Please stop joining private matches if you weren't invited
Especially if we're halfway through a game!
If you do want to join, send me a message and I'm generally happy to invite you in, but please don't just join when we're partway through a game! We might be playing with certain weapons or having a showdown and if you join halfway through without knowing what we're doing it could upset the balance.
I know you can set your fire team to invite only, but occasionally I forget. I've also had it a couple of times where I was disconnected from the game and the fireteam settings returned to default.
It's just common courtesy to ask!
Tl;dr Don't just join, ask first.
Edit: Given everyone keeps mentioning it, I [i]have[/i] sent this to people on my friends list. Those that keep doing it on my friends list will be removed. Just wanted to send out a little reminder of common courtesy to everyone else, even if it doesn't apply to most people as they don't join without asking

1 AntwortenYou're going about this all wrong. If someone joins again after getting the boot, just have everyone switch to one team and beat them down until they leave. Haha.

3 AntwortenTrim your friends list. Anyone that randomly joins in should be unfriended. That's what I do, had people randomly join me uninvited on dailies, nightfall and raids. They immediately get booted and deleted, I don't put up with that kind of behaviour.

I'm sure it's been mentioned but you can change your privacy to Invite Only if you only wants those invited to join.

1 AntwortenI didn't know you could do that...I though private matches were invite only. I have no interest in doing private matches, but do think nobody should be able to join with out an invite.

Looks like a friend list issue. I only have clanmates on my friends list and they always ask what's going on before jumping into my fireteam. I purged my friends list a while back. Had a few random people that added me and now and then they'd jump in if I was running a nightfall or something. One of them kicked me from the fireteam with no warning. I guess he was trying to solo it or something but I felt kinda bad so, I've limited my friends list to my clanmates, the people I interact with on a regular basis.

Yeah my friends list used to be full of people who'd randomly join me all the time. It's pretty bm.
