A problem hopefully Bungie could provide a solution for.
So, a few weeks ago my friends and I all pitched in to get our friend, Stryder_957, a PS4 for his birthday on August 20th. He was going through a hard time and we figured him switching from Xbox One to PS4 and finally being able to play with the rest of us would help brighten his life a bit. It worked out quite well, I'm pleased to say.
Anyway, the 2 of us have been trying to get his moments of triumph done before Lords of Iron dropped next week. We are almost done, actually. As far as I know he's only missing 2, completing King's Fall on hard, which we're gonna take care of this week, and collecting all 50 calcified fragments. Regarding the fragments, he's only missing 2. One requires this week's Court of Oryx Tier 3 boss, which we'll get done, and the other we originally thought only required a Nightfall completion.
Clearly, we were mistaken. It does indeed require completing the Nightfall, but only if it's the Shield Brothers or Sunless Cell strike. We had hoped this week's Nightfall would be one of the 2, but alas, it was not to be.
My question to you Bungie is thus, is he screwed?
Edit: People keep saying to do the exotic sword quest line to get it, but as I've already mentioned before, we've done that MoT already. If it worked in getting the fragment he needs, wouldn't he already have it?

2 AntwortenSo a bit of good news to keep you on your toes. The weekly reset is at 4 am Eastern time Tuesday, which means that's when the nightfall along with other weekly events will reset. If you look on the app, according to the timer, you have until 1 pm Eastern time to complete it. Maybe they'll drop it then, which gives you a couple hours to do it. A long shot but you have nothing to lose.

That's sad, all that hardwork. To be honest, I don't like the new MoT emblems or shaders, but hopefully you guys can work this out! Good luck!

Sort of having the same problem, I have all 50 fragments on my account, just not on one character, which the moments of triumph require. Fml.

7 AntwortenIf I'm not mistaken, the nightfall last week changed on Thursday. What you did for your friend is awesome, regardless of MoT. I'll keep my fingers crossed that nightfall changes this Thursday to one that he needs.

1 AntwortenIt's times like this when I wonder if anyone at Bungie truly cares for what the community has to say. If they did, you'd think they'd have more consideration for those who wouldn't or couldn't get the game and/or the console until very recently. Then again, I suppose it's hard to care for a community that, as seen on these forums, is full of immature, condescending or otherwise undesirable personalities. It's disappointing to see what human society has become.

Sometimes you miss the boat. Special considerations are few and far between. It's a bummer if you had your heart set on it, but that's the way it goes. Kudos to you for helping your buddy out.

Honestly I was screwed 3 weeks out, I needed only the golgoroth challenge and was upset when i realized i wouldn't get it because my team had moved to next gen while i couldn't. Not their fault. What I have come to realize is that not getting that last emblem sorta sums up the way i think the community feels about this year of the game, It wasn't quite all there. I couldnt play the game all year because i got tired of switching between strikes and crucible, and with no competent team, I quit attempting trials and the raid as well. So ask yourselves and your friends, not the masses of the player base but you and your own: Not getting all of the Year 2 MoTs, is it really the worst thing in the world?

1 AntwortenDuuuude first of all. You and your friends are awesome and he's lucky to have friends like you. Secondly isn't it bummer that you can't switch an account from ps4 to Xbox and x to 4? I've been seeing this a lot lately. Last gen consoles are becoming outdated and destiny, as popular as it is, gave some people an awesome opportunity to switch consoles and in many cases, merge to where the friends are. I would love to see accounts able to uploaded to bungie.com and recovered on another console type, for situations like yours, a couple of my friends, and for everyone! Alas, it probably will never happen as ps4 has exclusives and whatnot, but one can dream!
