Who thinks Icebreaker should come back?
Icebreaker was a great sniper rifle. It's design and unique perk gave it the kick it needed. I remember doing great things with icebreaker and I'd love to make more memories with this exotic weapon. What do you guys think? Should the glory of icebreaker be restored or should it be left behind?

2 AntwortenDefinitely. Got my Ice Breaker from Xur the first time he sold it and never regretted it. Looks good, sounds good, preforms good, and is actually an interesting exotic. It isn't like some exotics like Truth, Patience and Time, and others that just give you a bonus. It's a whole different gun than a normal sniper. Back in year 1, it was amazing. Walkers? Ice Breaker. Atheon? Break the Ice. Templar? Gjallarhorn until you run out then give him some Ice Breakers. Phogoth? Ice Mother-blam!-ing Breaker. It was a utility that we could use anywhere. Pop a few shots into a big enemy, use your primary/heavy, then pop some more shots off. It deserves to come back. No nerfs needed. It's damage and it's perk were the reasons why it was so popular.

To me, it needs a new design. I sort of hate the way it looks. Other than that, the perks are fine. And yes, it should come back. And so should all the others. I mean if the Gjallarhorn returns, why not the others, yah know?

Yeah it should come back, Destiny has always been different than other shooters out there, the abilities and gear really set the playability of the game apart from everything else. Icebreaker was such a unique gun, the aesthetic, mechanics, and perks really made the gun unique. I don't snipe, gods I have shit aim (auto rifles FTW!) but still, a weapon like that kind of defines the setting of the game.

11 AntwortenThis gun needs to be brought back, and it needs to not be nerfed. I pulled out the icebreaker I got back in year one from VOG. I played with it some tonight in crucible. It works. Perfectly. And I'm /terrible/ at sniping.The only reason to not bring it forward is because of tantruming toddlers in crucible and if you have an ice breaker then you can use one anyway in crucible right now. So... Can we please just bring our gear forward and stop pretending this is hard. Hell. Bring back all year one gear. This nonsense of making you have to find stuff twice is just ignorant bull in the first place

I would love it back just to have it back but I'm not sure it really has a role anymore for the current content. I mean the special amo generation is great for juggler but we have better DPS options available with no waiting time if you have the bullets.
