This explains my resent love hate relationship with hand cannons. I few days ago, I was loving them and then all of a sudden they felt terrible.
-
also, it's precision drop off, not accuracy RNG. If accuracy was bad then all of your shots would miss the crit. The fact that a fair percentage lands exactly where you aim with a few stragglers, makes it a precision issue.

If ur opponent is far away from u and essentially out of the weapons effective range your shots should definitely not always be a gaurantee hit just because the cross hairs are lined up. This even goes for real life guns. If I use a some standard pistol that cops use (sorry I don't know guns) if ur target is 10 meters in front of u, you shouldn't really have that big of problem hitting it. Now if ur target is 150 meters away, even if the cross hairs are directly on the target there will likely be a big chance that the bullet misses simply because it's out of the effective range. U can even put the gun on a table attached to some kind of holder to prevent operator error while the cross hairs are still lined up on the target...and the bullet will likely miss. Notice how in the video he doesn't go over the ghost bullet effect in close range...reason why is because there is none. U are within the guns effective range so why should there be a dice roll chance that bullets are going to miss. Answer is there shouldn't be since ur in the guns effective range. Understand the gun and don't always make dice rolled long range shots you're unsure of. I keep having to say this, but the main reason I am against a hand cannon buff is because MANY people use hand cannons anyway. I load up a normal game of crucible and for the most part it's either hawksaw or a hand cannon at about a 50/50 split. Every now and then you'll have a few people using something that's non-meta but I'm just saying this from personal experience.

Bungie is so shit....
-
Been making this claim for ages, and have a ton of "WTF" clips in my history. So many gunfights lost because of this 'gimmick'. It seems like someone just got frustrated with balance, gave up, and just settled on RNG. That, or it's to help with this 50/50, everyone can be a winner, nonsense poisoning the competitive scene.
-
I'm not playing crucible until they sort this shit out, it's not just hand cannons either, in the video he hit a crit shotgun shot for 74 damage and I know all too well how frustrating that is. If that's how the game is "meant" to be played then I might just stick to PvE come roi.
-
Hand cannons felt so good in year 1. The only change that needed to be made was increased falloff damage. This bloom/accuracy cone bullshit has been frustrating players of Bungie games for years now. Bungie FFS you have tried. You have failed. Nobody likes this shit. It's bad design just -blam!-ing stop it!

Bearbeitet von NebulosaWilczak: 9/10/2016 10:16:33 PMWe had this problem before the last update and it was massive on hand cannons, even if you could feel that ghost bullets were happening in scout riffles, shotguns, pulse riffles and etc. I often play using a No Land Beyond and ghots bullets happened sometimes with her just as the famous "choke". After this uptade it's getting simply impossible to play with this weapon. Not because of supposed sniper nerfs be affecting NLB, but because it's landing tons of ghots bullets. It's simply ridiculous, you land a nice headshot and it counts just as body shot... or dont count at all. Having to deal with choke was already quite unfair with this weapon, but dealing with such high ammount of ghost bullets? Sorry, it ruined a weapon that was simply never competitive (and very fell people uses). Anyway after the update the ammount of ghots bullets had an incredible increasing in all weapons! About this topic also, it reminds me of an theory that someone had written at this forum not long ago. About how Destiny seems to manipulate the match for force a team to win or lose. When you won one match against one team, how this team will have a high possibility of win the next match NOT because of skills but because of "weird things happening in the match" just like the ghots bullets we're talking about. RNG on landing shots or for decide who win or lose a match is in totally contrary way of something minimaly "competitive", as seems Bungie is dreaming about for the future of Destiny.

Sooo..... Nerf fusion rifles right?
jk I've seen the video and bloom sucks
-
5 AntwortenSo... Nerf Thorn, right?
-
4 AntwortenI guess no one has ever used the 50 cal in cod ... Or else this would just be normal recoil. Is destiny these people first fps ?
-
2 AntwortenWow you are 100% right. I never thought of it that way. So nerf thorn right?
-
4 AntwortenCan't say I've had issues with this as I've been able to knock people out of the air across the map with my high fixer, however I have had this issue with shotguns which is why I generally refuse to use them, have also seen this with with snipers but then again as of late the lag in this game has gotten stupid. As for bloom who cares, have seen little to no impact from it. As far as Destiny 2, if I see no improvement for the problems that exist I have no issue dropping this game as well as sequels, if ubisoft wasn't the group of idiots they are I would of already said bye to this game. But as always only a matter of time, this game is definitely no halo and is still lacking in quality, not sure how they went from good pvp to this....

16 AntwortenBearbeitet von LosBados016: 9/10/2016 8:02:41 AMI was just reading through some of the comments and I feel I should mention my opinion on this based off of my experience with the game, take it or leave it its up to you.... First, TripleWreck is at a distance where I feel is within the weapons intended range, any closer and you're in buckshot territory, the doctrine or any other auto of that family will easily destroy from that range. To have a close to mid range, slow firing, low magazine, slow reloading, accuracy dependent weapon, miss shots at that range, in THIS game is disadvantageous. Second, bloom makes sense when you're rapidly firing the damn thing but for fudge sakes rewatch the video and look how he paces those shots. That's about 1-2 seconds between each shot, that's when the gun has centered back and bloom shouldn't be a factor, let's not to mention that In a gun fight, 1-2 seconds means someone is dead, if you get affected by 1 ghost bullet, not even 2 then chances are you're the one frustratedly tapping respawn. Third, what is with half of you guys and this technical bullshit (oh well there's bloom on everything, yada yada yada, why should they touch hand cannons blah blah blah) we are talking about fudging hand cannons and their ghost bullets, we aren't having these problems with the other weapons, besides shotguns, and even that's understandable with all of those nerfs lol, I digress. Stop trying to make a wall of text that has nothing to do with the main topic, it's annoying and painful to read through lol just my opinion
-
Haha what are y'all gonna do if bungie doesn't fix it? They already got your money haha
-
This needs to be fixed. There should not be any argument about this. In a video game my bullets should go where I aim it. I should never have to second guess when my shot is going to deliver the killing blow. This is not a hand cannon problem only. It is also on most closer range guns like AF and shotguns.
-
2 AntwortenThis why I should just stop playing this game. I'm gonna try
-
Bungie won't listen

-
Bump, but bungie won't listen, I dunno how these guys are the ones who created a classic shooter like Halo :(
-
Yeah I saw this the other day. Pretty ridiculous
