Raid's been out LESS than 24 hrs. people are already asking that "you know how to do it". These people are ridiculous and have lead the majority of the community into a hole.
Rather sad.

3 AntwortenI remember a time when you ran around the tower messaging any random you seen at level 28 or better trying to build a team. And lots of others did the same thing, I still play with some of those people. LFG has made this game very snobby.
-
this is why I wait until my friends invite me to the raid... I'm at 370 light so that won't be an issue at least
-
1 AntwortenIf you haven't already done it at least have looked up a strategy online. It's extremely selfish to slow down the whole team just because you wanna go in blind.
-
Youtube it....

4 AntwortenI saw a guy. 380+ must have beaten the raid
-
Next Tuesday and Wednesday I'll be attempting the raid once my light is a little higher as long as you have a mic your welcome to come. Did the same thing with kibgsfall brought new people all the time and we completed it everytime...

The community in Y-1 was MUCH better.

38 AntwortenEvery raid release brings out the absolute cockroaches of this community to make ridiculous demands of others to make themselves feel like they actually accomplished something worth giving 2 shits about. Only having 3 days to grind is ridiculous because it only caters to mostly streamers and people who have no life/job/responsibilities so they can spend 12 hours a day farming omnigul (how exciting). I always give it a week or two if I don't have a raid group because the first few days it's the absolute trash of this otherwise pretty helpful community. The wankers will burn themselves out eventually and be the ones bitching about lack of content in about a month but at least they can put that raid completion on their application at Taco Bell with oryx as a reference.

Saw someone on LFG demanding 380+ to carry his 350 ass through the raid
-
1 AntwortenI have tried to beat the boss for 5 hours I'm tired of telling people how to play. That's why people ask for someone who knows the strategy.
-
3 AntwortenHavent had the chance to raid had friends message me asking do i want to raid and i juat say im only 362 even though i know at that level you wont run into much trouble. Ive always had the opportunity to be among the first whove completed the raid within the week it launched this time around i wont and its not bungies fault for releasing it early i just have my clan that i want to raid with. Alot of people say oh these people who beat the raid they farmed to reach max light defeating the purpose of the raid and to some extent i agree but to each their own i dont wana farm past the recommended light cause im lazy and that sounds boring. Ive done like 20 heroics and im just burnt out so ill do the raid with the people i know and have come to trust cause thats the kind of people i want to raid with not these stuck ups who demand i meet their demands.

This happens with every new raid... The first day of KF, and even Crota, you would see posts "Need X people with X weapon. Must be experienced".
-
2 AntwortenJust need to find a group that will take newbies.
-
2 AntwortenI guess that's too bad. Start your own group and drag that anchor through. Or maybe you are the anchor. There are many instructional vids on every part of the raid. No reason to not at least be prepared.
-
My group got halfway through. The mechanics aren't hard to figure out so far. I can tell you HOW to do it. Took us 30 minuites to figure out the basics. There are elitists, people who want to get it done quick, people that want to help, people that want to give it a go...then there's people that are just stuck at a part and just want it done. I don't care much about what other people's requirements are. I laugh at the elitists, feel bad for the noobiest of noobs, and continue looking for what I need if and when I turn to the forums for help.

There are plenty groups fine with going in blind

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von ThisMahSwamp: 9/26/2016 3:08:38 PMWhat's more ridiculous, the guy who asks you to research the encounter when there are ample videos, guides, etc. to read over prior to entering a raid....or the guy who refuses to do said research when it is easily accessed. If you intend to run it blind, find your own group.
-
1 AntwortenSome of them (if not the most of them) are those guys that are upset with "buffs and nerfs because of PvP crybabies, that ruin PvE too" here. But when it comes to Raid they are like: You must have done this before You must be at least 380 light You must do what I say etc...
-
1 AntwortenThe "community" you speak of is just the vast majority of people that are gonna struggle bus it for the next month with the raid. For the more elite 5% that have found a way to be consistent and competent even while "under leveled", there is no reason for us to backtrack and struggle because team members can't hold their own. I raid with people who have completion emblems. Mostly. And btw I have 3 clears already. We haven't ruined anything. You just need to step up your game :)

4 Antwortenthe sad thing is that this LFG let it happen knowing it's hurting Destiny in the long run.
-
Us guys that beat it are not ready to start sherpa-ing yet. We wanna beat it more time before we're at that point. I'm fine teaching people but I'm even under leveled for it and won't teach till I'm not. Blind raiders and experienced ones don't belong together in the same raid. My first raid was blind and now I'd like to get a few runs in with others that know the raid like i do. My advice is make posts looking for blind raiders, avoid videos and strategy guides. It's an experience you only get once per raid and no raid ever compares to the first.

Bearbeitet von SeneschalGrigori: 9/26/2016 2:25:01 PMBecause everyone expects you to go watch videos on how to do each fight. it's been that way for years on various MMOs once the top clans/guilds knock out the new raid.
-
My group figured out all the encounters our selves. It was way more fun that way. And it was not even that hard to figure out lol
-
When people have a very limited time to play, hey want people who know what they are doing do they can finish the raid fast
-
Plenty of patient teams. Also a ton of guides online. Everyone should have some idea of what's going on

1 AntwortenWhen you criticize a game with such a ferocious fanbase, you'll always leave yourself open to the Min/Maxers and the Hardcore players attacking your opinion because it doesn't agree with their own. The sad thing I've learnt from being a part of this community in sparse intervals, is that the wise man should keep his opinion to himself. If you don't like the Models being reused? They'll attack you. If you don't like the grind being ridiculous? They'll attack you. Don't like how PvP nerf effect PvE play? You'll be Maimed and ignored. Just play the game the way you want, with the people you want, and if you can't really handle being silent? Take the time to read the comments and selectively block people, instead of reply. It gets easier to try to filter out the garbage then to clean it.
