Initial Thoughts on Private Matches?
In case you haven't logged in or heard the news, Private Matches went live today. We wanted to see what everyone's initial thoughts were.
What do you like?

2 AntwortenOn the whole, it's a good addition to the game. Being able to jump in and have sweaty Dreg's Promise 1v1's and Nova Bomb volleyball matches with swords is a lot of fun. I would love to see some more settings that allow players to completely break the game. Cool down modifiers, gun damage modifiers, melee damage modifiers, jump height... that sort of stuff.

A game type I would like to see is a sort of juggernaut game mode. If you kill the juggernaut, you become the juggernaut.

so far amazing... two ideas for for improvement... add option for map selection as random (possibly from a specific selection of maps) ... add option for continous play... for example once fireteam leader makes "choices" for match have another start after the first finishes, just like in the regular playlist. In order to change the settings, the fireteam leader would have to exit the playlist. Obviously, adding the two ideas together would make it feel like you are in the regular crucible playlist with just your friends...

How's that investigating going for the ghost shells. I've still got a shitty one and smart loot keeps throwing class items at me. It's not like I can decrypt one at this point.

Needs more options - spectator mode - bots/ai - more team options, i.e red, blue and green team... etc - let us choose the length of a match( preset times are nice but not great) - weapon damage (similar to that of halo's custom game settings for weapon) Give us the ability to create our own custom game mode like infection and king of the hill type of games. Let the community decide how new game mode will play out and just like in halo, maybe we can create our own game mode that might get picked up by bungie like infection was.

Need bot/AI enemy options in private match. If my internet is acting up and I dont want to ruin the game for others with lag, I want the option to play multiplayer in private matches via LAN.

Hello Cozmo I've played just a few private matches. One on one, 4 vs 4 in a pig map as I enjoy the most and one that was most fun, the VIP. Private matches gives flexibility in how one may get some fun. So, thank you for it. i normally try normal modes because I need to level up but, with out doubt I play them soon again. See you.

Give us stationary test dummies that display damage feedback in private matches. I would be much better than shooting walls or Dreg that are constantly moving.

12 AntwortenDelete my post about this abysmal expansion, your broken rng, and currently crap leveling system? Cowards. Truth hurts. 1 strike, 1 pvp map, a bunch of guns you took away after every expansion passing as "new" content? HoW and TDB were $20 apiece and had buttloads more content for each one and you greedy bastards know it. I'm officially done, and will do my best to dissuade anyone from getting Destiny 2. Activision truly has corrupted you and your game.

How about instead of wanting you egos stroked over private matches, you fix the f*#kin green bar lag in this quickly becoming stupid a$$ game. Been playing games for 40 years and you people are about as incompetent as it comes when it comes to fixing known problems. The damage modifier for red bars rarely works and they are at the top of the leader board in most matches. Rockets go completely thru green bars, shotguns go thru with no damage and grenades stick and go off for no damage and these are just the fake green bars who are glitching around the screen and shooting you thru the floor from another room. Quit manipulating connections and remove red bars from the game. They and you should not be allowed to cheat me out of fair game play.

I really like private matches. Admittedly since ROI came out I've been doing other things but occasionally I dip in there to have some fun with my friends/ clanmates. I like being able to play games with my friends without having to worry about matchmaking with randoms. I dont like how limited the customization feels in regards to setting up matches. Suggestions: 1) I would like an option to add bots This would allow players an arena to test out a weapon away from the actual Crucible, essentially giving the playerbase a "shooting range" to try out gear. In addition it would give players an option to play certain game modes even if they dont happen to have an ideal number of players available to play the mode. 2) I would like an option to allow us to alter respawn timers for heavy/ special Some people dont like heavy or special but get annoyed by constantly seeing on their screen. Or maybe some people would like to play a game mode with swords only, special only or even primary only. 3) I would options to allow players to tweak things like shield strength or even movement speed. Private Matches were IMO meant to allow players to play the way they want to play yet there dont seem to be a lot of tools available to allow players to do so. I would love to see Infection, King of the Hill and I believe Juggernaut from Halo brought into Destiny. I wasn't a big fan of Halo but these modes were a bit of fun and IMO could be fun in Destiny as well. Also please add SRL to the Private Matches game mode options when it returns in December.

Can't run it with bots... As a matter of fact, I'm not even going to give you detailed suggestions. Just do what every other game does with custom matches and stop half assing every single standard feature you deliver x years in. Quit trying to be innovative by borrowing from other games, implementing it horribly, and then acting like you invented the wheel. You're a development company, but you're constantly relying on US to figure out how to make your video game. Have none of you played any? Want some advice? IMPROVE upon things. Stop subtracting from them and then asking if your minimal effort is sufficient. Destiny is like Walmart. A little bit of everything, and everything is garbage. Bungie is looking real offbrand right now.
