Archon's Forge decisions are absolutely baffling
1. Offerings come in three varieties, but I believe you can only carry one at a time.
2. They appear to be nontransferable through the app (do any third party apps have ability to transfer them?) so if you have, say, a perfected offering but you're around 345 light, better stop what you're doing so you can Go vault it and hope to completely randomly get a more level appropriate offering.
3. It's totally random if you'll find people there. I've had some success running down to the warrens and coming back up, but that still just seems sloppy - why put it so far away from the spawn? If it's supposed to be public, spawn the patrol in the area.
4. Even if you do find people, once you've used up your offerings (never seen personally more than 3 others there) you're all done unless someone at random has gotten an offering that is of doable level or some rando magically happens to come along with an offering
5. Maybe just RNG but it seems like I get better drops of I get a shot in the boss, but if you happen to be trying to kill some of the puddly adds that still spawn in, or if you're reviving someone, very real chance teammate's with axes or gally rockets will have killed the boss before the done is half open leaving you out in the cold
6. Once again, bungie made an activity that could have been casual hectic fun for when a person has 3-4 friends online but absolutely no reliable way for them to actually play it together. And for the above limitations, probably not worth jumping through hoops trying to get two fire teams of friends together. At least in the court, you knew if you did finally get grouped together you could stomp baddies for as long as your heart contented (with the abundant stacks of tunes you could carry) not for 15 minutes until everyone used up their lone offering.
Sorry about the wall of text, but almost NOTHING about the way the forge was implemented remotely makes sense. Can anyone justify any of it?
Quick edit: this was mostly an exercise in slowing my own rage, but seems to have gotten some traction. Keep reading/commenting, maybe we can get a live look-in from Deej for some explanation

After completing the requirements for the RoI book, I'll only play it if bounties require it. But I do believe it's a work in progress for Bungie wouldn't be surprised if there are multiple fixes/updates in the future.

Cuz if this is how we are supposed to pair up with randos treating it like a public event, then yeah I'm not a fan of AF at all Edit: was reading more comments... I've gotten no rewards after doing a green offering with one other player, also are not many ppl showing up to AF cuz they don't know what's up or is it ppl havent hopped on the ROI expansion yet, or is it the BS way you get and store offerings?

Bad game design. Or perhaps artificial scarcity. Bungie always makes things much scarcer than necessary as to make you play longer, because the next 'expansion' will be Destiny 2. They clearly overdid it this time and statistics will tell them they -blam!-ed up once again. I wonder how long it will take until they remove 365 artifacts from Eris Morn? I had a blast with three randoms in obliterating the Court of Oryx with swords and Gjallarhorns to level up Eris. Worked perfectly and was a ton of fun.

4 AntwortenIt's COO. Exactly the same, except that we don't need to charge any runes. I get drops all the time. I usually get a drop DURING THE FORGE RUN so I can go again. It's fun. and new, just sucks that it's hard to find people.

Honestly if they fixed the match making I'd be happy with it. As it is now getting a group is almost to much of a struggle, but if you want to make it past 365 it's really the only way to go.

I haven't really had much problem with completing it. It takes a few minutes of walking in and out, but once you find a person, hopefully they'll party with you and you can get 6 people. Earlier today I had 9 people in one instance. I'm at (I'm pretty sure) over 100 completions <3

3 AntwortenI don't understand the drops. Can all items drop from every type of offering? Are chances higher with purple offerings? It seems the purple offering completion auto completes the weekly bounty? Why are those tiny perfected shanks so tanky?

You know what makes it [b][i][u]EVEN WORSE?[/u][/i][/b] You can get to the archons forge by loading in the raid and progressing to the plaguelands like normal instead of entering the raid, but they intentionally disabled the offerings console. What kind of -blam!-ing bullshit is that?

I hate how people slam the perfected dreg an he shoots to the roof. you do more dps by hitting him regular. also come on people let the boss attempt to get out the clam shell b4 you just jump in an

Honestly, Court of Oryx had a perfect system when it came to the offerings needed to start the events. If they had just copied what they did for court of oryx into the archons forge it would be so much better.
