If you had control over every aspect of developing a Halo game, what would you do? This can be a spin-off or Halo 6.
Unlimited budget, and no one to please but the fans of the series.
What I would do:

Alright, fine. I got two. First one is an actual Halo 2 Anniversary. Whenever you get this game, you also get backwards compatibility codes for Halo CEA, Halo 3, and Halo 4 with all DLC with said games. There are classic playlists (so you'll be playing OG Halo 2 on these) and there are anniversary playlists (obviously new Halo 2 stuff) Then i'd probably make a new Halo game which focuses on stealth, kinda like a Phantom Pain kind of game (cept it has no Konami and has all the content) where you play as an ODST doing sp00ky stuff for ONI.

Instead of the garbage called Spartan OPs, have both Reach and ODST firefight Real Armor customization and not just picking a set of armor. Then that would be the perfect game Halo collection.

Action sack with 4 player, 6 player, 8 player, 12 player, and 16 player queues Weapon pad glitch is now a game feature, you choose the skin, and name of the gun, doesn't have to be on a weapon pad. Vehicle welding fully supported. EDIT: Add Forge World, the best map ever.

Personally I'd like to be able to switch ranked modes to social and vice versa in 5. Some classic game modes added like shotty snipers and infinity big team from halo 5. Community emblem and weapon skins. That's kind of what I think will make Halo 5 perfect.

Have the ability to turn all do these and more on and off in customs. Slightly slower ttk Than halo 5 overall. Jump height similar to halo 3/5. No fall damage (can be turned on). [b]multiplayer:[/b] at least as many playlists as halo 3. All gametypes from all previous halos available (or at least 10 or more gametypes). [b]custom games:[/b] as mAny custom options as halo 5, + all the ones that were in previous games but are currently absent. Increased max lobby size to at least 20. [b]Forge[/b]: Honestly just copy and past halo 5 forge with some new maps and I'll be good. Forge is the best thing about halo 5 and is the best it's ever been. Only thing is would add at this point is even more advanced scripting (making your own vehicle from scratch?) and AI. [b]Firefight[/b]: it would exist. [b]Spartan Ops:[/b] It would exist, and maybe with forge players could make their own missions for others to play. [b]miscellaneous:[/b] bring back the custom power up with significantly more options for it. Playable elites, and maybe playable promethean soldiers. Bring back armor abilities, all previous ones plus some. Have them as optional replacements for thruster pack, changed in custom games. Custom weapon effects (adjust attributes like mag size, reload speed, projectile speed, etc). Option for 3rd person camera (turned on in custom game options). Much better designed armor. And armor customization that's just a bit better than halo 4. Also, black bodysuit /custom color bodysuits. Armor is unlocked through challenges and achievements for some and with credits for others.

1 AntwortenIf I had developmental control over the next Halo, I'd fire Brian Reed (and probably throw him into a pit of mutant grizzly bears or something), magically obtain Marty for lead composer, create a middle-ground unlock system between 3 and Reach, eliminate "smart scope" "ground pound" etc.....and reintroduce the flood and at least some sort of gore/blood. Halo 4 and 5 didn't feel gritty and militaristic at all.

You are an ONI operative in Section III; not a Spartan, just a spook. ONI sends you on a mission to kill a certain target. It's not a strict FPS military shooter; it maintains a 1st-person view but there are investigatory components as well as combat. Eventually you uncover and ONI plot and find out they lied to you about your target and made you a scapegoat/patsy, and then the game switches to you running from/fighting ONI themselves while trying to prove your innocence and ONI's guilt. The game, for the sake of fitting in the rest of the universe, would need a bittersweet end where you are successful but ultimately it's all for naught, as ONI is able to successfully cover up. And then your character goes underground, abandoning ONI and waiting to fight their conspiracies another day.

