1. Offerings come in three varieties, but I believe you can only carry one at a time.
2. They appear to be nontransferable through the app (do any third party apps have ability to transfer them?) so if you have, say, a perfected offering but you're around 345 light, better stop what you're doing so you can Go vault it and hope to completely randomly get a more level appropriate offering.
3. It's totally random if you'll find people there. I've had some success running down to the warrens and coming back up, but that still just seems sloppy - why put it so far away from the spawn? If it's supposed to be public, spawn the patrol in the area.
4. Even if you do find people, once you've used up your offerings (never seen personally more than 3 others there) you're all done unless someone at random has gotten an offering that is of doable level or some rando magically happens to come along with an offering
5. Maybe just RNG but it seems like I get better drops of I get a shot in the boss, but if you happen to be trying to kill some of the puddly adds that still spawn in, or if you're reviving someone, very real chance teammate's with axes or gally rockets will have killed the boss before the done is half open leaving you out in the cold
6. Once again, bungie made an activity that could have been casual hectic fun for when a person has 3-4 friends online but absolutely no reliable way for them to actually play it together. And for the above limitations, probably not worth jumping through hoops trying to get two fire teams of friends together. At least in the court, you knew if you did finally get grouped together you could stomp baddies for as long as your heart contented (with the abundant stacks of tunes you could carry) not for 15 minutes until everyone used up their lone offering.
Sorry about the wall of text, but almost NOTHING about the way the forge was implemented remotely makes sense. Can anyone justify any of it?
Quick edit: this was mostly an exercise in slowing my own rage, but seems to have gotten some traction. Keep reading/commenting, maybe we can get a live look-in from Deej for some explanation

They dropped the ball on this one for sure.
-
Plus I keep getting the same types of drops no matter what type of offering. I've got like 10 class items and a few legendary engrams and nothing else
-
I hope they redo/add too this event. When it's good, it's good. But when you've gone through 5 perfected offerings and haven't got anything you just don't want to do it anymore. Also the '1 offer only' rule is the worst. Get your act together bungo

Its easily the biggest dissapointment for ROI. Badly designed.
-
Lost count of how many hours I've wasted leaving the forge and coming back trying to load in with other players. When you do get a couple of runs at best. All to finish one weekly bounty.

A group of 4-5 friends do it all the time.
Randos usually respond and do it as they want more people in there too
2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Chunchunmaru: 9/25/2016 7:54:31 PMI used to be able to transfer mine through the google crome app then some dipshit youtuber shitposted that you could transfer them and offer it and glitch it to where it offered but you still kept it. The next day i couldnt transfer them to vault or other characters.

I say Bungie hired some CEO from K Mart to come up with this.
-
Me + 2 randoms did it. I got nothing from them.

3 AntwortenAt the start of the release the offerings could be transferred via the app, meaning that was changed for some irritating reason.
-
I got rewards from the forge. It was like one time I started an event (perfected splicer) at the forge and I didn't kill it at time so I got a reward
-
7 AntwortenI used an offering, didn't realise I had so little time before the gate closed, got locked out, had to use a key to get back in, only for the event to shut down claiming it was too dangerous this time... So, yeah, it could be easier to get into and run. Not to mention seeing morgues with more life in 'em.
-
A lot of people are complaining that they haven't gotten rewards because they weren't able to damage the boss, but I've gotten rewards from events where I joined at the last minute and only killed a few adds. Just keep playing and you will get rewards and stop whining. I agree though that the offerings system is bs with only being able to hold one at a time.

Agreed. I think it's fun, but right now it's like 20 minutes of chores for 5 minutes of fun.

17 AntwortenDude just run to the room After the forge and and go untill your in the warrens..from there WALK BACK TO THE FORGE and ull get join into a difference instance and you will get matchmaked into an active forge...works 9/10 time...ive been farmi g the forge like that. I got all my bounties done, the book done and i got the insane new sniper rifle

1 AntwortenAgreed. Why make an activity that is inaccessible? They give us an event to play, but make it unplayable. And when you finally get in, through an unnecessarily burdensome workaround, people kill boss before the dome even opens, depriving the rest of the people of loot. Fun?.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von DG Ancient: 9/25/2016 6:40:52 PMI was playing at release, you were allowed to transfer offerings to vault at first, just so everyone knows..... I did it everytime I ran across another on the ground, open app, transfer it then pick up the new one. They went back and changed it.
-
2. They appear to be nontransferable through the app (do any third party apps have ability to transfer them?) They used to be, but just like the Agonarch Rune on the Dreadnought, people were farming the same rune/offering over and over again using the app. Thank them for cheating the game with exploits. Here's something thing I do, which is a little tedious: once I get an offering of any type I put it in my vault and switch characters so my other characters can pick it up... I do it so all three of my characters and vault always have an offering (I have four at any given time). I go to the forge and wait until I find at least five other people, I get them in party chat so they can invite me back when I go to get to other offering. Doing this, I've spent at least two hours there and someone always ends up getting one during the fight. It may not be the most conventional way, but it has worked for me and I've gotten the gear I wanted doing so.

Bearbeitet von ComeWlthme: 9/25/2016 7:27:53 PMAt least let us carry 3-5 so they keepinp dropping or at least one of each... Ive seen that if you have one it stops dropping all together so you can't get mobs to drop it unless you rid yourself of it.

1 AntwortenDon't respawn wait to be revived.

It is like they thought that the court of Oryx had to many runes, so they limited the offerings for this.
-
Have a blue offering in my inventory. On patrol had another blue drop and a purple drop. Why don't these offerings go to your postmaster? The small white engrams would always end up in your postmaster pre RoI.
-
A+, its honestly a great and fun activity but the lack of matchmaking and offering limitations really mess it up
