Recently, a certain Exotic weapon (Universal Remote) has become a topic of debate in these forums. Some people want it nerfed, others want it to stay where it is.
I thought I'd make my own thoughts clear on the subject, so I made this thread.
Despite the fact that the thread has 8 likes as of me writing this sentence, the majority of the comments seem to be focusing on one of two things:
1) Snipers are OP and that means UR needs nerfing (You guys realise how ridiculous this sounds, right?)
2) OP HAS A LOW K/D AND THAT SOMEHOW RENDERS ALL HIS POINTS INVALID HURR HURR HURR!
Yes, I have a low K/D. Until a few months ago, I sucked in the Crucible. In addition, I rarely ever actually try during my matches. Why? There's no point. Any rewards I get are based on participation, not performance. I don't have an incentive to win, therefor I see little point in trying.
Leaving my recent improvements aside, why the hell should the fact that I have a low K/D in the crucible leave me with basically no respect whatsoever in these forums? Why the hell does it matter that the person saying these things either sucks or is super amazing at Skirmish or some crap?
Almost all I see when I get a new notification is someone either insulting my skill or my intelligence and I don't know how much longer I can take it. I'm getting sick and tired of the ridicule, guys. I paid for this game, I'll play it however I damn well please, and my opinion matters just as much as any one of yours. So get the hell off of your high horse and start treating me with some goddamn respect!

KD is life and any YouTuber that calls for nerds can tell you that.

The Destiny crucible community is toxic and cancerous. Has been for ages.
-
This community has already been toxic
-
I actually agree, it's like someone with 1000 hours of gameplay knows more than somebody with 500 because he played more
-
The crucible side of the community has been toxic for a very long time, it all started when Bungie made trials of Osiris. Trials is one of the worst things Bungie has put into Destiny and I hope it does not return in Destiny 2.

Turning toxic, I don't know where you've been. It's been toxic for a while.

How to get good at the crucible, easy to follow step by step guide 1- Get gunz 2- Equip em 3- get thumbs 4- Acquire some eyes 5- Get to your desired crucible playlist 6- Get some -blam!-ing ears 6- Find some mountain dew 6- Play

All a team of high K/D does is put you up against higher K/D teams. Let them work against and destroy themselves.

2 AntwortenI'm a crap pvp player but I still enjoy it. You paid for the game so just play and enjoy it. Negative comments will always be there just ignore them, you have nothing to prove it's just a game bro. So enjoy it.

Ok but i like my 3.0+ kd and getting hate for being a virgin no life -blam!- bitch. I mean its fun being good. Ive only had the game for a week or so but damn is it fun wrecking people whove been playing since day 1. Shows my superiority and that im better at everything else than them.
Jk but i do enjoy this games pvp first fps ever. Good start
5 Antworten
2) OP HAS A LOW K/D AND THAT SOMEHOW RENDERS ALL HIS POINTS INVALID HURR HURR HURR!
People with bad stats most likely don't understand the strengths and weaknesses in this game.

Ehhhh it really depends on what someone is talking about. I know back in the day when people ran year 1 exotic handcannons that could cross map kill in record time, people would claim that you just sucked if you had a low KD and complained even if you had a valid argument (note the fact that generally speaking year 1 exotics handcannons were on top.) It was always funny to see someone lose a "argument" and then try to rag on someones KD or even grimiore score to try and dismiss their claims.

1 AntwortenKD matters when a match ends and you have 5 kills and 20 deaths or 20 kills and 20 deaths. Depending on the type of kills and amount of assists you're just handing the other team points when you die too much. When you give a team that many kills you've made it that much more difficult to win. It's really a balancing act for 6v6. Not every person on the team will get 20+ kills and/or be positive. If you know you're not great then play defensively, team shoot enemy, follow the good player(s), etc. I'd rather you be negative with 5 deaths than negative with 15 deaths.

10 AntwortenYour kd sucks. Get on my level

4 AntwortenYour stats simply aren't decent enough for your opinion to be of any value to anybody. It's simple as that.

A bad player making comments in regards to what they believe is OP is similar to my little brother complaining about taxes being too high. He's not necessarily wrong but carries no clout because he's too young to pay taxes.
-
The only think wrong with the Uni is the play style that goes with it like Jug striker Titans and really that's not even that much to complain about, well very annoying not the end of the world. Because after all it is a primary shotgun, so if it wasn't a little better than say a party crasher there is literally no reason to use it besides the fact of having a sniper in you're special but in that case just run no land.

The community is already toxic.

10 AntwortenI mean as long as someone has a 1+ KD, I'll play Trials with them. That is good proof that you are a decently consistent player.
-
2 AntwortenA minority cared about K/D until ToO was out. Most ToO teams want 1.4+ K/D player. I know some ppl who deleted there characters or created a whole new account to fix there K/D. This being said no one should shut down your argument about this game if you've played a lot of said activities.