Well they already brought Cortana back, which I think was a mistake. I would have waited a few games myself. List of things: Get rid of the billions of jets all over spartans. Why were they ever there? The abilities are all fine except for hover. Just doesn't make sense. Bring back the CE Magnum as a secret weapon hidden in levels. Make the forerunners fight the flood and then you and the covenant have to fight them to stop halo from activating and killing everyone. Explain halo 5's story Not copy paste the same boss 9 freaking times Remove reqs. Replace them with rewards after every match or so, similar to destiny. Go back to Reach level of customization Slow down hunters Forge would be in release You actually play as Master Chief instead of freaking Locke the entire time Show the difference between the Gen II spartans and the new ones. Go into detail on how chief's armor works Change prometheans so they're actually fun to fight SPNKR rocket launcher, not some cardboard tube Dual wielding Change the sounds for most of the covenant weapons More vehicles A classic halo game mode (like halo 3) Bring back Marty Remove the stupid revive system Splitscreen. Probably one of the #1 reasons I hated Halo 5 Show the difference in strength and pschcology between gen II spartans and current gen ones. Show Chief's relationship with blue team without having to read a freaking book Show Chief's relationship with Arbiter Include Arbiter in the story; show both sides of the conflict like Halo 2 did Put lights back on the shotgun Needle Rifle Grenade Launcher Make death and destruction personal instead of just a body count Beautiful cutscenes (Halo 2 anniversary or better) More humour and heart

The Simple mode would basically just work like Forge in 3, 4 and Reach. [b][u]Firefight[/u][/b] Basically ODST's Firefight, which focused mostly on the feeling of actually trying to survive against endless waves of enemies. Different maps would include different enemies. There would be Matchmaking or Custom sessions with friends. Limited to four players. You would also be able to do custom Firefight like in Reach, but that silly stuff would only be available in Custom Firefight. [b][u]Custom Games[/u][/b] All of the gametypes available throughout all of the Halo games. Include even more customization of every little thing. Armor Abilities would be available only in Forge / Custom Games. [b][u]Matchmaking / Arena[/u][/b] More playlists, all of which are separated into either Social or Ranked. Use 1-50 ranking, but with that rank will decrease by 5 every month the player goes without playing at least ten games in that playlist within that month. [b][u]Player Customization[/u][/b] Players have all the options available in Reach, as well as all of the options available in Halo 5. So this includes the following: [i]Helmet, Chest, Left Shoulder, Right Shoulder, Visor, Utility, Wrist, Knee Guards, Armor Effect, Visor Color, Weapon Skin, Assassination, Stance and Rotation, Gender and Service Tag.[/i] Players may also choose to play as Elites anywhere outside of Ranked Playlists. Elites will have all the customization options that Spartans have. Armor and other unlocks can be unlocked through various means. Achievements and Commendations, or direct purchase with Credits like in Reach. So not all armor can be bought with Credits, as some can only be unlocked by completing certain Commendations or Achievements. This is also the case for Emblems. Also, individual layers of one's emblem can be chosen, and colored individually. The player can also choose a background for the emblem. Basically, you have the freedom of older Halo games, but you can make it look really nice like in Halo 5. Also, a color wheel can now be brought up, rather than choosing from a grid of colors, though that is still an option. [b][u]Warzone[/u][/b] Keep Firefight and Warzone Firefight mostly as is, with only a few tweaks here and there. This of course means free DLC for the players, thanks to REQ packs being used to unlock weapons and vehicles for Warzone. That is, if they sell well. [b][u]Other Stuff[/u][/b] Every unique weapon and vehicle from every Halo game would be included. No Sprint, Ground Pound, Shoulder Charge, Slide or Clamber unless enabled in Custom Games. Default movement speed would be fast and responsive, like a mix between Halo 2 and Halo 3.

Prometheans is one of the main reasons I hate what 343 has done. They're not difficult to kill they're just annoying as -blam!- to deal with. I don't play games to deal with annoying teleporting enemies. Just makes me feel like the devs have shit enemy design so they give the enemies teleportation to make up for their lack of being able to make worthwhile enemies.

17 AntwortenSo you just want an old Halo? That's already been done. I would pump a shit load of money into 343 so they would be able to do whatever they wanted. They have potential, Halo 5 was a good game, and they can take criticism. I have high hopes for Halo 6.

Mod support Matchmaking: Playlists run 1 - 50 skill, different playlists some of which are Classic modes with no sprint, etc and others with reach/h4/h5 type with armor abilities and such. Pleases everyone. Theater mode where several people can view a clip like in H3 Firefight with many maps, space battles, boarding parties onto cruisers, odst drop into enemy turf, etc. Reach or H4 armor customization, with options from all games, keep H5 emblem nameplate though
