My issues with 3rd wave feminism, black lives matter, etc.

Well, straight out of my ban let's do something that will probably get censored by the ninjas.
We all know about black lives matter, we all know about Anita Satkeesian, and we all know about 3rd wave movements in general. Let me state my fundamental issues with all of the above.
1. All of the above are exclusionary. BLM hates white people, radical feminists hate men, etc. These movements oppose racism and sexism with racism and sexism.
2. Privilege based on skin color or genitals. These radical groups too often ignore the primary source of privilege, money. The claim that will smith and Hillary Clinton are less privileged than a poor white man because of their skin and sex defies logic.
3. Their lack of belief in agency.
Both movements believe that everything in their lives is the consequence of white supremacy and patriarchy. Women choosing to be housewives don't actually choose, black criminals aren't responsible for their choices. This axiom defies human agency and is simply unsound.
4. The fact that they suck at their jobs.
This is where I stir the pot. There are problems with the American police force, and there are problems for women in the gaming industry. However, chanting death to cops and making easily debunked YouTube videos only makes you look like thugs and con artists. To quote Boudrillard, "Excellence changes the system." Fredrick Douglas did not change America with Ebonics and violent speech. He changed it with astounding rhetorical oration. Susan B. Anthony did not spend 200,000 dollars on 6 poorly researched videos, she made a difference. The problems with society cannot be fixed by thugs and con men, and BLM/3rd wave feminism have far too many of both.
Anyways, that's just my opinion. Discuss if you would like.

Im sure you think you have it all figured out but you sound equally as stupid as the people you oppose. Feminist do not hate men, blm do not hate white people, extemists on both parts have tainted their respective movements, how can one not look beyond those idiots and see this? The most oppressed group throughout human history are women... there are women being -blam!- and abused right now, im not going to look at some spoiled little girl voicing her distaste for men and use that to taint my views on feminism as a whole. Only a dumbass would do that. How about we stop using bad apples out of each group to judge an entire movement.

3 AntwortenI like what you said here. My biggest reason is that they aren't doing what they want to happen via the right way. BLM wants less racial tension,meh ether or not that is needed is up to you. But by being violent they are being counterintuitive. MLK jr. Never threw a punch or shot anyone but he got a message across better than anyone in the last 60 years or so. Radical feminists just yell at people, which is better than violence, but by being kind and considerate, but firm, would get the message across better. I personally don't see a need for either, but that's my opinion. That being said how they are doing what they are doing is simply ineffective

This is not right: it is fair to give everyone the means to succeed but their skill and mindset determines outcome. 1 AntwortenIn my opinion (MY FREAKIN OPINION) BLM is a terrorist organization. They promote fear and terror. They are the cause of these racist shootings that are targeting policemen. Policemen who are doing their jobs to protect us. People need to stop taking the media's word for every bit of news. If a black cop shoots a white man no one gives a crap. But if a white cop shoots a black guy everyone loses their minds. Simple racism, and it definitely shows that it isn't just white people who are racist. And feminism isn't worth my time.

It is similar to the expression "fight fire with fire." No one really thinks about how stupid that saying really is. If fighting fire with fire was effective, then fire departments all over the world would be armed with flame throwers instead of water hoses.

I think BLM started out as a fine organization. However, it was kind of taken over by a few, very extreme people. Most members believe in equality, I'm sure. But I would agree that it has become a farm for hatred in recent months.
