invading earth and the guardians actually have to defend the walls of the city rather than just always pushing out against the enemies and invading their home bases.
The weapons and armour could have been expanded to be way more epic as well with cabal weaponry as an option. I'm not saying I want another expansion now but it's just a missed opportunity, that's all.
What do you guys think? Should we have a cabal expansion, if so what do you think should be added.
The cabal is probably my favourite enemy faction and I have a weird obsession with them.
*Edit*
Many of you guys have responded, saying that the Cabal will be focused upon heavily in destiny 2. I was kind of hoping that we might be getting some new enemy races to focus upon in destiny 2 but the Cabal as the main enemy could create an interesting story. The cabal invading our solar system with a massive armada could be really cool and if we finally get to meet the cabal emperor he could make for a great villain (A better villain than Oryx anyway).
However I was recently reading a fan theory on the cabal. The theory stated that the cabal have entered our solar system because the darkness took over their home planet and they are looking for new technology to defeat the darkness.
What if, instead of the cabal becoming the main enemy, we would have to make an alliance with them to defeat the darkness or a new sort of enemy. I think it could make for a far better story than what we originally got and could lead to some cool story missions as well.
Of course getting to headshot cabal is always fun.

not really, the cabal are boring as fuck, they're just not interesting lmao

For more of a fleshed out cabal story, yes. I just hate fighting cabal sooooo much!

8 AntwortenI want a full-on war with bullets and rockets flying everywhere. No enemy magic, no other special powers. Just a fireteam and their guns battling against hulking, armored beasts, a hail of heavy gunfire, and the roar of thunderous explosions.

2 AntwortenIt's supposed to be a major focus of destiny 2

3 AntwortenMy only objection to a cabal raid is that I don't just want to get repeatedly slammed into a wall...

Everyone should get a Phalanx shield as a relic so that we can slam them into walls for a change.

I hate the cabal

April Update, 2017. Mark my words, I'm positive we'll see more Cabal shenanigans before D2 gets launched..like a Guardian off of a Phalanx shield.

1 AntwortenI hope that in the raid in destiny 2 the exotic raid weapon will be like some sort of cabal hand canon. Because we got an auto rifle from Croats end, scout from kings fall and now a pulse rifle. All that's left is the hand canon

Yes. Yes I do.

Its interesting since we dont really know that much about the cabal. We know about the fallen's whirlwind. Paracasual deaths of hive gods. Even how vex time powers work and what do we know about cabal lore?
-
I mean come on do you want a cabal raid lol?

Bungie hates cabal confirmed!

I would love a strike or raid about defending the ACTUAL City from a Cabal Invasion force. Imagine starting the mission at the tower and then watching as a Cabal war fleet warps into orbit and starts to siege the city and drop thousands upon thousands of troops. At first you would fight off Cabal inside the tower and once you finish the Cabal up there you slide down the tower avoiding fire and debris to take the fight into the city. The one directing you would be Zavala and you could be making your way to the Traveler to stop the Cabal from destroying it and get the cities shields online (the shield could be like a giant defender bubble). A Cabal expansion wouldve been great.

7 AntwortenI've always wanted a Cabal Raid. They're supposed to be these military masterminds but we've seen them do nothing but make poor decisions since our time in the game as guardians. They've apparently been in a never ending war with the Vex since before we came into the scene. They've attacked the Dreadnaught in retaliation to Oryx taking a bunch of their forces. Some of their Generals were imprisoned in the Prison of Elders. And they've had a bunch of their Generals/Warlords conquered by us Guardians. They're spread thin, but there's gotta be a main leader somewhere and he's gotta be pissed off about the state of the Cabal. And I want to kick his ass.

i see a cabal raid including a multi cannon fast firing tank with shielded crit spots where you need to kill the matching flayer to break the shield... nope.. all hail the great cabal emperor
-
Wasn't there a Taken King mission, Outbound Signal or something.. The end dialogue from that hinted that the Cabal Fleet/Emperor could be on their way to the System. Hopefully there's another Expansion/Update type thing that adds one. We've had a Raid for every other race, why not Cabal? I'd be intrigued to see what it'd be like.

They were pretty busy on the Dreadnaught.

I hope the relic is a Phalanx Shield, and that you can go around bashing the -blam!- out of everything with it.
