175 exotic engrams currently in my vault
99 armor....76 weapon. All three of my characters will be close to max light on first day...lol. How many have YOU saved?

Edit #2: I have been around since day one and know all about the past history of exotic engrams. If they work they work - if they don't they don't. I have every frigging exotic and had no reason to decode them. I never expected them to decode into the new exotics - if they do great. My best hope was that they would assist in raising my light level from the start. Worst case I am gonna rank up the cryptarch a shitload for packages.
Edit #3: LOL. A lot of posts in this thread. To keep the negative posts down I will address some things I've seen. I have a job and a wife (and a child) and together we make well over $200K per year. These engrams were accumulated over many months as I have all the exotics. Why not save them and hope for the best. I'm not going to decrypt any of the engrams (ok - maybe one of each) until I have ran the story mission/strikes/etc as blues and greens will be higher than our current light level. I havent complained yet about lack of content. I will just start saving for the next expansion as I did this one. :)

1 AntwortenThey haven't guaranteed that they'll decrypt higher than 335. The boot engrams are dropping over 335 at the moment but that may not be the case on the 20th.

Also have a full vault of trash legendaries to scrap for marks, 150 marks worth of osiris bounties, and am capped of coarse. I started Hoarding ToC for the past month in case the exotics don't decrypt into new stuff. Had more but spent some specials to get that trespasser

Worst case scenario you end up with a bunch or shards, mats, and cryptarch rank up packages. Don't blame you at all for waiting

Quite the stockpile. I'm hoarding legendary engrams and gear myself in hopes that we can still use legendary marks to buy the new weapons.

3 AntwortenNot being a hater or anything, but why take measures to prepare in advance for the DLC by stocking up on engrams? I can't imagine how boring it would be getting all the new exotics and high light level on the first few weeks ROI is released. Like I would have no real reason to play anymore except maybe PVP? I can already tell ROI will not have enough content to stretch that far into next year.

Sir, you far exceed my vault of approximately 50 to 60 exotic engrams I have saved for about 2 months now and I my friends were impressed by what I have. They started saving legendaries too but if I start to run out of room I don't care about legendary engrams. Well done sir.

I'm impressed you made space for them in the vault. I've been running with 3 weapon slots and 3 armor slots free across all characters for the last 6 months. (2 pages each of weapons and armor from year 1 I just can't let go of.)
