The "Spare Change.25" Pulse Rifle needs to be removed from the game.
So, if you play Crucible
Who am I kidding, Crucible is this game's life support.
When you play Crucible, you've probably bagged yourself a "Spare Change.25". A legendary pulse rifle. And why is it called "Spare Change.25" you may ask?
Because that's all the god damn gun is worth.
It's a high impact pulse rifle that requires timing and perfect precision, but yOU CAN'T GET PERFECT PRECISION BECAUSE THE BASTARD PULLS TO THE UPPER LEFT/RIGHT.
What kind of recoil is this? Does firing this gun dislocate my guardian's shoulder everytime he shoots it?
In all seriousness though. The only perk that makes this gun somewhat usable, is Counterbalance. But not even Counterbalance will make this piece of shit worth the effort. Literally any other pulse rifle can do what the Spare Change can do except it'll be easier on your shoulders.
I would rather be rewarded an actually quarter than this gun. Hell, I would rather it [i]shoot[/i] quarters.
The description says [i]Keep it.[/i] Just like that.
Either it's saying [i]Keep It[/i] because Bungie believes that this gun totally doesn't perform like elephant shit, or its saying it because having this gun in the loot table puts too much internal strain on the system, pulling all the data files to the upper left corner like its recoil, and the game has no other choice but to dump it into our inventory.
"But I use the spare change because DURRR I haz a gawd roll spare change with extra pennies DURRR"
Look. I don't care about your god roll, because if I were to give this thing wolfpack rounds, Dreg's Promise would still outperform it. Without any ammo.
It's that bad.

1 AntwortenI've had one before. Tried to use it, immediately dismantled. The recoil is absurd. Without something like counterbalance + a stability perk (braced frame, hand-laid stock), you can't even use the gun at long ranges where it's supposed to perform. It's sad, because statistically, it can barely 2-burst people if you land all precision shots (34 x 6 = 204). I managed to get another one recently (no good perks tho) and want to try it out again, but I don't have high hopes.

Not that you are wrong about the gun without counterbalance. Combined with braced frame, i find it very effective when applied to The face.

1 AntwortenIt mainly works best with titans because, when you dislocate your shoulder while shooting, later you just put it back in place when you shoulder charge someone. #titanlogic

I keep having it drop with god tier pulse rifle rolls. It's too bad I can't stand the rate of fire on it. If only Bungie would enable the Full Auto perk to roll on these archetypes, I might actually consider using one. [spoiler]Don't tell me to buy a "special controller" or some shit like that. Got ruined by this weapon the other night. Felt like a two shot hopscotch style kill time. First shot stunned me...tried to turn but dead.

Every time I see posts like these I just think about the amount of weapons I have in my Vault waiting for the "meta" to change.

What they really should do with the high impact pulses and autos is increase their damage in PVE so they are actually useful somewhere...
