Bump if you love your ghost after the khovostov quest
It's just we've done so much together and if he hadn't found us then the world would've ended but we've always pulled through and it shows how far we've come that the feeble weapon we fist picked up is now an exotic , after I chatted I just wanted an emote where I hugged the little thing

I loved it. Was it sentimental and sugary sweet, sure. That being said, I thought the moment was incredibly poignant. It happened right where the game began and Nolan has always been my ghost. There are times where he might get on my nerves but my ghost has been with me every step of the way. I loved it and thought it was a nice touch. For me, it set up an emotional moment in a game that often moves too fast to hit those notes. Yeah, I'm a sucker for sentimentality.

2 AntwortenI wasn't really a fan of it, I don't want my ghost going off on sentimental tangents, especially given that we have no concept of time passing. We learned Saladin is over 400 years old, but how long have we been battling? It seems a little early for weepy nostalgia considering we're immortal. Idk it just seemed unneeded and out of place to me. I haven't really liked the ghost at all in RoI, he talks alot but unfortunantly he just says dumb shit. I'd like them to flesh him out more as a character but not if he's only go to be a bad comic relief, bring back Cayde and let Captain Reynolds be funny if that's what they want. But I want my ghost to be intelligent and having something useful to say, add more depth and detail to the story. Dinklbot was flat, dry, and a little boring, but he at least gave relevant and useful info. I'm just not sure I really like the direction they've taken with the ghost.

1 AntwortenNah, it looked the ghost was declaring himself to me, and also one thing made it very lacking, my guardian don't talk at any point and that is bad. And Dinklebot is best ghost.

Dunno, always liked the ghost. Minus parts where they try to hard to make him funny.

1 AntwortenSorry but no. The ghost animation is good but every time I hear his voice I just cringe a bit. His voice is just so annoying to me. I was a big fan of Dinklebot's voice and when they changed it I just sighed at how bad the voiceover had become. If the ghost talked like Commander Zavala then that would be worth listening too; his voice is great.

Personally, while Dinklebot was nice in year one when the ghost was the ONLY dialog, now that we have actual human characters delivering human lines I think the "droid" voice is more appropriate. Dinklage's voice just never felt right coming out of that little metal ping-pong ball. I do miss the old "WE WOKE THE HIVE!!!!" as that was possibly the most epic moment of my time in the Beta. But I think it would have been even better if the current cast had had a character other than ghost deliver it. Zavala "Guardian! What did you just do??" Cayde-6 "OH shit! Ikora!! The new guy just woke the hive!! Ikora "What??! He's only been on five missions, he isn't ready!" Cayde-6 "Hang in there guardian, this is gonna get rough!" Ghost "But I'm picking up the dying light of a ghost! Inside!" Zavala "You don't need to be a hero guardian, you've done enough, come home!" Ikora "Zavala, we could really use the data from that ghost. I request a side bar. (voice fades as they walk away) Cayde whispers "Yeah, that ghost will be dead before they decide to save it, I say just snag it while you can. I think you're ready" Zavala "Cayde! Sidebar! Now!" Cayde "[b]COMING! Just turning off the mic! [/b]-go for it guardian (mic cuts)"

I enjoyed that moment too! It was an attempt at some character development, nod to our past. Was it the bestest moment in gaming ever? Nope, but it was nice =) I hope for more!

I miss Dinklebot but tbh Nolandroid grew on me.
