Iheard about the kotaku leaks and the fact that destiny 2 will be a new experience and we will be starting over. Please don't do this. Don't take our guardians away. There will be backlash from this. We've all spent so many endless hours leveling up. If anything let us at least take one of our characters to year 4/ destiny 2. Bungie I hope you are listening. There will be a large section of the community that will leave if we did all this work from vanilla to rise of iron for nothing. We want to continue the story with OUR guardians.

I can't WAIT for us to grind for all our same legendarys and exotics all over again. We all know that's what destiny 2 is gon be

I do not think you guys are getting it. They are not just wiping your character. They are wiping the whole world including the story. Everything will be new. Also, for those not buying it. Your voice is so little it isn't even funny. It's coming to PC so those players will replace those who quit and more some.
-
7 AntwortenLose our guardians and they lose players. It would be like wiping out the entire cast of your favorite show, that's how you kill a series.
-
Your guardian will still exist in Destiny 1. Honestly, if I had to choose between being able to carry over my character and seeing Destiny 2 innovate the franchise, I'd rather see the latter. The more they try to carry over, the more burdened they become by older decisions. If it's like the transistion from Diablo 1 to Diablo 2 or Mass Effect 1-2, I will be 100% okay with my Warlock being left behind

Bearbeitet von EventHorizon_16: 9/29/2016 4:29:38 PMI hope they completely start over. I'm sick of these environments and all the enemies. I have zero sentiment towards any of my guardians because they have no personality and are just a mass of armor and weapons. I can put them on anyone else or anything and feel the same way....which is nothing. I vote for a completely clean slate.

2 AntwortenThey shouldn't take our guardians away. It is not limiting what they can do on destiny 2. Their imaginations and creativity are what limits them. Just let us keep everything and make it so the content scales to us or the fireteam leader. New players will still join even if we D1 players get to keep everything. Keep in mind COD series is just literally copy and pasted content and it is still going strong. If a new game comes out. The new players will come. They will grind up just as we did. It is just a matter of keeping them interested in the game. After all isn't that what caused so many players to leave in the first place? You can't favor new players without even considering us that put in the time. Bungie said this would be a 10 year game. Continue on with the story and universe add in more planets and content. They no longer need to worry about the legacy consoles. If we have to start over then this series just became COD. We put in all that time in COD leveling and getting the camos, emblems, etc.. Then have to start all over next game. That is fine for a FPS, but this is a FPS MMO. Bottom line let the D1 Characters be imported. Even if it is just Characters, exotics, raid gear, emblems, and shaders. In the end new players shouldn't care about being behind. The adventure begins once you finish the story, and dive into end game content. Do not handicap the rest to cater to the new.

1 AntwortenNope I vote delete

Lol.. Hope they make you guys reset... Maybe then the remaining addicts will stop throwing money at the screen for repetitive garbage.

2 AntwortenThe main reason I continued to play Halo was for the campaign/story mode. I was hope for the same feel from destiny but it fell short. I only purchased the DLCs because it was mandatory to continue to play the game I purchased from day one (locked out of nf, daily missions, etc). There really isn't any story for me to follow to destiny 2. Bungie has show us time and time again that their main concern is PvP and I can find that elsewhere without all the bullshit nerfs.

5 AntwortenHonestly, I would not support leaving everything behind, but if they do, they need to come through on their promise to have something TRULY SPECIAL for those who have dumped hours and hours into this game. And it needs to be tiered based on WHEN you started to play and how many hours you played. It needs to be more than a cosmetic too, because emblems really don't get you much respect/attention, sparrows are meh (who can get a good look at them when your blowing by at full speed?) and ships rarely get seen. Class armors would be cool, but then we're stuck with what the dev's pick for us - kind of like when they gave vet players the old guard shader, ravensteel sparrow, and the be brave emblem. All were really undesirable!!!!! Instead of giving us that "something special" on a take it or leave it basis, let US pick a token from the era we started in to bring forward. Beta/Y1 players can pick ONE gun from the Y1 era to bring into D2 and it will ALWAYS be infusable to max light. Since all Y1 gear will be left behind otherwise, this would really set Y1 players apart and recognize their legends from Y1. Caveat? If you pick raid weapons, you must have completed the raids on the hardest difficulty in Y1. Y2 Players? Same thing. If you started in Y2, you get to pick ANY Y2 weapon to bring forward with you. Just one though. If its a raid weapon/COE/POE weapon, you must have had the item in Y2. Ditto for players who started in RoI. Then, ALL class armors from the era you started in should be available from the speaker or some other NPC in Destiny 2 at current light levels and infusable. You like the shattered cloak and you were a Y1 player? You get to bring it forward! This would separate players somewhat by the era they played in, allow Y1 players to hold on to a momento from the time they spent in Y1, and allow bungie to hit the reset button on pretty much anything else. Even if they still do not allow elemental primaries in D2, having a raid weapon from y1 would be that much of a bigger advantage and it would be a worthy prize for Y1 players considering the work we did initially to recruit other players to this game - basically free of charge. It would also make up for the fact that Y2 players got to bring their gear forward and Y1 players did not.

