I want to know what offtopic's favorite medieval weapons are.
Personally, I'm a fan of the halberd. I just love the thought of a spear longer than myself with an axe-head near the spear-tip.

Dependent on task. If it's a real fight, I'd much rather not be in range for what ever my opponent has. Sparring and play fight? A German messer or a Scottish claymore.

Mace. Flail is incredibly impractical and dangerous to the user. Might have been very rarely used. Look it up.
