Title.
It's made even sadder by the fact that I can see what Bungie were trying to do with this strike, by making it ever changing and different each time.
But the reality is that everyone takes the same path each time. The objectives are more boring than Dust Palace - find some random nodes, shooty shooty, and continue.
There isn't any sense of progression, no interesting mechanics or pretty scenery, just plain boring cylinders with SIVA stuff.
And then we get the boss fight.
Who thought it would be a clever idea to make a boss who teleports to you every 10 seconds, has a gun that kills you in 2 seconds flat, all in an arena with barely any cover?
Well, maybe find some cover and nuke him from there? Not so! You've also got to deal with an invincible Ogre on your tail ALL THE TIME.
And if that wasn't bad enough, you've got to deal with adds doing one-shot Arc damage.
Really disappointed, considering how fantastic remastered Sepiks and Phogoth were.

No, I am right there with you. Sepiks however is the only strike I like of the new strikes. Phogoth seems..gimmicky when you add in shriekers, traps, chaff, arc damage, and boomers and the endless thralls. I really don't see the need of doing this strike with that many bullshit traps just to get some weapon parts and armor mats. I think they need to make the ogre killable or some variation that gives you a bit more cover..maybe turn down his teleport timer? Whatever, I literally hate those 2 strikes.

1 AntwortenI think that the boss fight is great. Ypu have to deal with adds, this ogre and you cant camp one spot. The boss does not have too much health and the adds are only a problem if you dont deal with them properly (dregs, shanks and vandals are not that big of a deal) the guy that got ogre aggro just has to kite him and tge other 2 dps the boss and/or kill adds (hell even the ogre guy can deal with adds easily) while the rest of the strile is mediocre the boss fight is great, imo.

2 AntwortenStrike is fine. Some people can't be pleased.
-
The Start of the Strike is fine. The boss though is a giant Cluster-blam!-. A Ogre cannon which is almost impossible to dodge. A blind ogre that chases you like forever. The Shanks.... The bloody shanks... There spawns are awful i think they shouldn't be able to shoot you in the air. The boss though being maybe a bit over the top is alright

5 AntwortenCan you imagine void burn when this is the nightfall? It won't be pretty lol
-
2 AntwortenI never thought I'd get ptsd from shanks...
-
2 AntwortenYea, don't think your opinion really means much.

They missed a golden opportunity with that Ogre mechanic to make a chase boss battle. Have the ogre chase you down a corridor with cover spread around in it and have the Boss in front of you. You have to scuttle from cover to cover down the corridor avoiding the ogre and boss' ogre eye weapon while doing DPS. Would've been a fresh of breath air compared to all the other strike bosses.

3 AntwortenNoobs will always complain no matter what ... Nice one buddy !
-
2 AntwortenSorry it doesn't let you camp all day, kid.

Them Shanks dont F around
-
Agreed!! I hate it!
-
I agree with you on the boss fight it's terrible but the rest isn't that bad
-
I actually like it, it's quick, and easy. No time gated rooms. What makes a strike fun is the group your with. Dust palace is a blast if you have good communication and swords. You can down all 3 bosses before the first reinforcements arrive. This strike I enjoyed that the boss needed some good planning and communication. Ogre duty, especially after its enraged you gotta warn people quick when he changes aggro, or the nightfall. Those blasted shanks, if you all aren't prepped for those you're done for. I enjoy that the boss fight has some good fight mechanics and controllable chaos. And that most importantly I'm not held back waiting for my freaking ghost to open a door.

Its actually quite nice

You're an idiot

2 AntwortenWhat bothers me is why the ogre doesn't hurt the boss. It's blind, so it shouldn't be following me all the time.
-
i actually like that its a lenghty strike:)

3 AntwortenI was running this earlier with some randys, got a message after we finally got it done from a sunbreaker using Gjally. "U suk" I don't think he knew what arc burn meant.
-
Well the boss only teleports to a different part of the room when you get his health to a certain level It's a good boss mechanic it prevents players from camping in one location and makes it so you have to be moving The whole feel of the strike is awesome the spooky music playing in the silos and when you get to the boss chamber you realize the SIVA can do some -blam!-ed up stuff Tldr I like the strike
-
Celestial Nighthawk, Ghorn. Repeat. It's not hard, really. If anything, the rest of the strike is poorly designed. Though I like the part with the SIVA turrets.
-
I think the strike is meant to keep you aware at all times. Especially with the arc burns, it's definitely unforgiving for uncoordinated groups. I personally like it.

2 AntwortenThose shanks are the stuff of nightmare

Bungie forums = soap box

2 AntwortenOn top of that, when the ogre in the strike charges you, he gets right up against you and you can't move out of the way to dodge, which guarantees your death.