If they take away my characters after saying that we would go the whole 10 years with our guardians, then I will not be playing Destiny 2......as a matter of fact I'm done spending any more money on Destiny until I find out for sure that my characters will progress forward, that's the one thing that sold me on Destiny was the fact Bungie said our characters would progress forward for the lifespan of the game
-
8 AntwortenOur guardians are the same as every other guardian, there's nothing unique about them. They don't even have voices. When they give us more than a half dozen customization options, and let us tweak them after creation, then I'll feel wistful seeing them go.
-
What they should have is a system in which you start over but your destiny one character is your destiny 2 mentor, and once you finish the campaign, you will be able to access the legends vault which is basically just your destiny one vault just with everything at 3 light with the ability to infuse. This will bring forward all of out favorite gear while also making the game feel new by starting at a low light level. It also won't ruin progression.
-
1 AntwortenName a previous game series that had a sequel that also carried over all gear and progress. Before you say mass effect, i have to stop you. Your choices carried but none of your equipment did. I am upset by this because i am on xbone and i won't be getting the ps exclusives but honestly i expected a new game without carry over.

I wouldn't mind a fresh start. Sure it'll hurt for a bit but at least we had a shit ton of fun in Destiny 1. The fails, the fun moments, the epic plays, the story and the beginning of a great franchise is something they can't take away from us. A little bit of recognition is all I ask for. As loyal players, I'd like to get someting special or something cool from the first Destiny. An item that'll be able to make you say: "Boy I was there when..." Preferably, the Stranger's Rifle. That gun is still my favorite gun after all these years.
-
yup. I just read that article.. considering we have been told several times our characters will carry over, its just another example of how bungie says one thing and then reverses that decision.. another bout of not living up to their own word. sad really. do they expect that millions of new players will suddenly pick up destiny 2 who never played D1? time to honour the guardians and treat them with the respect we have earned by suporting the game for three years.
-
14 AntwortenDon't care if they make us start fresh and I'm sure most people don't, I've played destiny since the beta and I'll continue to play til destiny 2 comes out. I've bought all the dlc's and even spent a little bit on silver here and there and I feel that I've gotten more than my money's worth and if you haven't then you video game wrong.
-
I wanted to keep my chars and stuff when I first heard of Destiny 2. But now, I'm fine with whatever they do. Keeping chars would be cool, but a fresh start would also be awesome. Can't wait for alpha/beta/whatever!
-
3 AntwortenI was really hoping this game would play like WoW where the universe expanded and we got to keep our characters all the way through. Now we have to become legend all over again. Why not just have destiny 2 continue our journey where it is left off? That would be much more fun to do. I will seriously consider moving on if D2 is a start from zero game.

8 AntwortenAnyone joining destiny rise of iron can catch up to me in less than 30 days after I put 3 years into my account. So explain to me how it's relevant to keep your account. Grimoire score and the items are all obtainable easily now. People just started playing a week ago and already 370 with gjallahorn and a hand full of exotics with a grim score for 3700 in 7 days... Your 3000 hours of pervious gameplay is already irrelevant
-
1 AntwortenSo many people have spent 2-3000 hours grinding under the assumption this game was here for a long time. If Destiny 2 is indeed a fresh start I wont be getting it. Not to mention the holes in lore/grimoire than would need to be patched as current classes/subclasses and gear is inbedded in it. If they ditched it all it would be a massive shame.
-
7 AntwortenI'm all for a new engine and shit, but our armour, ghost, ship etc should carry over. Guns I understand, but armour wouldn't break the new economy. My guardian looks a certain way. I don't want a new one
-
3 AntwortenIf this is true, I won't be back. Thought it was a 10 year plan? Or was that a lie?
-
2 AntwortenNothing wrong with a fresh start, it shows that it truly is something new
-
I will say from the messed up start! Destiny storyline was going nowhere.
